While on a work assignment on the east coast, we found out via a call from the water company, that we had a water leak at our house in Hillsboro. It was a Friday night and I called the plumber that was recommended by the water company. When they could not come out until the following week, I got on line and found Rescue Rooter / Lack Howk who stated they had emergency service. Larry Peters was the plumber that showed up at the house within an hour of my call. My neighbor was able to meet him and let him into the house. Larry inspected all the plumbing in the house and could not find anything. From there he went into the crawl space and could not find anything there so he traced the leak to the exterior line from the meter to the house. Staying in touch with me constantly, he was able to get me a bid and contract documents that night. He lined up his machine operator Gil to be in Monday morning, emergency locates for Monday morning and told me he would have it completed by end of day Monday. This was the 22nd of December.... Christmas week. Not only did he get it done on time but was able to get it inspected and signed off by Tuesday. Larry told me, at the time of the quote, that he would do everything he could to minimized the cost and the damage to the landscaping and irrigation system. Once complete, he was able to do just that. He did not have to do a portion of the work that was in the bid and he credited me that cost back, just as he said he would. He did a great job putting the landscaping back to as close to normal as possible and he ensured the irrigation system was left as it was found. He attention to detail and constant communication with me was beyond anything I could have expected. From a homeowner trying to handle this emergency from 3,500 miles away, on a Friday going into Christmas week, all I can say is THANK YOU Larry and Gil. Not only would I recommend them to anyone, but they will my first call for any plumbing issue I have in the future. Do yourself a favor, don't look anywhere else.
