Review content:
My experience shopping at Randy Marion was absolutely horrible. If you're buying a used car, especially a high end car- be very careful about coming in having done your research on price. I had a salesman named Greg who was unwilling to work with me to get a price that would benefit the both of us. When we got to a point that was somewhat of a better scenario to work with, he pulled out their policy against getting Pre-purchase inspections (PPIs) and said that if I wanted to get it checked out then I'd have to ""take it as my car."" basically the only way I could get it inspected was if I purchased the vehicle and brought it to my mechanic, and they'd pay to fix whatever problems were with it. As a buyer, this puts you at a huge disadvantage in having any ability to walk away from a lemon. If the car I purchased had some serious electrical issues, chances are I would pass from the get-go. NEVER BUY A USED CAR WITHOUT GETTING A PPI!!! Their VP called me after I left and informed me that this was company policy etc... Then Randy Marion himself actually called me and told me that he'd been taken advantage of by others and that he essentially couldn't allow anyone to get a PPI without buying an auto. In other words; he does not trust his customers. How can you purchase an automobile from a dealer that will not trust you? Better yet, how can you trust a company that does not trust you. I had a coworker that came to this dealership because they were advertising $19 oil changes, but she got bait and switched; ended up paying $59 after the service was performed. She was told that she had to ask for the non synthetic oil for her car to pay the $19r. Her car doesn't even need synthetic oil in the first place since it's a 98'! This is a classic bait and switch. There are plenty of dealers around Charlotte. Save your gas from driving up to Mooresville towards a more respectable dealer purchase. Steve Moore, City Chevrolet, KefferVW... These are some of the gems in the area. Don't get played at Randy Marion.
