Exceptionally Romantic 2/27/2011

Spent a very romantic evening celebrating our anniversary. The view was terrific and the revolving feature was really cool. The best seat is not by the window but in one of the elevated booths where you can snuggle with your sweetie while facing the windows.\r \r We split a crabcake appetizer and the small prime rib. The crabcakes were delicious. The prime rib was slightly overdone so if you like it medium well, order medium. We had more than enough food for the two of us and the less than perfectly prepared prime rib did not spoil the evening in the least.\r \r The service was good - not intrusive - and respected our desire to linger and savor the view before and after we ate.\r \r We bought a Groupon ($25 for $50 in food and drink) which made the evening a great value.\r \r And in response to those who complained that the menu was not kid friendly - this is not a restaurant where you should bring children. This is a romantic, adult restaurant and the menu reflects the clientele the management wishes to attract. We will definitely return to celebrate a special occasion. more

Really romantic 2/15/2011

My husband took me to the Riverview 360 for our first date. It was really romantic and the food was delicious. I'd go back in a heartbeat. more

Big Surprise!!!!! 5/24/2010

My daughter and grandsons wanted to go somewhere nice for my daughter's birthday. They chose the 360. I wanted to go somewhere else. That would have been a mistake . What a wonderful evening!! The gentleman who seated us gave my grandsons a brief history. The waitress( Connie) was very helpful in our selections. The food was delicious! We had steak, chicken, porkchops, and the youngest grandson had a cheeseburger. It was all wonderful. Thank you for a nice evening !! Oh, I forgot about the delicious crabcakes. They could have been a meal. Pros: 360 was a complete delight Cons: A lighter dessert for children -light sorbert, ice cream more

Horrible food, Beautiful view. 3/30/2010

My husband and I were staying at the Raddisson Hotel for one night for our monthly ""date night"". We had just had a wonderful evening hanging out in Main Strauss village that is within walking distance of the hotel/restaurant. We had stopped by Kelly's Pub (which is located by the lobby of the hotel.) we asked where a good place to eat was and the gentlemen behind the bar suggested the 360. I told him that I wasn't interested because I had read reviews on citysearch that said it wasn't very good. He then told me he was the general manager of the 360 and guaranteed that we would enjoy it. My husband really wanted to try it out so up we went to the top of the hotel to eat at the 360. I am sooooo sorry that we did. We got seated pretty quickly but then the waitress took forever to come over to our table. The menu was pretty limited so we ordered coconut shrimp for appetizers and I got a rasberry/chicken dish, my husband ordered salmon. The waitress came back a little while later and told us that they were out of the side dish we had ordered (potatoes) and would have to pick something else. Right after that, she turned around and told the table behind us that they kind of steak they had ordered they were out of. Long story short the food was horrible!! We each only had maybe 2 to 3 bites. It was waaaay over priced. We went back to our room vowing to follow the reviews on citysearch from then on. Don't waste your time and money on this place. Pros: Beautiful view Cons: Food more

Great Food, Terrible Service -- Not Worth it. 11/16/2009

We arrived at 6pm on a Sat. night, and granted we were part of a huge party of 16 people that had reservations. They divided us into 2 tables of 8-10 people per table. We had different servers, and for some reason were unable to seperate checks for each individual and couple. I can understand it taking some time to get everything going with such a huge party, however, it was literally 30-35 mins. before we ever even saw our server -- and she only took app. orders...no drinks. About 20 mins. after that, she finally came for drink orders. Another 10-15 mins. after that, and well over an hour into our dining experience we finally got to place our entree orders. Another hour later our food began to arrive. I understand delays in orders arriving for a large party -- it's the lack of service prior to the ordering that is the huge mystery.\r \r Then, the kicker. Because we wanted our checks divided instead of trying to coordinate payments from 8-10 different people, they apparently put everyone on 1 bill, and only under 1 server. After almost an additional hour of waiting for our check(s), one person from the group had to literally write down what everyone had and then divide the check(s) for the server. We then received a bill and got the cash around w/ tip for payment. 10 minutes after that, we got another bill -- this one with an included 20% gratuity. I'm sorry, but when service is that ridiculous, you're not going to get 20%...so, most parties wound up paying an additional $10+ just in gratuity.\r \r Long story, short...if you have more than 2 people, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Apparently our server knew the 20% gratuity would be included, so she just didn't care what kind of service she provided...and it was very clear. We literally saw our server 4 times in 3+ hours of dining. And, sadly, 2 of those times were after we were finished eating. People who wanted refills and drinks had to go to the bar. Just sad. Pros: Awesome steak and great view. Cons: Service was very slow and completely unattentive more

Great experience! 6/12/2008

The food at the Riverview was wonderful, our server couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, and the vew was magnificent. more

romantic setting 8/20/2007

Love the character of this restaurant. The food was good, the service was timely. And their Sunday brunch is fantastic. If you only want to relax, go there and have a glass wine while sitting on a comfy lounge and just watch the city lights at night. Pros: thumbs up more

Great View / Horrible Service / Below Average Food 8/9/2007

We went to the restaurant for a birthday dinner in hopes of having a great view and great food.\r \r Upon arrival, the place was virtually empty. The seats were stained, the table cloth was stained and had a burn hole, the napkins were stained. I even tried switching napkins but couldn't find one without stains.\r \r The menu was limited and consisted of steaks, two different chicken dishes and two different fish dishes. NO choices were offered for kids so don't taken them unless they like adult food. We ordered our food which came in average time. However, we had to continually flag down the waitress and ask for refills of water and other drinks. Not one time did she come on her own accord. Once our food came, the steaks were good but the other entrees were below average for the price. Ten minutes into the meal, the waitress brought over a canister OFF OF ANOTHER TABLE of completed scrapped out butter and sour cream that had a spoon and bits of potato in it for us to use. Then she dumped a half a picture of pop on our table and didn't even clean it up or offer us anything to clean it up. We had NO alcoholic drinks, NO appetizers and NO dessert and the bill, with a forced gratuity, was $225. Don't waste your money. Although it has a great view, there are many other restaurants with a great view that also offers great service and food as well.\r \r TWO THUMBS DOWN! Pros: VIEW Cons: SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD FOR PRICE more

great experience 7/19/2007

I loved it. After reading the reviews below, i was shocked. I went last weekend. The service was great, the food was great. The only thing that wasnt great, was my date. The steak was to die for. The prices were not bad at all. I recommend it, and im a pretty picky, high maintanence woman! Pros: sevice Cons: didnt turn fast enough?? more

Do not waste your money for the view 7/11/2007

Worst experience and waste of money. Service was poor waited 20 min. at start of dinner shift. Bar had no working blender. I wrote an email they did not even respond to the service complaint. Go to Jeff Rubys or any place do not waste your money for the view. Food had limited selection and was not hot when served and did not taste that good.\r \r Do not waste your money\r Cons: bar did not even have a working blender in the whole hotel, plus little kids not very romantic or quite more

Food Under Par 9/14/2005

The Radisson hotel staff said their hotel is known for its revolving restaurant on top. So, we dined there on their recommendation. Entrees at dinner run $20-$30. My New York strip was delicious. The bread basket was good. But the ""classic risotta"" came in a large ice cream style scoop and was a ball of flavorless starch. The sauteed mushrooms were poached in a salty, otherwise flavorless broth. They were sauteed. Salad, etc. are extra. My child had chicken nuggets that are far better as McDonald's premium strips -- these were overfried, greasy, small, and mainly breading. The service was decent, but nothing special -- and that goes for the decor, too. The one thing recommending the restaurant is its slow revolution of a spectacular city view of the Cinci skyline. Pros: view Cons: food more

not what is was 10/25/2002

as a child my parent and grandparents stook me to riverview for birthdays and specil events. it was a big deal and the food was delicious. All i can say today is Yuck! I took my fiance there to share a bit of my childhood. Boy were we disappointed - service awful, food barely warm and lousy at best. Waitress very distracted and were was the harp that i remember so well from my youth. Broken harted to say the least! View never changes though - breathtaking! Go have a drink see the skyline and then hit a real resturant. more

Very Romantical 8/15/2002

It revolves, and has the best view around. See the sweeping view of Downtown and the river. more

Disappointing 8/5/2002

If you select this restaurant based on the view rather than the food, you can't go wrong. After confirming the res. for our folks' 50th annversary TWICE, the requested champagne was still not waiting at our table. No harpist as advertised. Food was average, at best--you definitely pay for the view. Service was friendly but could've been more professional. I guess I was disappointed--I should've paid closer attention to the reviews. Pros: View, Friendly Cons: Value, Food Quality more
