I took my cat in as an emergency patient after hours, we actually go to another vet. The care we received while actually there was really pretty good but now we are on the third d...

Quick Availability 2/3/2010

Convenient, quick availability for an appointment. I did have to wait a bit when I picked him up, but not too long. more

Sympathetic and helpful 1/27/2010

The workers were very sympathetic and helpful. It was a very difficult evening for me... putting down my dog of 15 years. The vet was especially consoling and comforting. Sorry I can't write more but it still is difficult for me to recall. Thank you. more

Outstanding 1/12/2010

Outstanding! We have been clients of Webster Groves Animal Hospital for 15 years now and couldn't be happier. When our Missy was sick last year she spent 5 days in the hopsital. The staff was so caring and concerned about our baby. And unlike other hospitals, she was not left alone when the staff went home for the day. This is the only hospital I know of that does this! At our last vet our sick dog was left alone from the time they closed at 4 pm on Saturday until the kennel crew showed up at 9 am the next morning! Not here - they literally have someone there 24 hours a day. The prices are also outstanding. I was concerned about the price of gas and called around to see if I could get vaccines any cheaper elsewhere (closer). I couldn't believe it. Webster Groves Animal Hospital had the best price! We will continue to use Webster Groves Animal Hospital and always send our friends there! Cudos! Susan more

We will definitely return!! 1/12/2010

We have been clients of webster groves animal hospital for 10 years now. We recently lost our Jessie to cancer and wanted to thank the staff for the kind support they gave during this difficult time. Even though the cancer was caught early it was a really bad kind of cancer and poor Jessie never had a chance. Thank you to the technician who was with us when we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. And a special thank you to Dr. Randazzo who has been Sadies primary doctor. Also a special thank you to the overnight technician whose job is to care for the animals during the short time they are closed. So our Sadie was never left in a cage alone and scared for hours in the evening when most vet offices close. At webster there is someone there 24 hours a day. You cannot imagine the peace of mind this gave my family when Sadie was hospitalized. When enough time passes we are going to get another dog and of course plan on coming back to this hospital! Your hours are incredible and I can't believe how inexpensive vaccines are. If anyone is looking for an excellent vet hospital I highly recommend this one. We will definitely use this vet for our next pet! more

the hous are awesome!!! 1/5/2010

This vet has such a large staff that, if one vet is unsure about a diagnosis, they have several others to confer with. Also, I can choose to either see my favorite, Dr. Tate, or the hours make it possible to bring my pet in almost any time without having to pay the huge fees at the emergency clinic more

Extremely Knowledgeable! 12/16/2009

My pomeranian has been going to WGAH since I've had her. Dr. Britt is extremely knowledgeable and does all she can to ensure my dog is calm and comfortable during checkups. Other reviewers have stated that they see a different vet each visit, but you can specify which vet you would like to see when you set up your appt. My dog has her annual checkups, her spay surgery, dental cleaning, and Xrays when she broke her leg all at WGAH. When she required surgery to repair her leg that could not be done at WGAH, they offered a referal to a surgeon in the area (who was fantastic). The hrs can't be beat - they are open until 2AM during the wk and are open 24 hrs on the wkd! Pricing is def competitive - their annual checkup package is reasonable and also offers 10% off preventive meds like Heartgard, etc. more

From a pleased client 12/9/2009

I take all my shihtzus here. I started going for the cheap prices on vaccines but continue going becuase of the care my boys get when they are there. I almost lost my Charlie last year. It took 5 days in the hospital but he is now happy and healthy. They were very helpful and worked with us on paying our bill. more

A Huge Blessing!!! 12/3/2009

Dr. Britt has been a blessing to our german sheperds. She was the one who was able to diagnose Scout as have EPI, and provide a treatment approach to manage it consistently. The hours that you provide has given us the opportunity to avoid missing work, while still seeing that our pets get excellent healthcare.? more

From a pleased client!! 11/24/2009

The facility is amazing at Webster. They have many state of the art things and the doctor are very knowledgeable. I am always greated when I walk in the front doors, and the veterinarians always answer any questions I may have. The also have wonderful emergency services and I can go in there any time of the day without an appointment if I have an emergency. I would recommend this vet to many people! I especially like Dr. Tate and Dr. Randazzo.? more

From a pleased client! 11/19/2009

OPEN ON THE 4TH OF JULY!! Thanks guys, you were a life saver! I don't know what my family would have done without you. Today our beloved pug Otis puked all over the kitchen. Our vet was closed and we went to Webster groves animal hospital. They saw us without an appointment and gave Otis some medicine and he is so much better now! We will switch all our four legged babies over to you. You won our trust!? more

From Jayne 11/12/2009

I have a miniature schnauzer that I took to Webster Groves Animal Hospital once for her yearly shots and check-up and once to get her teeth cleaned. First of all, the hours are great. I felt good knowing that I had an animal hospital nearby that I could use in case of an emergency, but also it was easy to get an appointment with my work schedule. I forgot what doctor I had, but she was very knowledgeable. I was concerned about Annie's (the dog) drinking. She drinks A LOT of water and I was told by my previous vet that she probably had a kidney infection, there would be tests run and drugs involved. The vet at WGAH said she was fine and made a note in Annie's chart to give her extra water after her teeth cleaning. Turns out, there is no kidney infection and I'm glad she saved me the hundreds of dollars of testing and drugs when my dog is just really thirsty. I took Annie in to a couple different vets to get prices on her teeth cleaning. WGAH was definitely the cheapest AND they didn't have to pull any teeth. Other vets said they would have to pull at least 4 teeth...without even looking in her mouth first. I live in Chicago now and wish I could come back to WGAH for my dog's check-ups. It's so hard to find a reasonably priced vet that is open outside of the 9-5 hours more

From a satisfied client 11/10/2009

Dr. Hendrickson provided excellent care for my dog when he stayed there for several days secondary to severe gastritis/obstruction. She updated me on his condition daily, and she treated him and myself with much appreciated compassion. Thank you! ***Authenticated review by ReviewBoost more

From A. Barnett on 10/08/09 11/3/2009

It was truly refreshing. From the beginning, both myself and my dog felt very comfortable with the staff and the vet. In the past, when I would take my dog to the vet he always got very high strung and would claw his way to the door. At WGAH, he was very calm and comfortable...and for me, this speaks volumes. I was so pleased. I constantly refer people to WGAH. more

From a satisfied customer 10/28/2009

We have been bringing our two dogs and several cats over the years to Webster Groves. I like the fact the vets do not sugar coat the facts, but are still gentle in delivering them, such as when we had a cat that had a very unusual auto immune disease and a cat that we found with a broken hip. They always take us right away if an emergency came up, and thank God they have long hours for those emergencies. They have taken great care of our "zoo". **Authenticated review by ReviewBoost. more

Our family highly recommends this vet 11/8/2008

Good: We like the reasonable prices, the hours, the convenience, the doctors (they really know what they are talking about), and that someone is there 24 hours a day.. Bad: sometimes i have to wait a bit on the phone. Improvements: faster service on the phone. more

WGAH - happy customer 12/31/2007

Quick service day before Christmas...I do like the hours, service on Christmas Day, too. I like the vet I had - was good at what he did, and a good listener....important to me. I do like the idea that they have such extended hours....because I WOULD NEVER EVER take a pet of mine to the emergency clinic like I did once....a total nightmare for me, my family and my dog....all they were interested in was getting me to sign a statement for unlimited treatment of our dog. We wanted to speak with the vet before we signed this form, and after six hours in their waiting room, waiting for the vet to talk with us, our question to him was, "What are the chances of our dog leading a normal or near normal life after treatment?"....the answer: "Less than one-tenth of ONE PERCENT!!!" We were infuriated at the callus treatment we recieved as a family, that our dog lay in a cage screaming (due to brain injury) and that about every twenty minutes someone would come out to us in the waiting room and try to talk us in to signing a form that would allow them to treat our dog regardless of the cost to our family. We were told to keep our dog overnight we could expect to spend about $2500.00, including testing they would do. We discovered that the kind of brain damage our dog had was not treatable in any way, that the only humane thing to do was to euthanize her. This occurred years ago, and we are still traumatized about this kind of treatment. We would have been happy to spend money on our dog to save her life.....but are still mad that we were pushed so hard to give them unlimited funds to 'save' a dog that had no chance ('less than 1/10th of 1%) of even living for 24 hours!! I don't leave my sick animals with anyone but me....I can give 24/7 instant and constant care, and I can sit right beside them encouraging them to get well - so I don't recommend leaving a pet, unless you can't deal with the situation, like someone else stated in another post about WGAH. So, I will continue to use Webster Groves Animal Hospital at this point. I need good, reliable vet service and so far, so good. I used them about 15 years ago, and was happy at that time, too. Now that we are back here in STL, I plan to use them again. JJ more

Very Busy Clinic 8/4/2005

We took our cat to this clinic when our regular Vet was on vacation. While the staff was very nice, the clinic itself was very busy and the small waiting room had a large amount of people with several different types of animals in one spot. It wasn't a good experience for anyone. While I wouldn't hesitate for my pet to see the doctors, I'd try to schedule my appointment at an odd hour so that I wouldn't be cramped with a cat carrier next to a large curious dog. more
