We were over due on our oil change. We happened to be in the area and I had never used RMC before so I called to see if they could get me in. I took them a while to answer the phone and another wait to get the service center to pick up. Once someone picked up (Clarence) He gave me a time to come in and took my info and was very polite.\r
We arrived on time and pulled into the service bays. The place was a bit messy due to the remodeling they are going through.\r
Me & my 5 yo. got out and stood next to our car, know one greeted us except another customer waiting to pay. Finally a older man asked if we had an appointment and steered us to Clarence's office area. Once off the phone Clarence introduced himself to me and my 5 year old....very cool. We went over the specifics, he showed us where the waiting room was and went on his business. For a company this size (regardless of the renovations) their waiting room was lame.\r
Me and the boy headed to the show room to 'look' at the rides. NOT ONE PERSON SAID HELLO. I can remember my Dad taking me to our local dealership when we needed the family truckster worked on and we got the grand tour of the place. We sat in cars, collected brochures, TALKED to salespeople and learned about the cool stuff cars had that year. No we weren't buying, but we were customers.\r
Fast forward 11 years and I was buying my first car from the very salesman that picked me up and set me in the back of the new truck on the sales floor years ago.\r
My son and I ventured down to look at the new trucks and Suburbans. Someone did ask if we needed help ""just looking"" I say, and that was it. Are they that busy? I got a weird vib from these folks.\r
OK, back to the service center. We made a pit stop to the parts department to look at hats, shirts etc. The man working the desk was very polite and friendly.\r
We popped into the waiting room and within 5 minutes Clarence was back to tell us our car was finished.\r
Check out was easy and they had a offer that Chevrolet was giving $10 back on a mail-in rebate, (they were out of coupons, but Clarence wrote it all down). Everything looked and sounds normal..... will we be back? 60% on the No side, we'll see.
