My wife and I were relocating to Houston from NYC and looking to rent for a year before purchasing a home, and were referred to Richard based on his excellent reputation. Richard went out of his way to help preview homes before we arrived in Houston, and upon arrival we found the perfect townhouse within 2 days. We're so happy Richard was our realtor because he was able to interpert our wants very quickly, show us homes within our budget, explain the neighborhoods in detail, and closed the deal quickly. I had a negative experience with my previous agent and he totally found me a home in two months. I did not feel like I was alone in the home search. He took my criteria and showed me examples that were so exactly what I wanted in a home. I looked inside the loop only. He knew some interesting facts about specific neighborhoods. Realtor Richard Buentello with Boulevard Realty formerly known as Karen Derr & Associates is my real estate choice without a doubt. I am in the insurance business and know and work with many Realtors so I always have a big pool of Realtors to choose from. Since my wife was familiar with him, I thought I would give him a call to sell our house. Richard came in and gave us input on what to get rid of to make it show better and even provided paint contractors to spruce it up to show better. It worked! Even before the work was complete he had potential buyers through the door and even a gave me a good solid contract by a well-qualified buyer. His marketing plan is excellent for both buyers and sellers, and it works! He did open houses every weekend unless we asked him not to. In the end, we decided it might be better lease our house. The same day Richard put it on the market for lease we had three contracts. Unbelievable! Obviously, we accepted! He proved he could either sell or lease our property, or any property for that matter. I was a first time buyer, new to the Houston area, with very little knowledge about the home buying process. Added the that, I needed to find a place pretty quickly. Richard was fantastic! He always made time for me, took me to see as many places as I wanted to see, and answered all of my questions. I appreciated the fact that he gave me his honest opinion about a particular street or area or the quality and value of each home I was considering. He also helped me see the potential in places I had written off too quickly. When offers did not work out, he remained positive and kept my spirits high! Richard Buentello is a very patient, understanding of a buyers needs and listens to every detail. This home we bought was our first home. We were kind of scared of what we were getting into but Richard sat down and explained everything to us. We live in the East side of Houston. It is four exits from downtown.
