Rapid Rover

Love these people right now. Lol. I average one trip per month, probably for the past five years. They are a shared ride service, which means usually others will be in the vehicle with you. If you dont know that, i guess you could end up disappointed. I have never had a bad experience, although in the past coming home ive waited a bit too long. They seem to have corrected this problem. Gotta laugh at how many people provided a low rating on july 28, 2011. This is a decent service and theyve been around for a long time. more

Hate these people right now. Made a verbal contract for private van to transport me and my family home from PHL airport. Got there and was told rudely, "Nope. We can put other people in with you so we will. You'll have to share." I guess a verbal contract is worthless when there is money to be made. Now I am sitting with my 3 small kids stuck on a 2 hr ride that was supposed to be 40 min long. It is after 11pm and home is nowhere in sight. more

I've had wonderful experiences with Rapid Rover! Courteous and helpful staff and on-time pick-ups to and from the airport. Shared ride service provides inexpensive fares and leaves the hassle of driving and parking to professional drivers. Would hihgly recommend this service to anyone from New Jersey! more

I will never take a Rapid Rover again, after having taking approximately 10 trips with them. My worst experience was with an unsafe driver; we were all nervous about the driving ability of the driver and his excessive speeds. I still gave Rapid Rover a few more chances, but I have found that they are not only always late but also too expensive to be late. For many of my trips, it is much more worthwhile to just pay for the off-site parking at the airport. They charge me $35.00, and I tip the driver $5.00...if I am taking a weekend 3-day trip I don't save a dime. The last time I was late, it was over 50 minutes late and I missed my plane! Rapid Rover had no apologies for this lateness, and no options for me either. I'll drive myself next time and avoid having the calculated risk of this company handling matters. more

They are the only game in town to get from South Jersey to PHL. On arrival, I saw 2 vans roll by without stopping for me.\r I called after 25 minutes to ask what was going on. Told a van would be there in 2 minutes. \r \r Pros - Big fleet, relatively new, operate around the clock. Take departure reservations. Don't have to drive yourself home if tired, or there is bad weather.\r \r Cons - Truck chassis (don't plan on sleeping) Long waits to get home from PHL. Should use a GPS to get directions. Pricey - $70+ reound trip.\r \r Verdict - May try airport parking next time if clear weather. more

I've used Rapid Rover a couple of times when visiting Philly for conferences. They were courteous and friendly. Sometimes I had to wait a while to get a ride, but the service was otherwise good. more

Almost missed flight. Driver parked one street over and sat until I started dragging my suitcase over, even though it was at the end of the time window they had given me. Driver then took longest way to next stop, where the person spent overt 5 minutes in the house before finally emerging. At next stop driver stood and watched for about 10 minutes while 3 members of a family got in van, got out, went in house, got in and out of car, got more luggage, and finally after about 10 minutes got in the van with a fourth person. I let everyone know I had the earliest flight, that I was going to miss it if we didn't get moving. If the line at the check-in counter or security stations had been any longer, I would have missed the flight--and there were 2 small grandchildren waiting to join me at the airport. more

We used rapid rover to get to the airport and we were very pleased. The ride was comfortable and we had plenty of room for our luggage. The driver was friendly and professional. We would definitely use them again. more

can call the company to reserve a seat to take you to the airport anytime, 24/7. No matter what time your flight is, they charge the same amount of money. The transportation is a big SUV more

their service is lousy. I was told I would be picked up within 30 minutes. I called for a status at 45 minutes and was told to wait another 30. I asked why am I watching empty rapid rover vans drive by and I was sent to the supervisor who proceeded to ask me if I still wanted a ride. Having no choice I am still stuck here an hour later. The supervisor then hung up on me.\r \r Never again. more

This is a transportation service my family uses to get to and from the airport. It's nice to be able to get a ride to the airport without bothering your friends or paying the high fees of parking while you are away. The downside is they are picking up people other than you- who may be late or delay the trip in some way. I heard one story where the people forgot their tickets and they had to turn around. As far as I know this service is offered in Burlington County but not Mercer County (the Hyatt in Princeton used to be one stop they made). They are a reliable, profesional service however and I have never had a problem. They offer this service at a reasonable price but I think they raise it per person so a whole family might not like the price. more
