This place was recommended by our trainer one time when his kennels were full - and we've been taking our dog Sasha here ever since. A great setup for the dogs, they get out in the yard, have some freedom to roam and get 'play time'. Kathy and the staff are so loving and caring towards our Sasha. Funny when we drop her off because she doesn't really want to be away from home, but she loves Kathy, so she runs to say hi, then runs back to me - cant decide which way to go. She willing runs in the back with her - the only place i really feel comfortable leaving her while we are away, and don't spend the time worrying. Pros: caring, reliable, wonderful setup more

My Auggie Doggy and Daphne have never been happier. I needed daycare for my dogs and I was going to interview another daycare service. I went for my first visit at the other place and noticed it was smelly and there were too many dogs for the caretakers to handle. I felt they would not get the attention they needed. I called my Vet for a recommendation and they gave me Kathy's number. They also said that the other daycare facility had some issues that did not set well with me. I decided to give Kathy's facility a try. My Auggie Doggy is a bit of a loner and he actually has doggy friends now. I have noticed that he does not chew on my pillows at home anymore. I think the stimulation at daycare has cured his chewing habit. Daphne is my baby dachshund. She has lots of friends at daycare. She is extememely social and has a boyfriend name Franklin who also is a Dachshund. Auggie and Daphne are exhausted by the time they get home. I have left my dogs at Kathy's for a long weekend as well and they just loved it. I feel that Kathy is truly a gift from God. She is so loving to my babies and I am so glad that I have found her. Our dogs love Rebel Run. They are just back home from a nine day stay. They pull to get inside and see Kathy and her family and don't look back as we leave! I just have to comment on what the two negative reviewers from last year wrote. Obviously they are the typical rude, spoiled people that unfortunately live in our area and think the world revolves around them. I have been taking my dogs to this kennel for years starting with the previous owners who sold the business to Kathy. You will not find a more caring family to take care of your pets. Kathy and her parents are just wonderful. I think it's great that they have loyalty to their long time customers and don't take in new ones at holidays. My dogs knock me over to get in there and I know that they are well loved during their stay. I think it's funny that the woman who had the golden who got an ear infection was so irate. If she knew anything about goldens, they seem to develop ear infections a lot. I know mine does and he won't die if he goes a few days without ear meds. Pros: Everything! more

We have never met people who care more about animals. Our dog dashes in to Rebel Run and doesn't even turn around to say goodbye - he is so happy to be there. Our dog means the world to us, and we couldn't imaging taking him any place else. Pros: Service, Friendly, Caring, Low Price more

I cannot say enough good things about Rebelrun kennels and the people who own and run it. I've been bring my german shepherd cross here for more than seven years and am continually amazed with their exceptional service and more so, the way they treat our dog like she is part of their family. We were referred by a few of our neighbors to Rebel Run a couple years back. The first time I called Kathy told me she loved ""weiner dogs"" so the excitement in her voice made me immediately comfortable with her. So we took our two dogs there for day care just to see if it worked out and of course it was amazing! So for a couple of years now Rebel Run has been a 2nd home for Daisy & Franklin. About 3 weeks ago my husband and I had to put Daisy down, she lost her fight to cancer. I called Kathy the next day to let her know we would bring Franklin in for doggie daycare. She was waiting outside for me that morning. She was just as upset as I was about the loss of our dear Daisy. They took great care of Franklin that day as I knew they would. When it came time to pick him up that night Kathy told me that I didn't need to pay. That it was great for him to be around ""his friends"" and of course the tears started again. I know these last few weeks could have been a real sad time for Franklin but with the help of everyone at Rebel Run he is silly self who want to play and give love. Just know these are genuine people who LOVE your dogs as much as you do....even if you think that is impossible. I just picked up Franklin a couple of hours ago as he has been going at least one day a week since he stays home alone...and the little guy is pooped! Thank GOD for Rebel Run!!! My husband and I have peace of mind when we are out of town....you can't put a price tag on that!! more

Just wanted to say that I LOVE this place and so do my dogs, Reggie and Bubba! They treat my dogs with such kindness and love that I can travel and not worry about them at all. I am very happy to praise the loving care that my dogs Gina and Hollie receive while they are at Rebel Run. Rebel Run is forty miles from our home but we don't mind the drive to assure that the girls are well cared for while we are away. The staff at Rebel Run are extremely competent and accommodating. Rebel Run took the girls on short notice during the time of a family emergency. Prior to finding Rebel Run we visited many kennels and were extremely disappointed with what we found. I feel very fortunate to have found a true home away from home for the girls. I have no doubt that Kathy, Margo and Tom treat our girls as if they were their own and would always act with our dogs' best interest in mind. The girls are always happy to see the Rebel \r Run staff when we drop them off at Rebel Run. I would not hesitate to recomend Rebel Run. Pros: Professional, Accomodating, and Caring! Rebel Run is by far the best place anyone could take their doggy. I have had a few places that I have tried and none have stood up to my expectations yet. I have been taking Rufus to Rebel Run for over 4 years and have never had an experience less than perfect. Miss Kathy, Margo and Tom are the best. Most places are unaccomodating and dirty. Their staff was just that - staff. At rebel run you see how important your dog is. Their pictures are all over the board. If you have ever been there at the same time as other clients, you would see all the dogs run to the back as fast as they can. Forget about us parents - they are at Rebel Run and they are going to have fun. When I pick up Rufus, he will run out to see that it's me and then he tries to run back into the yard. \r \r If you are looking for a second home for your dog when needed, look no further. Rebel Run is just that, your babies second home and they will be loved just as much as if at home. Pros: Clean and accomodating - great staff Cons: not a one more

No contest! Rebel Run is the best kennel to leave your most precious babies. I have been taking my dog to stay with Kathy, Margo and Tom for almost a year now and I have yet to come up with a complaint. The family is amazing and I am confident that when I leave Toby he is having the time of his life. Toby knows when were going because I ask him if he wants to go play with Kathy and he'll jump up and down and bark! He looooves Kathy. The second we turn onto Riverside Dr. Toby starts running around the car and once we park he can?t get out of the car fast enough. Whenever I pick him up he's asleep on my lap by the time we pull out of the driveway because he has had so much fun. Toby even has a girlfriend named ""Maggie"" at Rebel Run that he is head over heels for. It's just like a play group because the same people bring their dogs there so often. I would recommend Rebel Run to everyone! Pros: friendly, clean, informative, FUN! Cons: nothing! more

My girls go to Rebel Run everyday so that they may be loved and adored while my husband and I are at work. They are very SPOILED little girs and are given only the best, which is why they go there. They also spend some weekend time there whenever we need to leave them for more than an hour or two. This is the only place we will leave our girls and the only place my girls want to go. They know exactly where they are headed the moment we get in the car and they literely jump out of their car seat into my lap the moment we pull down the street in excitement. They are greeted every morning with kisses and hugs by Aunty Kathy, Aunty Margo or Uncle Tom. No they are not related to me, but they sure as heck should be for nothing more than they way they love my babies. I can go to work and not worry, I can go on vacation and know that there isn't another person on the face of this earth that will take care of them the way I would. I am always informed when one of my girls isn't feeling well. We have been going there for over two years now and I have recommended them to everyone. My entire family and all of my coworkers take their animals there. Rebel Run is like no other. The simple fact that they book out months in advance should tell you something about their business and the simple fact that new clients can't just stop by with their babies and drop off shows you their dedication to a happy, safe environment and isn't that really what you are looking for? My little girls are there now. I guarantee you they are having fun, being loved and adored and will come home exhausted. There is no other place they will ever be left. \r \r On a last note: I can tell you that when you meet Kathy, Margo or Tom, you will understand why clients do not for a minute believe that anyone would ever be treated rudly by anyone on that staff. We have been big fans of Rebel Run for several years now. Kathy, Margo, and Tom are some of the kindest people I've ever met, they treat our dogs like they are their own. As soon as we turn down their street my dogs start whining with excitement in the car because they know they get to hang out at their favorite place, Rebel Run. This summer I can honestly say Rebel Run saved the life of my 11 year old beagle Forrest. Kathy knows dogs well enough to sense there was something wrong with Forrest one night in July and she cared enough to insist that he goes to an animal hospital immediately when over the phone I suggested we just wait till morning and see how he seems. Tom took Forrest to the ER that night where it was determined he was very ill and needed to be taken to a critical care facility in Tustin. I couldn't believe the family that owns Rebel Run was doing whatever needed to be done for Forrest to get the best care possible while I frantically tried to get on the next plane home from Dallas. Tom drove Forrest to Tustin where the critical care doctors removed Forrest's gallbladder the next day and revived him back to good health after 7 days in the hospital. The doctors said that if Rebel Run hadn't gotten Forrest to the hospital as they did his gallbladder probably would have ruptured and he wouldn't have made it. Words cannot express how forever grateful I am for what they did for my Forrest. Since his liver was damaged from the gallbladder infection Forrest is on several medications morning and night now. The only people other than myself I trust to give him his meds---the right ones at the right times----are Kathy, Margo and Tom at Rebel Run. It is a blessing that dog lovers like them run a kennel and make it so affordable and accommodating to busy families like ours who want to know our pets are in good hands when we're away. I would highly recommend this kennel over any other in the Orange County area. Trust me, you won't find better! more

I read the review someone gave Rebel Run and I have been taking my dogs there for years they are the best they really love the animals. I have been going there for 4 years and I tried to get my dogs in 2 months ahead and they were booked which is a good thing I hate to leave my dogs Baby and Nanook anywhere else but when you are booked out that far in advance it just shows how loyal their customers are. I know when my boys are at Rebel Run they are in the best care you can get!!! I do not think anyone there would ever be rude to a client trust me try Rebel Run and you will not be let down trust me you will be bummed if you ever have to leave your dogs else where... I wanted to respond to the previous comment because I feel we have received a couple of unfair ratings. We are open everyday (including Sundays) from 8-1 and 3-6. I tell that to anyone that calls, it is also on our answering machine. We happen to be one of the only kennels that is open on Sundays. The 'nice woman' that spoke to her on the phone, and the 'woman that turned her away' were both the same person (because it was me). I wasn't rude to her I was just in a hurry because one of my clients needed to be a little late picking up her dogs, and my kitty is very sick and I needed to get to my vet to pick up medication before he left his office. I did explain this to her and also asked her if she could could back, which she said was fine because she lived close by. I was really surprised by the mean comments she made about us. I am giving us 5 stars, because I know my family and I run one of the best, most loving kennels around. Also I don't think it's a bad thing we don't take new clients for the holidays, it means we are doing something right! :-) Pros: Open everyday, very loving more

I'm actually very disappointed with this dog sitting service. I had called about a week ago interested in learning more about their services. I spoke to a very nice woman on the phone who explained their business and the excellent care they give to the animals at their facility. I was impressed and asked when I could come by and take a tour since I had a vacation scheduled for Sept. 20th and needed to find a good boarding facility for both my dogs. She said I come any time because they were open 7 days a week. I drove up this past Sunday and was turned away IMMEDIATELY from a different woman working there. She stated that they were closed (IT WAS 1:30PM IN THE AFTERNOON!) and preceded to tell me that they were not taking any new clients for the holiday. (WHAT HOLIDAY??? IT'S SEPTEMBER!) I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated.....a potential client at that!!! It seems they are too busy to accept new clients. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I was pretty upset that I had just drove up to this place after all the recommedations of it to then be just turned away and pretty rudely at that. Cons: Very poor customer service more

We've been using Rebel Run to board our dogs for a long time. The place is very clean and the people who run it are friendly, courteous, and accommodating. You can tell by the way they interact with the animals and what they tell you about your pet when you return that they are real animal lovers and get to know your pets well while they are in their care. You can pick up on Sundays which is also a big plus. more

I'm not kidding when I say that! My dogs run into Rebel Run and are greeted with kisses! \r \r I have been taking my dogs to Rebel Run for the past few years and although I'm a completely annoying dog owner because I worry about everything regarding my dogs, I always get them back happy and well-cared for. The owners are very loving and my dogs know that they are loved by Kathy, Margo and Tom. I have referred several happy dog owners there. I've used this kennel several times, but this was the last time. I believe that when you drop your dogs off you should be confident that every attempt to give them the best care is available to them. This is not the case with Rebel Run. We dropped our dogs off on a Tuesday and my daughter spoke with someone the following Monday to check in on them and she was told that they were fine. She told them please call if you need anything. I picked them up 4 days later and my golden has the worst ear infection I've ever seen. When I picked them up I was told that she thought she had an infection and when I asked which ear she replied, ""I'm not really sure, she was wiggling around alot."" She had indicated that she had flushed her ear several times. We called back to ask why they didn't call at least one of the two emergency numbers they were left with so our dog could receive proper treatment. The response we received was less than comforting. They said, ""Perhaps we had poor judgement in not calling, but we aren't responsible for taking care of infections."" Poor judgement is another word for neglect. more

I needed to write a wonderful review for rebel run since they took sure great care of my coddled dog! I had a negative experience with another boarding place that seemed to barely know my dog. It was the worst feeling knowing she was in ""doggie jail"" for over a week. This year, I read the reviews on citysearch and decided to give Rebel Run a try. Boy, was I glad I did that! My dog loved the one-on-one attention she receieved. When I called to check in on her, they gave me specific information about my dog that let me know they had been spending time with her and that they knew her. She didn't even seem too excited to leave when we came to get her! Last time, at the OTHER boarding place, she practically ran on her hind legs to get iout of there. If you love you dog and give him/her any sort if attention, Rebel Run is a must for boarding!! Pros: customer service/pet service/loving care more
