I never write reviews, but this time is a must! I came to Ricki Criswell with the most horrible skin you've ever seen. Too much sun, not enough water and just not caring for it ...

Her facials are the best!! I have just been there twice but I can absolutely see the difference. She is a very patient & knowledgeable aestitician and she knows exactly what the person needs. The Best!!!! 7/17/2009

I'm in my late 20's and have had acne and acne scars for the past 6 years. I've tried EVERYTHING from proactive, dermatologist treatments, facials, microdermabrasion, you name it!!! I even went as far as going to LDI for a laser consult. The MD at LDI recommended $8000 worth of treatments. I walked out of LDI feeling hopeless and resorted to what I know best....lots and lots of make-up! I used to be the person that goes to the gym with make-up because I was too embarrassed of my skin. Ricki was able to change that immediately! I noticed that my skin was dramatically improved after just the first treatment. I've now had 5 treatments with Ricki and feel confident enough to leave the house without any make-up. My skin is glowing and I'm no longer embarrassed of the person that I used to see in the mirror. I've stopped looking- Ricki is the best!! 6/23/2009

I have had problem skin since I was a teenager and now I am in my 30's. Now I'm struggling with both acne and aging problems. I've tried dermatologists and every product imaginable. I was at my wits end and was searching on line and found Ricki's Skin Care. I read all the great reviews and gave it a try. The reviews are true!! She immediately makes you feel at ease and really listens to your needs. I had the microdermabrasion done and even after just one session, I can see a difference in the clarity of my skin. I can't wait to the the results after more sessions. She is an expert in her field. For the first time, I can stop worrying about my skin and put it in her capable hands to help me correct my problems. Give it a try! You won't be sorry!! Crazy amazing facial! 5/24/2009

All I can say is that I didn't want to get up from her table. I was in the zone and my skin looked unbelievable. I have the oxygen infusion facial which felt so good and Ricki's massage which put me over the edge. I can't wait to come back in 6 weeks! Pros: on time, clean, quiet, reasonable Cons: none more

The best Brazilian wax I've ever had 5/22/2009

I am beyond happy to write this review. I always went to West Hollywood to get my painful brazilian wax and never looked forward to it. I decided I didn't want to go over the hill anymore so I found Ricki on the internet and she had great reviews. She was FAST, fun to talk to and her wax is amazing. I mean, I felt it, but it was about 70% less painful then the place I used to go to. The best brazilian I've ever had. So happy I don't have to go over the hill anymore! Ricki has been doing my services for 16 years and though I have traveled and had services in other places, I have to say Ricki is a master of all. I've never had a better brazilian wax anywhere and her facials put me right in the zone, leaving my pores clean and my skin glowing. I highly recommend the oxygen facial. Truly the best brazilian I've ever had! 2/18/2009

Based on great reviews, I took a chance and tried a brazilian wax. I've had many in the past, but nothing compares to Ricki's technique. She's fast, her wax isn't as painful as others, and she talked me through it. Before I knew it, she was done....I think maybe 10 minutes. I booked another one in 3 weeks. Ricki is the bomb! I love her technique and her wax. She is fast and almost painless. I am so happy I finally found someone who knows how to do a brazilian wax properly. I moved to LA from NY and tried so many different people until i found Ricki. She uses gloves and never double dips her wax. That's how it should be!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

MUST try the Oxygen Facial 12/23/2008

I received a gift certificate for an oxygen facial at Ricki's over 5 years ago and have been going back for more ever since. First of all, It was the first facial I'd ever had that my skin didn't have some sort of reaction to. I immediately booked a series of treatments with Ricki to get my skin in its best condition for my wedding. A content, converted facial-phobe, I've been a regular client ever since. It's not just the great results that keep me coming back, but the overall experience of the treatments. The oxygen facial, in particular, is phenomenal. Ricki manages to immediately transport you to a state of bliss with a hand and foot massage which culminates in your happy fingers and toes being slipped into warm gloves and booties for the remainder of the treatment. Then your face will be gently cleansed with top quality products before the oxygen portion of the facial begins. The sensation of oxygen dancing over your skin is a pure delight, as Ricki gets the healing product into each and every pore. The experience comes to a close with a fabulous head and neck massage that you'll never want to end. You'll emerge from this treatment relaxed, refreshed and ready to book the next one! I have been going to Ricki's Skin Care for about 15 years now, and the fact that I have been going to her for so many years makes it apparent that the quality, cleanliness, and service is top-notch. When you walk into Ricki's Skin Care, you are greeted very warmly by Ricki herself and her waiting area is very inviting. She has aromatherapy candles burning so it smells good, and the decor is very comforting and appealing. The place is also very clean and sanitary, which is very important to me. Ricki is the best aesthetician around, in my opinion. She takes her time to give you high-quality service, and you're not just a number. She is very personable and is an expert at what she does. She is gentle and extremely fast in her waxing techniques, unlike other places who do not pay attention to detail. The results are fabulous, and she takes the time she needs to do the job just perfectly. I am a veteran client of Ricki's and will continue to frequent her business on a regular basis. Cleanest and Most Professional skin care facility 11/20/2008

Ricki is great at making people feel comfortable and she is one of the cleanest skin care professionals I have ever met. Her equipment is immaculate, and she does a great job. I've been in for both a brazilian bikini wax and a facial. I hadn't found a place to get a brazilian since I moved to LA and was kind of trying out different salons, which is a horrible experience letting various people deal with your most "private" parts, if you know what I mean! When I was done with my first session at Ricki's I knew my search was over!!! She was extremely hygenic and professional. The wax was perfect, relatively painless, and quick! Then I tried a facial for the first time, and I was blown away. She sets the mood with lowering the lights and calming music. All of the products she used on my face smelled amazing, and she gave me an incredible massage on my feet, arms, and neck! My skin was so flawless and smoothe after the fact. I'm not a facial regular, but if I ever need one again I have no doubt that I'll go back to her. As a matter a fact, I'm made my boyfriend an appointment to get a facial from her:) She's amazing and I love not having to shop around anymore! Most thorough facial I've ever had 10/26/2008

I found Ricki on Citysearch based on her great reviews and I was not disappointed. I would have to say it was probably the best facial I've ever had. You can see the difference with someone who has her experience. My skin looks so even and smooth. She used this amazing brush on my skin. I don't know what it does, but my skin looks and feels completely different then it did when I came in. She also did a fabulous job in my eyebrows. I know sometimes it's the luck of the draw when you find someone on the internet, but I promise you she will not disappoint. I already made my next appointment.
