I want to respond to the post that was made by Maxine L. We remember when you came in and yes we did refuse to help with your flat tire, but what you failed to mention that we told you that we could not help you due to the fact that we had frozen pipes at that moment and was dealing with that situation. So in a way we were not open for Tire repair services for the fact that we had a emergency of our own going on at that time. We do apologize for not being available to assist you. But as I am sure you can understand that situations do come up. more

Had a flat tire and it appeared that the shop was open. While walking up to the garage, all of the men turned around and didn't even acknowledge that I was standing there. After asking if they were open and if they could help me with my flat. One man responded, ""No, I have my own problems right now."" Really?!? I will tell anyone who will listen to never use these guys. It's 2014! Don't try to act like you're better than anyone. You work in a garage. Enough said. I called my Benz roadside assistance and they were at my location in 20 minutes. Will NOT support my community local businesses....ever!! more

These guys are good! I was in the Chicago land area 2 weeks and I blew a tire. (I took my spare out for trunk space..yes im an idiot) so I had to call a tow and these guys showed up really quick. They took good care of my car and cannot thank you guys enough for getting me off the street so fast. Sooooo happy at the quick time and I will never forget you guys!!! more

it is too bad that most people don't get to see the sleepless night or the times these guys work all day and then get that call from the state police at closing time saying ""hey, guys we've got a bad one here. we need you asap"" and it ends up bring 8 more hours of being out in the cold wet night to clean up the mess so the roads will be open and clear for rush hour the next morning.\r \r it too bad these same people don't get to see the call from the local PD. asking if Ray & Wally's could get someone out like 5 minutes ago, because there's a baby locked in a car along with the keys. then to top it all off, Ray & Dan tell the man they sent out to rescuer the baby. ""When you get there open the car and leave, this is a freebie! there's a child in danger. get the job done and go.""\r \r so if they get upset for what ever the reason, oh well, they are human and they have to deal with situations on a daily that can never be unseen. \r \r so in my book these guys fantastic.\r \r some may even say that my opinion is not biased, but hey i don't care.\r \r because i was that guy who was told to unlock that car and walk away. more

I'm taking the time to write this review because people should know about these guys. They really gave me impressive service. There was a little wait, but that can be expected in this weather. There were very kind to me and I really felt they understood my situation. I recommend these guys to anyone. Thank you thank you :) more

Car broke down last week and called these guys. I have to admit i was surprised at how quickly they got to me. I actually sat up on a hill away from the car and waited (it was on a dangerous road), but it wasn't long before they were there. Nice people and quick response, that's all i really care about. more

I find the post from Mommy2Angels comical since she is AnnMarie the sister of the owner Dan and Daughter of Ray. Nothing like a biased opinion to try and save face on a rating site. I've been into Ray and Wally's twice, once I had the pleasure of hearing Dan screaming at an african american driver in view of all and the 2nd time Dan screaming into the phone at god knows who. Can someone get Dan a door and an anger management class? There is no justification for a man with no people skills no matter what the reason for a tow was. more

Everyone needs to understand that 80% of a towing companies business is police tows. The police tow your car for one of two reasons. You one were in a accident or two you did something wrong (aka: broke the law) So of course you are going to take your frustration out on someone and the majority of the time it is the towing company. What most people do not understand is that 95% of the police departments in the area tell the towing company what they should charge and the requirements that must be met before you can get your car released. So the people who work at a towing company are just trying to follow the police departments rules because it is the towing business that provides food and shelter for their families. How would you like to go out on a highway lay on the ground with speeding cars flying by you to hook up a vehicle of someone who did not think twice of their actions all for nothing? No you wouldn't. ,the majority of us would not, but these men do this everyday to keep your vehicle safe from the next person who is distracted or shouldn't be driving for one reason or another and crashes into your car or decides that they are going to steel your vehicle or everything in it.. So the next time you are standing in a towing company and they tell you that it is $$ realize that it is because they are keeping your vehicle safe for you while you get your life in order, smile and pay the people and do not complain. Because we have no one else to blame for our actions and outcome but ourselves. They work hard for their money just like you do. Unless you want your boss to tell you on pay day that they think you should only get paid 75% of what is owed to you. I think not. I would have given 1 star had it not been for the courtesy of the driver but good luck dealing with the owner Dan or his crotchity old man Ray. Those 2 wouldn't know good customer service if it bit them in the ass. I was screamed at over a misquoted price which had a 5 dollar difference. Instead of maybe asking the driver or giving me the benefit of the doubt I was call a scammer and a thief. more
