Treat yourself to an Intraceuticals Oxygen facial! 5/3/2010

I have to say I was a bit unsure when I decided on the oxygen facial. I've had all kinds of facials, but an oxygen facial? How different could it really be? Yes, Madonna swears by them, so she must know something more then I do, right? From the moment I laid down on Ricki's amazing table, I knew I was a gonner. She worked her magic hands over my face, cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, then the Intraceuticals O2 facial begun. She sprayed this serum, which I'm told contained many different vitamins and she infused them into every pore on my skin. It was absolute HEAVEN! Now I understand why oxygen is so important to the skin. After her massage, which included hands and feet, she applied more products on my skin that felt like warm velvet. I felt like I was levitating..(well, kinda lol) I didn't want to leave. The experience was so decadent. My skin looks so good. I swear I look like i did 10 years ago. I can't wait to do it again! i went there to get waxed and i fell in love with the ambiance and the cozy welcoming feeling the place had. Ricki is the sweetest in the world and i will never go to anyone else for waxing. LOVE her work. :) Pros: clean and very welcoming Cons: none more

Amazing Eyelash Tint & Perm!! 4/5/2010

I wanted to get my eyelashes tinted and permed so I researched online and saw great reviews of Ricki's Skin Care. I made an appointment with her and had such a wonderful experience with Ricki. She was very friendly and professional. She answered all my questions I had and ruled out all the doubts I had about tint & perming my eyelashes. During the service she also waxed and shaped my eyebrows and I absolutely LOVED what she did with them! After Ricki was done perming & tinting them I was AMAZED!! She turned my stick straight blond lashes into black curled lashes. I absolutely love how my eyes look now. My eyes look like I have mascara on and it looks 100 times better now. I am so happy with my experience with Ricki that I am going to go to her for all my beauty needs now and definitely refer all my friends to her as well. Thanks so much Ricki!!! My skin is like buttah. Microdermabrasion ROCKS! 2/18/2010

I had my first microdermabrasion treatment today and all I can say is why didn't I do this sooner??!!?? Ricki was great at putting me at ease b/c I didn't know what would happen. Would my face feel like sand paper? Would I lose time at worK? None of the above, just smooth skin with lighter brown spots that will eventually get lighter. I'm coming back next week for #2 in my series . Cant wait! Pros: great customer service Cons: can't think of any more

great wax and great customer service 1/27/2010

I was driving in my car, looking for a place to get a brazilian wax so I punched best brazilian wax 91604 on my iphone and Ricki's Waxing Studio came up. I spoke to her (not a receptionist) and she was very pleasant and helpful since I just moved to this side of the hill. When I arrived, Ricki greeted me and took me right in. I was so used to waiting forever at other place I went to. All I can say is she was so fast and "almost painless" as she describes her method. She used this green wax that smells actually quite good. She was finished in about 10 minutes. She offered me green tea and chocolate when I was done, then I was out the door. I will most definitely be back. more

Beautiful Eyebrows 12/9/2009

Ricki had such great reviews, so I came because I grew my eyebrows out from a bad wax job. She listened to what I wanted and now they are perfectly arched and exactly how I wanted them before they got hacked. Pros: She listens to your needs more

What can I say about Ricki? Always got me in, even if it was so last minute. She has always been so warm and a perfectionist, which is great when it comes to waxing my lip or eyebrows and even my bikini line. She has taken such good care of me and my friends for over 9 years. Ricki has transformed my brows. I came to her with brows that were massacred by a waxing I had before. It took 2 months to grow them in. She tweezed, waxed and transformed them into perfect brows again. more

Fast, hygenic brazilian and knows her stuff! 11/30/2009

I just moved to LA from Toronto and found Ricki online. Based on great reviews, I took a chance. She was so fast (faster then my girl back home) and super clean. Ricki is warm and friendly. What's great about her skin spa, is she takes care of everything, so the costomer service is impecable! So glad I found her more

When you choose an esthetician for yourself, you first look at your technician's face, and think that face is the most presentable part of our body, and the healthy looking skin of your therapist gives you an initial encouragement and confidence, and at least some guarantee that you are in good hands. My instinct was right. Ricki looks amazing, has the smooth, fine texture on her own face, and she just passed it onto me, using her magical hands, custom made creams/Ricki's secret recipes, and innovating techniques. more

Thank you Ricki for clearing up my acne. 11/19/2009

I had the worst skin after moving to LA 2 years ago. Based on great reviews, I took a chance. Since Ricki also suffered from acne and showed me pictures of her skin before she cleared it up, I just trusted her, especially since my skin started clearing up after the first treatment. I've had 6 microdermabrasion and some other things she does (not sure) treatments, seeing her once a week. I can honestly say, my skin is looking like it did before I moved here. I'm not breaking out anymore! Ricki absolutely deserves 5 stars! Janet more

Customized to your liking.... 10/25/2009

The last time I had a treatment at Ricki's we figured out how long I'd been going to her for my waxing and facials....it's been at least 10 years! Whenever someone in my family is looking to get me a gift for my birthday or the holidays, they call Ricki and she mails them a certificate to Ricki's Skin Care! It's so easy and always appreciated! I've been going to Ricki for many years now - too many to count - she does such a wonderful job on my skin - I am addicted. And no matter how poor I am, I won't give up my visits to her salon. FINALLY, I have good skin! 10/12/2009

I have been having skin problems ever since I moved to L.A. 4 years ago. Ricki told me it would take consistency if I wanted to improve my skin. She said I could take antibiotics and could clear it up quickly and it would come right back after I stopped taking them. Together, through bi-monthly glycolic facials and keeping my hands off my face in conjunction with using great products, my skin is now exactly how it was before I moved here. It took about two months. She now does monthly microdermabrasion to smooth out the scars I had from old acne. A+ for my Ricki! Pros: Ricki knows her stuff Cons: none more

I have suffered from a patch of acne for a few years now. Nothing has worked -- facials, exfoliation, creams, etc. I read Ricki's reviews on Citysearch and decided to give her a try. Well, after only 2 sessions of microdermabrasion my skin was amazing. I now go out without makeup all the time and finally feel like I'm one of those people with nice skin! I was a little nervous having a wax done again since a while ago my experience was aweful....what impressed me about Rikki was that she actually responded to the reviews that her customers wrote so I figured let's give this a try....Rikki was very courteous, down to earth, professional and talks with you so you don't think about what she is doing....she made this experience one that I would definitely go back and I did.
