Everyone needs to understand that 80% of a towing companies business is police tows. The police tow your car for one of two reasons. You one were in a accident or two you did something wrong (aka: broke the law) So of course you are going to take your frustration out on someone and the majority of the time it is the towing company. What most people do not understand is that 95% of the police departments in the area tell the towing company what they should charge and the requirements that must be met before you can get your car released. So the people who work at a towing company are just trying to follow the police departments rules because it is the towing business that provides food and shelter for their families. How would you like to go out on a highway lay on the ground with speeding cars flying by you to hook up a vehicle of someone who did not think twice of their actions all for nothing? No you wouldn't. ,the majority of us would not, but these men do this everyday to keep your vehicle safe from the next person who is distracted or shouldn't be driving for one reason or another and crashes into your car or decides that they are going to steel your vehicle or everything in it.. So the next time you are standing in a towing company and they tell you that it is $$ realize that it is because they are keeping your vehicle safe for you while you get your life in order, smile and pay the people and do not complain. Because we have no one else to blame for our actions and outcome but ourselves. They work hard for their money just like you do. Unless you want your boss to tell you on pay day that they think you should only get paid 75% of what is owed to you. I think not. Just think of all the time and money that they saved you by towing your vehicle and keeping it safe.
