After waiting for an hour, I finally got to speak to someone at Arlington Red Top Cap who informed me that no cab was even on the way - no driver accepted the call. No, they can't tell me that a cab will ever be here. No, when they told me 15-20 minutes they were just guessing - it wasn't a promise or even an informed guesstimate. That's just what they say to everyone, every time. Friday night - gone - thanks to Arlington Red Top Cab. They couldn't be bothered to send a cab, or call, or tell the truth in the first place. more

Good: Stop this taxi drivers from DC, let them pick up only by call.The you must pick up on time upon reservation,if driver is late more than 15 minute,deduct some% from the fare to compensate the passenger. Bad: Your price is good. but apply ABC "Always Be Curtsy!". Improvements: Coustomer services must follow the ABC policy. Don't forget coustomer are flash blood of your business, you can't get paid or grow your business with out them.Make them to come back again and again... more

Every time I go to the Harris Teeters at Pentagon City, I have had to take RedCab because I did not have a phone/number to call and they must have a deal with HT because they have a direct phone line there. So convenient. And yet, each time, I have met with surly drivers, one who chastised me for making him wait for 5 extra minutes and others who seem to take the long route to my home though I know the way since I've gone many times, then act as if I don't know what I am talking about when I question them. Oh and don't expect any help with bags - not that I expect them to carry anything just help me get the stuff out of the back of the vehicle. Old fashioned wishes. I suppose since I am a single woman, it is okay to be treated with little respect and lots of condescension! No more, I've given them enough second chances. I will try another company and HOPE for courteous drivers! Any suggestions? more

Red Top Cab is completely unreliable if you need a cab to pick you up at a certain time. Need to catch a flight? Need to make a Dr's appointment? Need to make a VIP meeting at your office?? Need a reliable ride anywhere that has to pick you up at an exact time??? You'd better walk, call a friend, or take mass transit before you call these idiots. They might show up 70% of the time - lulling you into the belief that they might be reliable. But when you really need them and you think everything will be fine because you reserved a cab pick up 24-48 hours in advance - they don't show up - and then the idiot in customer service can't do anything but send another cab - which might show up in 20 or 30 or 40 minutes - if at all - making you late. Red Top/Blue Top has a monopoly here in Arlington, Virginia and we the consumer have no recourse but to take it. Oh, one more thing - their commercials are hilarious - they are the exact opposite of what they portray on TV - False advertising at it's best. Do not give them your business! more

When I still lived in Arlington, I used Red Top (pretty much exclusively) for all of my taxi needs. For both business and personal trips. I can't recall a single bad experience I've had with them. The drivers are normally super-nice and always willing to go out of their way. If you're not using cash, be sure to specify that you need a cab with a credit card reader. more

Last time I called Red Top it took them over 40-minutes to pick us up. I have no problem waiting but we were told someone would arrive in 10-15-minutes. We ended up calling 2-3 times for updates and the person from Red Top was very rude to us. This was my only bad experience with this company but it was a negative experience. more

Red Top Cab is as standard run of mill Cab Company in the area. Most of my experiences have been positive. When I call for a cab they usually arrive in the amount of time the dispatcher tells me. The cabs are usually clean and drivers know what they are doing. They have never tried to sell me a bill of goods for a trip from Arlington to DC. more

Red top cab is a service based in Arlington. They’re pretty convenient and generally come rather quickly. I’ve never had any problems with them-- the drivers were safe and courteous. I only wish they wouldn’t run on the meter but switch to the zone system instead! That’s for another day, another post… more

I think that the cab service was pretty good, The cab drive knew alot of about the places where he needed to go, I know my way around and as I could tell he drove the same way that I would have driven if I drove my car. So I find that some of the drivers are honest and will drive you straight to the place you need to go to without taking detours, but off course there are the ones that find out that you are out of town and drive you around in a circle.. But mostly they are good =) Just say that your broke down and getting it fixed. more

Red Top is your typical cab service. It's got a name and number that's easy to remember, which is why I tend to use them whenever I need a cab. Their cars are in fairly good condition, but are definitely older and in used condition. The drivers are reliable and will show up on time. Their service is 24-hours, so when you're in need of a ride, you can always call them up. You may have to wait up to 30 minutes for a cab though, so plan ahead and make the reservation beforehand. more
