Excellent Service Department 2/3/2017

I could bring my car to another place for service since my car is out of warranty but I choose to continue to come to Rick Case Hyundai in Plantation, FL. The service advisors are wonderful and so helpful. Thanks All! more

Surge Shield Replacement 1/13/2017

As usual, the service was very good. My surge shield broke the day before and I took my car in to have that replaced the next day. Got a tire rotation as well as new brakes as Tom is my right arm. He has been great for the past almost 6 yrs since I bought my car. I'm 72 going on 39 and I can't rave enough about the good service I have gotten consistently over the years. For my peace of mind, I'm always willing, if needed, on occasion, to pay a little more for excellent service. It's the old saying, "you get what you pay for!" more

New Front Tires, and new windshield wipers, oil change on 10/2/16 10/6/2016

Manny and Eric were awesome. I brought my Hyundai 2011 Elantra in as the tire pressure icon was lit and I didn't want to lose air to be towed. My advisor I usually use doesn't work on Sundays, so I just decided to drive in no matter who would take care of me. Kudos to Manny and Eric, as I double checked with Tom, my usual advisor, a few days later, where the work done was very important for my safety. more

TERRIBLE SERVICE- LACK OF COMMUNICATION 8/23/2016

A high pressure a/c hose was needed for the service of vehicle. This was not available at the dealership and was ordered. This took 10 business days to get back to dealer. No communication from Service advisor.I had to keep calling and he had no answer as to why part was taking so long and forward my call to parts dept.. Daily temp. was 95 degrees. I had to drive in that temp 1 hr each way to work daily. When I requested a loaner I was told there were none available. Other services prior to this were good. more

A place I trust 8/16/2016

I brought my car in for its routine service, but this time I needed tires which I had shipped earlier. I mentioned my A/C wasn't blowing as cold as I thought. and I had questions about my spark plugs as my car is coming up on 70k miles. Servicing and tires were done without issues, but dye was put into my A/C system and I was told the gaps on the plugs were widening which made sense since my gas mileage was beginning to decline. Earnest my service adviser kept me informed of the servicing process and issues every step of the way. I came in on a Saturday which was a VERY busy day. All in all everything but the A/C issue and plugs was handled the same day. It was necessary to let the car run for a few days to locate any leaks in the A/C system and I was told that changing the plugs would be a 5-hour job - one or more of the exhaust manifolds would have to be removed to neccessitate the plug replacement. Since I had come later that day instead of first thing in the morning, more work would have probably been done. With all that said, my car goes back in this weekend to finish installing the new plugs and to see how leaky the A/C system is. Earnest informed me that I would be provided with a courtesy car this time so that I wouldn't be inconvenienced any more than necessary for the day. This was one of the more unique service visits I've had, but still this dealership employs good competent people who care about their customers. I've been a customer at this location since I bought my car nine years ago and I have a good relationship with Earnest and Tom the service advisers. I realize I'm paying more money than I would at another shop, but the peace of mind I have knowing my car is in good hands and running on good parts more than offsets that. more

overpriced 5/4/2016

Needed to have windshield sprayers unclogged. Should have been under warranty but instead charged $60 plus another $10 for shop rags. Took them 10 minutes to correct. Hyundai inc said it is at discretion of dealer to cover it or not. more

Great Service Agents 2/23/2016

I bought my Hyundai Sonata in 2012 in North Carolina. After I moved to Florida in 2015, I was glad to find Rick Case for my maintenance needs. I felt more comfortable taking my car to a dealership for oil changes, since I had such a good experience with the dealership in NC. The service agents at Rick Case are wonderful. They listen to my requests and explain the work they're doing clearly. If they find something else that needs work (i.e. break fluid replaced, air filter changed, etc.), they are quick to tell me and inform me of the cost. I have not felt like they take advantage of women but rather "look out" for all their customers. However, each time I've taken my car for maintenance at Rick Case, a salesman has approached me in the waiting area to try to sell me a new Hyundai. The last time (2-10-16) I took my laptop with me to do some work while I was there and also in hopes I would not be interrupted by a salesman. My current car loan is with a local credit union, the interest rate is the lowest I have ever seen, and I'm completely happy with my $220/month car payment. Even after I clearly say I am not interested in buying a new car, the salesmen always push to try to get me in a new car. The last time I was having an oil change, the salesman repeatedly asked me if I was sure I didn't want a new car. He claimed he was trying to save me money. I was having routine maintenance done on my car, which I budget for yearly. So I fail to see how buying a brand new car during a regularly scheduled oil change will save me money. The reason I mention this is because it is a pattern at Rick Case. If it only happened once, I wouldn't bother writing about it. I also understand a salesman's income depends on making sales. But badgering people in the service waiting area is not a good tactic. It makes me want to go somewhere else to get an oil change. When I'm ready to buy a new car, I will go to a dealership and talk to a salesman personally. more
