Starting with Lynn of Ralph Opfer Floors, she was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Very accommodating and helped us narrow down the choices that would work best for our home. We definitely appreciate her patience. That was the most important thing out of the experience working with her. The contractors were very timely, professional, skillful, experienced, and friendly. They were willing to stay as long as it took to get the job done correctly. They replaced the carpeting in our whole house. Everything turned out excellent. We only had one very minor foul up. I've recommended Ralph Opfer Floors to everyone I talk to. They are very easy to work with. It is not easy to replace carpeting with all the different designs, styles, patterns, and colors there are to choose from. They helped us work through all of that, narrow choices down, and make decisions like should we have tiles or vinyl tiles or carpeting. They got us several samples so we could throw them around the house and see what they looked like at midnight and at six in the morning and in the dining room, et cetera. They were patient with us and helped us throughout the process. It was not inexpensive and we wanted to make sure we were spending the money wisely. Seven years ago we had hardwood put in and this time we had rugs put in the remaining rooms in the house. The installers were able to do our job, which was multiple rooms, in one day. They had three different installers come in. The installers were really polite and very clean. They cleaned up after themselves and just really did a good job and worked hard. They didn't take breaks for lunch or anything. They worked until they got the job done. We were very appreciative of that. They were also very helpful. My wife and I are seniors and there were a couple of things that had to be moved. They jumped right in and did that for us. They really deserve some credit. more

We had used Ralph Opfer Floors in the past and haven't needed flooring for 15 years. Now 15 years later, we have called them again to redo the floor work. They provide great service with lasting floors. I would recommend them to anyone. Ralph Opfer Floors installed cork flooring in my home and it turned out very well. They were willing to accommodate my schedule and were very friendly, fast and thorough. I have an older house with a nonstandard threshold, and my only issue is that after they did the installation it rained and water came in. I wish I had discussed this with them and resolved it beforehand. This was my first time using them and I would again. more

GOOD STUFF: - Great & huge selection of many kinds of flooring. - I had tile, laminate, and cork installed in my home. Sub-contractor installers were highly skilled. - Installers were diligent and prompt. - Installers dealt well with unexpected situations. - My flooring job in my home took a month, and installers and I were able to deal well with one another. - Lynn (owner) was responsive and managed issues as they came up. - Lynn has a good eye and made good color and product suggestions. - Lynn is knowledgeable about the products. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: - The job in my home was unusually large. The management of invoicing and ordering of materials was a bit shaky. But, when problems occurred. Lynn corrected them. Recommendation: Get EVERYTHING itemized on the contract up-front so there is no confusion. more

We bought a house and it was right before Thanksgiving that we came in to Ralph Opfer. We wanted to get a carpet before Thanksgiving and had looked at other places that were going to be 6-7 weeks. Lynn was extremely helpful. Our carpet was able to come in before Thanksgiving, less thank a week from when we went in. I felt like she went out of her way to help us get what we needed.
