I really enjoy the feel here. It's old, yes. But it's charming. The old beach touch makes me feel like vacation as a child. I love their house salad dressing, get a baked potato because it comes with a little selection of toppings to make your potato ""loaded"" amazing. I really also loved the blackened snapper. The butter sauce is a bit too much so I get it on the side. Very good. I live at the beach and if I'm craving fish, this is where we go. more

The service from start to finish was terrific. We were greeted immediately, sat immediately, and waited on by a very attentive waitress. Even other diners were extremely friendly. It was just a very welcoming environment. more

The best gift my husband and I received last Christmas was a gift certificate to The Red Snapper restaurant in Surfside tx! The service from Josh and our waitress Woody was exceptional! The owner and chef, Lin, greeted and made us feel welcome. The most amazing part was the food! My husband had ""Red Snapper New Orleans"" and I had ""Red Snapper a la greche"". We rated both meals as possibly the best seafood we have had. This was a great finally to a wonderful week! more

My girlfriends and I make it a point to come here during our Girls weekend trip. The staff is great the food is very good. Great atmosphere! It's walking distance from the hotel. more

We stopped on a whim as we were camping at the Quintana Beach County Park and what a surprise. Our surfer was excellent and all the food was fresh and expertly prepared. We would recommend the Red Snapper to anyone any time. more

We went on a spring getaway for a few days in March. Our hotel on the beach was just steps away from the Red Snapper Inn, so we gave it a try. it was truly fantastic from top to bottom, The blackened red snapper and the scallops are awesome dishes, totally fresh and prepared perfectly. Get the asparagus appetizer as well, it is great. We liked it so much, we went 2 nights in a row. You can't go wrong with any of the seafood dishes, from the gulf straight to your plate. Great place, highly recommended. more

Unpretentious dining, well cooked fresh seafood (and a nice variety of menu choices, generous servings, not cheap but not expensive - appropriate pricing for the quality) served piping hot & delicious with friendly wait staff and management. more

My family goes here a lot. It is great food. The spaghetti and meatballs are amazing. So is the chicken fried steak. Can't beat the fried shrimp with homemade tartar sauce! It is BYOB, but they also serve beer and wine. more

I tried the seafood gumbo and it was really good. My entree was Snapper A LA Grecque. The fish was fresh and seasoned very well. My server was also friendly and helpful. I recommend this place if you're in the area. more

I had forgotten how good fresh shrimp can be, and my experience at Red Snapper Inn has pretty much ruined any chain seafood restaurant for me - which is normally my only choice. I don't remember what everyone in our party had, but everyone absolutely loved whatever it was they got. I had the fried crab finger appetizer, the deep fried jumbo shrimp, and the shrimp gumbo. All were excellent, and as I am sitting here right now writing this review, I am wishing I had another helping of each. By the way, this is not the type of shrimp you want to bastardize with any kind of cocktail or tartar sauce. It's very tasty just as it is. \r \r I liked the very simple ambiance of the place. The service was good. Frankly, none of this even mattered once we dug in. more
