RatPack Continues To Shine ! 11/8/2007

Ok so the mall opens with all these new places , and you cant get in, so we go across the street to our old hang out the RatPack Cafe and we had one of most enjoyable times. The place looks like it just opened but we asked the manager , who turned out to be the owner and they are beginning their tenth year. The food , service and music were all awesome. I had the braised beef , while my wife had pumpkin ravioli. I feel ashamed that we ,like most people have to try the trendy new places , while we forget what is really good. Pros: plenty of parking Cons: hard to find more

Poor service and pedestrian food 11/4/2007

The food was OK, but not great or at all memorable, and the hostess was quite rude and confrontational, acting like it was a great favor to seat us even though we did have a reservation. For the price, we expected some creativity in the food or the presentation, but there was none. This might have been a better choice a couple years ago, but now there are truly grade-A restaurants in the Natick/Framingham area, like Metro 9, Met Bar & Grill, Sel de la Terre, and you would be better served spending your money there where the staff appreciates your presence and the food is excellent. Pros: Parking is easy Cons: Mediocre food, rude service, location next to an arcade (not romantic!) more

Yeah, I heard about that place...."" You Should have ! It's Scrumptious! 7/1/2007

I have had great meals in my life. This dinner was added to the roster. I went there as a recommmendation from a friend, of a friend, from her friend's friend etc. The first time we tried to get reservations it was packed. We couldn't get a table.Even though I tried to slip the host some cash, he didn't budge. We went back the following week with a reservation. The choices of victuals and nourishment were mouthwatering. The atmosphere was definitely smokey room Las Vegas. I asked for the owner Ronnie, also the chef with a long Boston Back bay restaurant past. I think I'll say it was better than Mistral.\r A month or so later we took my 9 and 13 yr old for desserts it was an early Thurs. evening. The piano singer was great. The 9 yr old asked for a song from Rent. The player didn't know any( at least he was honest). He did play Piano Man by Billy Joel per my 9yr old's request. Needless to say we were all thrilled. I think the raspberry mousse cake won out over the cheesecake...but then again there was the pecan tart and apple turnover...Go Go Go!.. Pros: Food, atmosphere, music, attentiveness, intimacy, kids were very welcomed for dessert Cons: waitstaff(not professional) more

Boston in the Suburbs! A truly hidden treasure. 7/9/2006

I cant believe this place has been open for 7 years and I just found it! Tucked behind a Legals in Framingham , this place is awesome , from the staff, to the food, to the service. I was there on a thursday night with a date and we enjoyed pan seared scallopsand a bone-in filet. Food was as good as any Boston restaurant. A jazz trio played @ 9,(this woman can sing!), and we hung out around the piano bar until 11. Pros: city dining in the suburbs Cons: hard to find, in the back of a mall more

Pretty good food and atmosphere 2/24/2005

This isn't a place for a yuppie like me, but a friend gave my parents a gift certificate, so I thought I'd check it out. As of the time I was writing my review, it had a pretty low Citysearch rating, but it's really not too bad. The food was good, the roasted chicken was generous and well-spiced. The steak was slightly better than expected. The atmosphere wasn't bad, with good live music and a pleasant staff. Seems like a great place for suburban parent types looking to get away. more
