Best

Nice place as you can sit down inside in a private area or tables outside, parking is easy, it's located next to a theater and park...

Happy Hour 4/18/2009

Happy Hour was not too bad. $2.95 dish and the alcohol was alright. When we went, it was kinda quiet and didn't feel like it was doing that well. Sushi tasted alright. more

pricey and not that great 7/22/2008

Menu selection is quite limited & food is pricey and not that great. I will give them points for good service though. more

Rikki Rikki - quality going downhill 4/10/2007

When I first moved to Kirkland 3 years ago, Rikki Rikki was my favorite Japanese restaurant. However my visits during the past year have been disappointing. I often order a Bento Box during lunch, and the Chicken Teriyaki is always luke-warm (pre-cooked). Other cooked items I've gotten there have been dry and pre-cooked as well. My preference in Kirkland is Salmon Creek (in Juanita Village) or Izumi (for Sushi). more

not to its usual freshness or taste 12/12/2006

Went to lunch at Rikki Rikki today with a client after their signing appointment for a new condo and we were looking forward to a lovely celebratory lunch. Since we are both sushi fans (and my client had lived in Tokyo for a year) we figured this would be a great spot. For years I've been going here and today would have to be the first time I would not rank it on the higher side of Eastside sushi places. It was okay, the value was good, but the fish lacked the flavor I was expecting - including the salmon, which is normally one of the more strong flavored fish on a plate of sashimi. I'll continue to visit Rikki Rikki but my adoration of them has been slightly diminished. My client didn't have anything negative to say but he didn't rave about it either - a sign I don't consider to be necessarily good. For sushi afficionados you know that if you've had awesome sushi you'll be talking about it afterward. I hope my next visit causes me to edit this up to a higher rating. more

Good food and very nice atmosphere 9/7/2006

I've been to Rikki Rikki several times over the last year and it has always been a pleasant experience. Fresh sushi and good waitstaff. Plus their location is very convenient to the East Side. If you like a good Japanese meal, this is a great place to try. more

Rikki Rikki - Premier Japanese Restaurant & Bar 4/11/2006

I've been personally involved with Rikki Rikki for many years and the owners are some of the nicest and decent people you'd meet. The food is always fresh and Masahiro (the owner) comes up with new interesting recipes and dishes all the time. His experimentation with sauces and marinades led to a whole side business (www.rikkirikki.com). The interior of the restaurant is simple, yet very unique and modern, utilizing anime-style drawings on the walls. There are several private booths in the back. The staff is always friendly and helpful. More information can be found on their web site (www.rikkirikki.com). In addition to information, the site provides ability to order takeout online (via www.takeout-online.com) as well as order their excessively tasty dressings, sauces and marinades (Soy Ginger is most popular, although Asian Ranch with Wasabi is my favorite). If you're looking for sushi, bento boxes, environment with good food and service - check out Rikki Rikki. more

Rikki Rikki remains number one sushi destination for us. 11/28/2005

We've been eating at Rikki Rikki for almost ten years. From the day it opened, it's been a favorite for our entire family. Recently, we've wondered about changing faces among the wait staff and some hosts/hostesses (did someone new take it over?) ... but the wonderful little Japanese woman was back at the door the last several times we've been in, and the food remains GREAT. This place accommodates small children well, including making 'learner' chopsticks for them -- this involves a small paper spacer and a rubber band. HIGHLY recommended. more

Always great 11/23/2005

I love the sushi here, it's always very fresh, their menu is varied and interesting and the service is very good. In the past eight years I've never had a bad experience there. The atmosphere is different from a lot of Japanese restaurants, the walls are painted with bright anime (or manga, maybe?) scenes. Larger groups can request their own little rooms toward the back of the restaurant. more
