Do not waste your money here. I've been to Rick's about 5 times, and somehow the bad memories fade and I return hoping things will get better, but it never does. The food is consistently bad and the service borders on rude. The portion sizes are tiny and the ingredients are cheap and skimpy. Even the vegetable soup is like watered-down ketchup! Today I ordered the French toast - the plate was virtually empty except for two slices of cheap soggy bread cut into tiny halves - the worst French toast and the sorriest excuse for a breakfast I have EVER seen. When my companion politely mentioned a mistake in his order, the server rolled her eyes, sighed loudly and stomped away. We have often gone an entire meal without a coffee refill. Having been to most every restaurant in Durham, I can say confidently that this is the worst.
Pros: Lively atmosphere
Cons: Very poor food, Very poor service, Crowded seating
