Dr Read had just purchased the practice from a retiring dentist. My first encounter was for a teeth cleaning. He did not feel it was important enough to inform patients that for that day he would not be available. Never saw a doctor and I had to schedule a follow up to meet with him to consult on a tooth. The second visit the office was freezing and after 45 minutes I still waiting in the waiting room and I left. He does not care about his patients. more

First, before I say anything else, let me express that Dr. Reed and his staff have been nothing but nice and professional. They are completely competent in their jobs. That being said, I have been spoiled by truly amazing dentists in my past. Dentists that go the extra mile, remembering important personal dates, my job, etc. I get none of this extra warm and fuzzy feeling at Dr. Reed's practice. Also, the office is extremely dated- it does not appear at all high-tech, which has the unfortunate effect of making you feel you might not be getting the benefits of the latest dental research. All in all, if you are new to the area and looking for someone who does the job, Dr. Reed is fine. But don't expect the splash and glitz of modern dentistries, this might not be for you. more
