OMG I'm soooo happy!!! I am pleased to say that my experience in finding my 1st apartment with Rapid Realty was an awesome one! My Rapid agent made the whole process easier than I...

Worst

KEEP YOUR WORD!!! If you say that your going to give deposit to landlord in good faith, do it! Don't pocket the money....Apartment hunting process went well until that point and I...

EFFICIENCY..ENERGY..PASSION..CONSISTENCY 1/27/2011

My experience with Rapid Realty Kicked ASS..I was flying in from California in a couple of weeks and I needed a place, I contacted an Agent by the name of Zaghir Ahmed. People! This guy is the REAL DEAL! he got right to work. I found a place on my FIRST DAY here, this place was everything I asked for time a bazillion. If your in a hurry to move and are looking to waste no time.. CALL ZAGHIR AHMED...he will find you an apartment..I REPEAT HE WILL FIND YOU AN APARTMENT. he's fast. consistent , and has a great personality. and to top it off the staff at rapid realty welcomed me with open arms, When my friend moves to NYC in the Summer and looks for a place, we're calling back RAPID REALTY.. more

When you see this company RUN the other WAY!!!! 1/25/2011

When you see this company RUN the other WAY!!!! They will tell you everything you need to hear to make the deal seem like the dream apartment. The realtor Zaghir Ahmed aka Zigar in the park slopes office there Brooklyn location that lives in Carroll Gardens is a prime example (funds I am sure received deceptive tactics and scamming people into leaving deposit). He is ruthless, unprofessional, can hardly articulate with out sounding uneducated and giving you false information about possible apartment available. He talked me into putting down money for an apartment in park slopes. Come to find out weeks after leaving the deposit, information for the credit check, W2, proof of employment and all information need for the application; a couple weeks later called me with the story of it was possible not available. If I could put down $ 5,000 dollars verse original $ 2,600 balance due on move the in date. He claims there was another application that was better. Weeks after I was giving a receipt as the apartment being mine. This had nothing to do with my deposit to hold the apartment. He pulled what is called a bait and switch. When I requested a refund, he would not return my phone calls or text at all. Funny, enough after seeing the apartment he called me everyday countless times (more times then I talk to my girlfriend or anyone in a day!) in regards to if I wanted the apartment. He went as low as to call me/text on New Years Eve and New Year?s days all day back to back in addition to endless texts. When a refund was request he disappeared faster then a fugitive on the America most wanted list. This is a very shady unethical company. I had to let him know in text/ voice mails I was going to contact the proper channels ( help me Howard from the news, my personal lawyer, the attorney general, the commission for consumer of realty, the better business bureau etc) If you check this site and others, all this company reviews are 95% - 100% percent negative. Trust what you read!!! If anyone took time to write a comment please take a word of advice look to another company (it not worth it in the end, save your self the stress, time and energy). In the end I found an apartment with a genuine professional broker verse a rapid realty who are more un trust worthy then money hungry lawyers. Good luck. more

Professionalism at it's best.......... 12/30/2010

I received a letter from my landlord stating that he wasn't going to renew my lease.I was in shock being that it was so close to Christmas.I immediately got on line and started looking for a realtor.I saw a heading that said ""I will make it Happen"" so I email the realtor.I got a call the next day from Zaghir Ahmed, we discussed what I needed and he said he'd get right on it.He showed me 2 apts & I loved both and took the second one.I moved in 2 weeks:)) His execution and urgency was extremely impressive and appreciated...I was in my new place 12/4....Thank You,your the best!!!Will recommend and use you in the future! Homeless???? yes or no????? 12/22/2010

I was hit with the possibility of being homeless with my daughter. My parents sold our home and I was left the responsibity of looking for 3 apartments. I went to Rapid Realty whom connected me with an agent, Zaghir Ahmed. This gentleman listened to my trouble and got right to work. We went on many viewings and found 3 apartments in a matter of 3weeks. I am currently living in my new apartment, in a safe, vibrant neighborhood with nice landlords. Zaghir Ahmed (Rapid Realty) is an amazing agent with a caring heart. I recommend him to all. more

AWFUL!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/16/2010

I had a similar experience that Niknik916 had. \r I got a weird feeling when i was being asked to put down large amounts of money with no information, and all the agents that were helping me were college students that didn't know anything. \r I was also told that the apartment was ""no fee"" but i was asked to pay 1st and last month plus security, which i later found was wrong. (i was actually paying 1st and security/last month to the landlord, and paying a 1month broker fee). They kept asking for me to have a guarantor, so my parents were going to do it.\r However, they would not relinquish a copy of the lease for my parents to look over before signing. this totally sketched me out, because only an idiot will sign a lease without reading it and a guarantor is essentially signing the lease for you and are holding themselves accountable for any deviation from the terms of the lease. we were getting threatening messages telling us that they HAD to sign it that day or forget the apartment. we ended up finding another apartment with a different branch of rapid realty and the apartment wasnt as great (its a 5 floor walk-up!!!) but we were able to see the damn lease. \r But...i was working with Kristin Halla and Anthony Holder and i thought they were great...until i got the apartment. i had asked about 20 times to see a copy of the damn lease for my records, and i was told i would get one. after asking about 20 or so times i was sent a copy, but it was missing 2 of the most important pages!!! so as i am typing this i am still completely pissed off that i can't get a copy of the lease and they are ignoring my emails, that i am getting my sister who is a lawyer involved while i still have evidence in the emails that i have been asking with no response. i have also be reporting rapid realty to the better business bureau because they are swindling people out of hard earned money, and anthony holder, kristin holla, and monique, you guys just better watch out because you will more than likely be unemployed soon...\r (i also put 1 star because i had to, it i could put negative stars i would!!!) more

SAVE YOURSELVES 10/19/2010

I didn't bother reading the 5 star ratings because I know they were put there by Rapid Realty employees. I starting apartment hunting in Brooklyn in July 2010; luckily, I was in no rush to find a place. My friend referred me to an agent at Rapid Realty (she mentioned him several times and I decided to call the guy the fifth time). So, I made an appointment to meet with the gentleman the following day and he showed me ONE fabulous apartment. The second we walked out of the brownstone, standing on the sidewalk, he told me that I would have to give him a check for first month?s rent, last month?s rent and a security deposit. I couldn't understand what the security deposit was for because he had already told me in a previous conversation that Rapid Realty WOULD NOT charge a fee. He told me that the third month?s rent was in case I left the place in a mess when I moved out. I thought that's what last month?s rent was for. Anyway, I asked him why in the world would I give a dime if there was no guarantee I would get the apartment. At that point I hadn?t filled out one form. He didn?t even know if I had given him the right name. All he was concerned with was money. I proceeded to remind him that he promised to show me several apartments and even though I really like the apartment he had just showed me I wanted to see a few more, have options. He was a bit annoyed and tried (aggressively) to talk me into giving him a check. Eventually, he retreated and promised to take me out to see more apartments the following day. In the meantime, I dreamed about the first apartment I saw. So?he and I went out the following day to look at 3 apartments. The first apartment was a DISASTER. We were unable to get into the second apartment because his colleague had the keys and she wasn?t there. The third apartment was cute but more junior level. We doubled back to the second apartment and it was a no go. I really wanted to settle on the first apartment I saw the day before but was suspicious about having to leave money behind without nothing being done i.e. credit check, application, etc. I told the agent that I had to sleep on it. He and I went back and forth. During one conversation he was extremely understanding and comforting and the next conversation he was practically yelling at me. more

I just couldn’t wrap my head around giving my money away but I was obsessed with the apartment. I went to Rapid’s website and low and behold, the apartment I wanted was listed, after I was told that it was taken off the listing. Approximately three weeks had gone by and my phone rang. It was the first agent; the one my friend initially referred me to. He told me that the apartment I really wanted was available again. I was so angry because I knew something wasn’t right. I asked him what happened to the people that signed the lease and he said something about the tenants not being eligible for the apartment. I thought that it was odd that a month had gone by and they just figured out the tenants were not eligible. I decided that I would cut ties with that agent and Rapid Realty all together. The last I heard from that tenant was a voicemail I received stating “Hi ____! I know I’m fired but wanted to let you know that I think you are real cool and maybe we can hang out sometime”. Can you believe it. Rapid Realty is the worst!!!\r \r PS. I was forced to put one star, otherwise it would have been nothing at all. more

Right on target 9/21/2010

Chris Horner how do I love thee let me count the ways....... My roommates and I were in dyer need to move quickly. So like many others went to Craigslist. I contacted an ad. Unbeknowst to me, the ad was from a realty company. I was a little leary to proceed due to past experiences, but Chris was different! He informed me that the apt we were interested in was no longer on the market. ( Rather then of just showing us something else and passing it off as the apt that was adverised , trust me this has happend!!) Instead he informed us that he had something AMAZING that just came on the market and he would like to show us. He worked on our time. Some how some way he got 3 girls on 3 different schedules to see this apt without the slightest hesitant or annoyance of our ever changing schedules. It was not an easy feat! When we saw the apt we fell in love! An amazing 3 Bed/ 2 bth in the area we wanted. He was friendly, genuine, and had our best interest at heart. Chris is very efficient at what he does and doesnt waste your time with B*&%*t apts. Chris Horner u rock. ( sorry for the corniness>>>>> but he's great) :) more

Truly Rapid 9/20/2010

My girlfriend and I were shown an apartment by Chris and his associate Vivica at about 11:30 am, we fell in love with it, and had the lease signed by 6 that night. We were working with incredible time constraints and Chris was honest, organized, and incredibly efficient which made the deal happen very quickly. We never once felt pressure of any kind and it was so greatly appreciated . Though our encounter with Rapid Realty was brief, it was tremendously positive and gratifying! more
