River Knolls

I live here, nice livin on hilltop and they have pretty cool views, although idk why someone would pay so much to move into one of the many with no view because they are definatly over priced, and they make you pay an extra pet rent a month for a pet. The pool is ok no privacy and itis right up against the office wich is all windows not very comfortable spot. I would be mad if i had people over swimming and we were asked fornotliking an apartment#. IDK who the peeps on here are talkin about because the 2 manager girls have always been really nice. Although I dont like the 2 maitenence guysif thats what they both are,could be father and son, but they felt the need to comment on what i was doing and I almost toldthemmaybe they should focus fixing and cleaning things because all of the apt front entrance ways, walls and ceilings are filthy more

I work for River Knolls going on 5 years\r One of my residents came in and told me about this Web-site and that i should take a look at what people are saying.\r after reading the reviews it sad to see such reviews\r One must consider when reading these.\r That River Knolls has been her for about 22 years\r we have 112 apts.\r and yes there are going to been some people not happy but keep in mind maybe we asked these people to move\r we do have rules when you leave here and some people can't seem to follow rules\r like pool and spa hours\r having your dog on a leash\r Also i would like to say that some of my residents are not old but re-tired and and young at heart.\r if you really want to know more about us.\r please stop by and i would be happy talk to you and take you on a tour of our ground.\r I'm proud to work for this Mesa management, and looking forward to put many more years with this Company\r \r Thank you\r \r . more

River Knolls is the worst place i have ever lived. they got a somewhat good view(depending which apt. your in), and thats the only good thing they have going for them. The management sucks! The new manager talks a big talk and treats you like your a child, not to mention incompetent. Oh and she comes into your home unannounced! Rent is way over priced and not to mention all the other crap you have to pay for. If your interested in River Knolls... don't go there!!! save your money. more

To all of you looking to rent at River Knolls.I am the new Manager,I gets things done.So please check us out,Large units ,Wonderful views,Apt are upgraded with new appliance,Built in microwaves.Yes in the past there were a few issues,but those are no longer here.Here you will get your moneys worth..Any questions call me personally. more

My roommates and I moved in here a couple mounths ago, the management is terrible they dont help when asked and they lied about the billing fees. The power outlets do not work, you ask to get them fixed and they come try to fix them and they still dont work. The weight room is horrible, the laundry room is crap (does not clean or dry your clothes). The billing for water is insane they charge you by the square footage of the apartment how many people live in it then start charging on how much you use. The air conditioning is a joke it doesent come close to cooling are 2 bedroom apartment. more

Even with the new manager, Living in this complex is VERY unsatisifactory. Trying to get a response from the new manager Donna, is a joke!!!!!!! Will be moving when lease up in late November!!!! more

It has a great view, 2 pool, a fitness center, a laundry room, and it the mangment puts on parties for holidays. =] more

I have been a resident for 3 years and will be moving when lease is up. Michelle the manager has repeatedly lied about the services offered and fails to follow through on maintenance more

I have moved into River Knolls in February of 2009. I have to say that I truly love it here. The rent is a little high but it is worth it. The apartments are so spacious and the Management is great they have always went above and beyond to help me with anything I need even if it not even related to River Knolls. Many people don't know but if they ask they might be surprised. more

So, the from the outside you would think wow these look nice till you get inside and the stove, microwave, outlets fans lights EVERYTHING is old and crappy (including the management). Waaaay overpriced view is nice but thats it. Dont waste your mula I'm serious! more

My 6 month lease is up and not soon enough! Over priced the only thing you should pay for is the view but considering mine is a view of power lines I dont know why they charge the same for the good view apartments as the bad. crap appliances, crappy managers alot of scummy and old people live here (probably friends with management because i hear they have cheaper rent) This place is nowhere near worth what they charge. more

I have lived here for about 2 years now and i hate it! Spa does not even work for the last month and all of winter! Pools are okay but management asks you what apt number you live in everytime you go to it and kick out people that you have over if your not at the pool with them. Over priced, everything breaks and management is just horrible. Instead of fixing up the inside of the apartments they spend thousands on painting the outside and making the yards pretty. I would rather have a not ancient microwave and stove than a pretty yard. Have to pay for water and sewage. only apartments in redding that do that. if you have not lived anywhere else in redding you may think these are the nicest based on the outside view, but us locals know there are much cheaper better places to move into. Try the apartments on Canby road or 3465 santa rosa way off of lake blvd for cheaper prices and double the size also new everything! more

$795 for a 1 bed rm, had to do additional cleaning the day i moved in, appliances all old, half the outlets in my apartment do not work, celing fan lights do not work and you cant get them out, fridge drawer broke, tp holder broke, town holder fell out of wall, cutting boards dont even fit in the hole they cut out, garbage disposal does not work right. I have 3 friends who rent from here we all have the same problems! Management is rediculous, treat you like your 2 yrs old. you have to purchase rental insurance (its in your contract they dont tell you about it) which is anywhere from $110-$200. Also have to pay for water, sewage and garbage. Water is not individually metered they just average everyones together and split it evenly. Do your self a favor and get a new town house for the same amount of money and a lot more space! more

These apartments are the nicest apartments in Redding, they have it all! Most of the apartments have an excellent view of the city lights and the Sacramento River. Each one has a beautifully decorated interior, private deck, and upstairs apartments have vaulted ceilings that give the illusion of a huge amount of space. While the staff is a little up-nosed, the application process is scrutinizing, and the prices are high, once you go into your apartment - you are living the nice life! Several pools, and one jaccuzi near the office. There is also a small gym, and a recreation room with TV and a library of books that you can "borrow". They hold senior bingo once a week, and other activities for the residents. PROS: Beautiful inside and out. CONS: Highest prices in Redding! more
