Hardworking and accomadating staff 9/21/2011

I've had a completely great experience. Anna seems to be one of the hardest working owners of a spa. Her staff are extremely sweet and polite. They are extremely accommodating. This massage was the best massage i've had. I just finished a 5k the day before and I felt her relieve the soreness in my bones. The atmosphere is so soothing and relaxing. more

I have been a regular costumer of Renu for years. I find it relaxing and inviting just walking in. I have had a variety of services and have always been a satisfied customer. Since I'm not a "regular" spa goer, meaning getting services every week, it's always a treat and a special occasion at Renu for me. more

Owner With Serious Customer Service Issues 3/8/2010

BBB Complaint. ZERO STARS FOR THIS SPA I had an appointment for 12:30 on 01-02-10 for a pedicure at this spa and I admit I was 15 minutes late. Upon entering and speaking to the front desk girl, I was told I could not have my service I had scheduled. They offered to paint and shape the nails. There was no explanation as to why I could not get the service, I still had 45 minutes left on my appointment. I explained that I needed a full pedicure and a shape and painting was not acceptable for me. The girl continued by saying " Well, we can't it's your fault, you are late." No one offered another time, day or alternative. I told them that I was going to leave, turned around to walk out and the girl followed me and started yelling at me and continued to tell me that "it was my fault and I was late" to which I turned around and told the girl not to follow me. At this point, I was so shocked at her pursuit of me that I asked for the owners name and number. This upset the girl even more and she began to chastise me in front of other clients on my tardiness. I had to ask another girl for the information, because the girl would not stop telling me it was my fault. Once I spoke to the owner's son after leaving, I was informed that the owner was actually sitting behind the counter and witnessed the incident. At no time did she get involved, not even when I was asking for the owner's name. This I find to be even more offensive, that the owner would not stop her employee from harassing me and trailing behind me. I have $180.00 in certificates and I told the owner I wanted a refund on the certificates. I was told that would not happen. I was also told I was not going to be charged a late charge as compensation for the incident. This is appalling. The owner responded (Anna Pamula) to my complaint on the BBB website today calling me a slave driver and that I'm an example of how horrible humans can be. She also said that I was terrorizing her business by complaining to the BBB. This woman is obviously not mentally sound. I’m still trying to get a refund for my gift cards, I will NEVER step foot in that salon for a service again. more

Stole Money From Me 7/16/2009

I purchased a package for my wife as a gift that was to include a mani-pedi. While she was there they told her that they couldn't fit in the mani-pedi and that she could come back at a later date and they'll take care of her. When she called back she was told that there was no money left on her card and that they wouldn't honor their word. She tried to reason with them by explaining that she was told to come back for the mani-pedi, but they kept talking in circles. Since I purchased the gift for her I felt responsible and called myself, but got the same response. I finally spoke to the owner, Anna, who told me that I can pay them $57.50 and then they would "take care" of the mani-pedi...so they wanted me to pay for the service that I already paid for and they'll be nice enough to what, give me what I paid for? G, thanks. When I took issue with that ridiculous offer Anna stopped me and asked, "Is your wife a minor or something? Why does she have to run to her husband to fight her battles? We are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan for women's rights and it's a shame that she can't take care of herself and she has to hide behind her husband." Wow! Really? Not a business that I want to deal with ever again. That being said, my wife did enjoy the part of the package that she did receive, but the fact that they stole from us left a sour taste in our mouth. Pros: Good service if you get it Cons: Don't live up to their word and insult you more
