Best

Westside is thrilled each time Redstone's asks them to perform. Pros: They Have Great Bands Every Wednesday Cons: They only have live music on Wednesday

enough whining about the wait! 7/25/2003

The hour wait is nothing compared to the 2.5 hour wait it was when Redstone opened. It goes to show that in spite of the wait, Redstone is good enough that people continue to eat there. You have to know who is dining to avoid the wait: its the western-suburb Yuppie crowd. So go before 7:00 for dinner or after 12:00 for lunch. Go to Sunsets, Champps, Maynard's or any of the other summer hot spots and you'll encounter a similar wait. I agree, they should take reservations (which they do during the Holiday season), but you can call ahead to check the wait. The fish is incredible, as are the specials. The servers are excellent and can help you navigate the menu like a pro. So buck up and enjoy Restone or hop over to Ridgedale for a B.K. Whopper if it is speed you seek. Pros: excellent menu, relatively smoke-free, Free valet-parking Cons: a little pricey more

simply the best 11/15/2002

I can't say enough about this restaurant, the service, food and atmosphere was absaloutly perfect. One of the best resaurants I have ever been to. I give it a 10 and would highly recomend attending this fine establishment. Pros: food, employees, atmospher Cons: crowded more

Try the specials 11/4/2002

My wife and I were fortunate enough to get a table outside by the fire pit and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of the year. We both ordered specials that were excellent. The service was very good as well. However, we had dined at Redstone before and endured a two-hour wait the first time. They estimated about fifty minutes. Service was mediocre that evening and we had sticker shock over the steak prices. Our second experience was more pleasant on a Sunday afternoon before getting busy. I agree with many of the complaints about this restaurant. The parking situation is terrible, they should take reservations or at least have a reasonable feel for how long the wait is. Suggestions: Try the specials and fish entrees. Pros: Good food Cons: Long wait times, noisy more

Why bother 10/8/2002

I dined here once. That was enough. Was told wait would be 45 minutes - turned out to be one hour and fifteen minutes. Service was atrocious, once seated. Steak was over-priced. Have had much higher quality meals for one third of the price. Their signature mashed potatos were cold. Why do restaurants refuse to take reservations - so the GREEDY owners can sell a lot of drinks in the bar - at a higher markup than their food. The public should catch on and avoid all McTrendy restaurants like Redstone. If you have too much money, too much time on your hands and don't have any appreciation of fine food - your table might be ready in an hour. Pros: outdoor fireplace, cold beer Cons: cold, tasteless food, poor value, bad service more

best Ribs and Martini's 9/19/2002

Definately the Best Ribs in town. Ask for the extra side of sauce, its great, just the right mix of hot and zesty. Another favorite is the combo Chicken and Ribs. I usually get the flatbread pizza (dinner) as an apetizer. The bar is high priced - but fair compared to the equalivent of the downtown spots. The Martini's are great, and all the drinks are poured directly into the glass. The bartender told me they are tested every day so as the drinks always come out the same. finally, overall, hotest women in the burbs. Pros: ribs, martinis, hot women Cons: hour wait for table more

worth the wait 9/18/2002

While the wait on some nights is long, the meal always proves to be worth it. The servings are perfect without feeling stuffed. The food is fabulous and no one presents desserts the way they do at Redstone. I also love the cozy feeling, especially in the Fall/Winter more

Pricy, but worth it 9/4/2002

After several visits, the only things that would keep me away in the future are the long waits for a table, and the selection. The food is all prepared with an eye toward detail, is delicious, and is served professionally. Depending on your server, you may feel a bit pressured to leave as soon as your meal is complete. This is less true here than at the Eden Prairie location. Pros: Great Food, Trendy Atmosphere, Professional Staff Cons: Long Wait, "throughput Pressure", Limited Selection more

Excellent! 9/3/2002

Always consistant! Haven't had a bad meal yet! Order the corn bread w/ maple butter - it's heavenly. Great service and food. Pros: Good Value Cons: Wait more

What a joke! 8/24/2002

This place is living proof that we as consumers don't care about quality and value. While I understand it attracts a certain niche of people who just want to be where all the other pretty people are, I don't understand why anyone would wait or go back for this type of experience. It was terrible! Pros: trendy Cons: trendy, expensive, lousy food more

Excellent 8/16/2002

This is an awesome place for lunch... totally relaxing. The food is really enjoyable and the desserts are unbelievable. more

Snobby golfer people hangout 8/14/2002

Yes I agree - the food is absolutely outstanding. The swordfish and the Ahi are probably one of the finest Minnesota has to offer. There's however one major problem with this place - the people. Go here if you a) just climbed out of the golf cart w/o getting kinks in your polo shirt b) have enough gold hanging on your body that you would drown when falling into golf ponds c) want a really spendy place where you can hang with your friends to show them how wealthy you are and how that Rolex looks looks on you d) Love Valet Parking, especially if the restaurants own parking lot is blocked off for it and you have to walk 1/2 mile if you do not want to pay for it. e) Have no idea about beer and love fake friendliness Pros: Great food, Good service, Seating takes forever Cons: People, Faked friendliness more

Bloody Marvelous 8/7/2002

Great food and excellent service.Management superb.Great hostesses and food to die for. Pros: good food, good service, good ambiance more

I love the Redstone! The new location in Eden Prairie is unbelievable! The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, & the staff is always on top of things! It may run a little pricey for some, but if you want to go out for a nice dinner, this is the place to be, or if you're looking for somewhere to chill & a have a couple of cocktails w/ some friends, I recommend the Redstone! Two thumbs up! Pros: Great food, Awesome staff, Great locations Cons: People finding out more

Restone - Eden Prairie 8/1/2002

I want to comment on the new Redstone in Eden Prairie. I travel to Minneapolis often, have been there several times and I've never been disappointed. The staff is both curteous and knowledgeable. Every time I dine there, at least one of the managers comes to speak to me and make sure everything is ok. The menu is extensive with a good wine list. I don't see how anyone doesn't think it's worth the money! It does get crowded during peak dining hours, but what good place doesn't? Also, the dancing on the weekends is not a thing to miss....even if just for the entertainment value! Pros: Friendly, Knowledable, Inexpensive more

pricy but big portions 7/30/2002

I have eaten at the Redstone Grill several times. Their food is fine, although I do agree that it is pricey. However, they do give you hefty portions and almost two meals for the money. We also went there when they lost their electricity, and although we had an hour and a half wait, the staff really worked hard and were very pleasant during the time we waited for our meal. more

Waitstaff or sales staff? 7/26/2002

I agree with the previous ratings about Redstone being over-priced and gregarious in their attempts to up-sell. I just got back from lunch there. For a co-worker and I to have soup and salad it was over $30. Even after we ordered, the waitress still went over the more expensive specials in detail. She was obviously disappointed with our ""less-expensive"" choices. I can't count how many times we were pushed to order cocktails (even after we told her we were both working today). The caesar was bland but okay. The shrimp/corn chowder was better (thick like a stew). When we were finished, of course we were offered dessert and coffee multiple times. Wouldn't want to miss out on a chance to increase our bill! Food is alright, but instead of a warm feeling, it's like the restaurant version of a clothing store with commission salespeople. You get the hard sell. more
