Eric and his employees have done an amazing job, from beginning to end. I initially reached out to Residential Heating & Cooling over the Memorial Day weekend, by emailing them through their website. One of Eric's employees replied to me the next day. Which happened to be a National Holiday!! Unheard of!
Eric put in so much time and effort to trouble shoot exactly what the issues were in my condo, and he gave me several different options as far as what could be done to either repair or replace the equiptment that I currently have. F.Y.I.- I had 5 other contractors in my home (5 different companies, within 3 months) and I could not get a reasonable explanation as to WHY I was having the issues that I was. I was frustrated and skeptical that I would ever get this fixed. I would also like to add that not one of the 5 previous contractor's assessments or diagnosises had any similarities as far as what needs to be done. Each tech gave a different diagnosis. Even more frustrating!
Just when I was about to accept the fact that my family and I would most likely have no other option but to freeze each winter and sweat bullets all summer, I stumbled across Residential Heating and Cooling on Yelp. All 5 star reviews?? Amazing!!! And I even scrolled to the bottom where it says 'Reviews not currently recommended' and guess what??? More 5 star reviews. Every thing that I read was written by extremely happy, satisfied customers. My 1st thought was "How is this even possible to have a 100% satisfaction rate among customers?"
Now, looking back...I admit that it was obviously my skepticism telling me that Residential Heating & Cooling was probably too good to be true. Holy Cow, did Eric and his team prove me wrong! I got 5 Star service and treatment throughout the entire diagnostic and repair process. Eric answered all of my questions and explained things in terms that a non-hvac repairperson such as myself, would understand. He even drew a diagram for me =)
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Eric and his team. But I will say this: 3 of the 5 "other" HVAC companies ((the ones that failed to diagnose what the issues are/were)) are HUGE companies that primarily repair Industrial & Commercial equiptment, and Residential repairs are secondary.Just so you know, a higher-up at 1 of the 5 "other" companies that "assessed" my ventilation issues in May 2015, called me on Friday May 22nd and told me bluntly "We are a 45 Million dollar company. We don't need this job". This "Big HVAC Company" (which shall remain unnamed) was very abrupt with me. They didnt explain anything. They really made it a point to make me understand that they are used to getting big contracts. that pay big money. After this "other" big company in Arlington Heights IL. gave me a written proposal and estimate, the general manager called me and said that he was withdrawing their bid/proposal because they are a 45 Million Dollar company and they DON'T need this little job. Aside from me being confused and shocked by the withdrawal of the "other" company's bid, I was also panicking because immediate repairs were needed! A few days after I received the written estimate /proposal from Mr.Higher-Up (at the "other" company) I woke up to water leakage. Mr.Higher Up calmly explained that the repairs that I needed were not worth his time. My heart sank as I tried to process what he had just said.
I immediately began searching dozens of other HVAC companies in the Schaumburg area, Residential Heating & Cooling's profile and the reviews on Yelp shined like a Beacon of Light and Hope, as I was drowning in a Sea of HVAC Repair-Despair.
Eric personally completed the 1st stage of the repairs. And all i've got to say is that he went above and beyond the call of duty. I will ABSOLUTELY recommend him to all of my family, friends and neighbors. Eric is an owner who goes out of his way to make sure that his customers are happy and satisfied. His pricing is honest & fair. It makes me SO happy that a company like this exists. It's amazing that Residential Heating & Cooling cares SO much about the "little guys". And by little guys, I mean the rest of us homeowners that DON'T need (nor can we afford,LOL) a $10,000 Repair. Thanks, Eric, for servicing your customers who own a modest condo or home, and not only factories or 100 story high rise hotels. Thank You, Eric, for valuing ALL of your customers & meeting our needs. Your customers obviously matter a lot to you, and not just the customers who have bigger (more expensive) jobs for your business. I'm giving this family owned and operated business 2 Thumbs Up and a great big "THANKS A MILLION, FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!"
