Reni's Bridal Boutique

This store is small and has been there for 25 years. I can see why now that I have been there. They had more dresses than any store I had been to. Fabulous selection of just about anything you could want. Every dress looked brand new even though I am sure some of them had been tried on, just like I was doing, but the owner was very particular that every gown be taken care of. She said each and every one of them would one day belong to someone and they had to be perfect. They were busy and she told us that this was actually a slower time of year for bridal sales. An appointment is needed on some of their busier days. I was so impressed with the quality, the prices, the bridal consultants, etc. My consultant, the owner's daughter I later found out, was very knowledgeable, polite and concerned about me having exactly what I wanted. At other stores, I felt like they wanted me to have what they wanted. I did not feel this way at Reni's. Go there, you will probably be very pleased. I have shopped around and their prices are very fair and better than most. They will price match any confirmed price on a gown at any other store, however, their prices were already better than anyplace else I had been so this probably doesn't come up much. I saw one dress in KC and they were $220 less for the exact same dress, same designer. Worth the trip in my opinion. They are always busy and now I know why! I made an appointment to visit this store on a Saturday at 11am. I had talked to Reni before at a bridal show and she was very personable and friendly and told us much about her life in Germany, where she is from, and her family. Went to this store last Friday again. Had been there once before and lady that helped me was a little odd and standoffish and she didn't work there any more this time. Lucky for the store and their customers in my opinion. What a great store. I got on line and read many reviews. I noticed that the reviews that made sense and were from brides planning their weddings were all extremely complimentary. The only complaints were from brides who were two days before their wedding looking for a veil... what were they waiting on and they took out their stress about their wedding being two days away in an insult to a store they really didn't spend time in at all. One complaint was about not being able to take a picture and I was trying to find out why they wanted to take a picture when all they complained about was the dresses were horrible...why did they want a picture of it then.... because they found one they loved is all I can guess. One complaint was about manufacturers tags not being in the dress. I have been to about 12 stores in three different states and 90% of the dresses didn't have tags in them at any store. One store owner told me that a lot of dresses don't have tags in them and some do. Why do you need to know who makes it if you love it? I guess some people are still hung up on names and who makes what. This Reni's Bridal is a fun store, beautiful dresses and the owner said she had over 950 dresses in the store, even though I only tried on 10 or so! Don't miss this store, great quality, great service, great advice, huge selection and I received an email from them with a picture of me in the dress I ordered. I can't imagine anyone would come into this store and not love it and find the perfect dress. They are really busy on Saturdays and I suggest going any other day. You will love your experience at Reni's. Reni was easy going and when I decided on a dress, she suggested I think about it... not the least bit pushy. I bought it, I love it. I read all the reviews and then went to this store myself. Fabulous! Their selection is what I expected to find in a much larger city. The staff was helpful and listened to everything I said. The quality of the gowns was outstanding. I had several favorites and couldn't decide between two gowns and had to go back again another day. I did also ask about pictures, however, I did understand that after they spend a couple of hours with you (I took a long time), they really would like you to buy your gown there. I work in real estate and I am sure that after I spend a day with someone showing them a house, I wouldn't want them to have someone else finalize their sale. I did like one gown with no tag in it, I asked nicely, and they went and found out who it was designed by. I also did notice that some gowns had tags in them and some didn't. I don't think they were cut out as there was no place where anything was cut out, I looked. The owner told me that not every designer sews big manufacturing tags in their gowns as most women cut them out for comfort, in case they itch or such. Sounds pretty logical to me. Ladies stay away from this shop! I had read about places that ripped out tags and wouldnt tell tell you the designer but I didn think they existed. Well let me tell you they do and we have one right here in Wichita: Renis Bridals! The dresses that I could identify readily like Maggie Sottero (older styles) they wouldnt confirm until I put a deposit down. Other dresses were so poorly constructed they didnt have ANY weight to them whatsover. I dont know if they were knock offs or just very CHEAP dresses as the tags had been removed. On top of that they wouldnt let you take any pictures! I 've tried dresses on in 4 states and this is the WORST shop I've been to. The owner seemed interested in helping me find the gown I wanted but their quality and ethics had me ready to leave after I had tried on the 4th dress. I would not recommend this store to anyone unless you need a dress right away and dont really mind cheap quality. I spent two weeks going to bridal stores in and around Wichita and I even went to Kansas City. This store had the biggest selection, the best quality gowsn, my consultant was knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted and didn't show me gowns completely opposite from what I described. I was shocked that the dress I fell in love with was very reasonably priced, in my opinion and my mom's. I found out the store has been there for years and the owner, while loud and a little too talkative, operates a great business and I feel like I can trust her completely. I'm so excited about my gown! Pros: Great selection of gowns and bridesmaids, friendly and helpful Cons: None I can think of! more

Beautiful designer only gowns. They carry no knockoffs or cheap copies. Fantastic quality and the nicest, most helpful consultants I have met anywhere. I was told by a friend that the store has been in business for 25 years mostly to do with owner and her daughter and their combined knowledge and ability to work with the public. I know brides are emotional and often come into there with a chip on their shoulder if they have been at a discount bridal store and received bad treatment. This store was amazing, helpful, kind and the customer service is great. They offer alterations and press your gown for your wedding day. I barely had to do anything other than pick my dream gown... which wasn't easy with their huge selection of beautiful and unique gowns. The gowns were of fine quality and felt so nice on. I asked about a certain gown I had seen in Brides magazine and they had it! I loved everything about this store. Pros: Friendly, Great selection, Knowledgeable more

Rude what more can you say!!! it was 2 days before my wedding and I still hadn't found my veil! I went there looking for one and they were soooooo rude I guess you had to buy your dress there (AND I AM SO GLAD I DIDNT DO THAT) for any respect or customer service! While I was there a bride left almost in tears cause Reni talked her mom into a dress that the Bride didnt even like!! she is veary pushy and rude! I would never go there again I am currently helping my sister in law look for her dress and I wont even stear her or any other Bride there! more

I went to several bridal stores looking for the perfect gown. When I got to Reni's Bridal, I was starting to think I wouldn't find the "one". At Reni's, I found several beautiful gowns that I couldn't decide between...what a dilemma. I finally picked the perfect one and couldn't be happier. They have everything for the bride...gown, bridesmaids, jewelry, shoes, etc. My mom even found a gorgeous dress and she had been all over Kansas City and Dallas looking for one! It was a wonderful experence and I recommend them to anyone looking for their perfect day to be perfect. PROS: Extremely helpful and great customer service! CONS: No way! more

I traveled from Tulsa, OK because this bridal store was the only boutique within driving distance that had the bridal gown that I wanted to buy. I was prepared to buy the dress that day. Reni, however, was suspect of my purpose and treated me horribly because she assumed that I had only come to see the dress, not to purchase. She thought that I would buy from a more local boutique. Well, I will now. I was neglected as a customer, and talked down to. The other ladies in the store had good customer service, but they could not make up for Reni. I have now ordered the dress locally; I was treated well, and it was less expensive! more

Reni's is an excellent bridal shop. It's a fairly small store, but they have an excellent selection and seem to be extremely familiar with their inventory. I found a beautiful gown that was both long enough for me (I'm 6' tall) and that cost less than I had anticipated. The staff members, including Reni, are all friendly and helpful. Without a doubt, Reni's was the best bridal shop that I visited in Wichita. PROS: Local business, friendly staff, great selection CONS: A little out-of-the way for east-siders, but well worth the drive! more
