Reputable and Professional Gold Buyer 8/7/2011

This was my first time selling gold and I was very skeptical - I had already done some research before going and had a good idea of what I thought would be appropriate for my jewelry ($1800) and what was unacceptable ($600). Great Service and Value 8/4/2011

We had a great experience today at Raleigh Fine Jewelry and Coin. We had some gold we wanted to sell, and all our research pointed us in the direction of this buyer. We weren't disappointed. We were comfortable with the transaction, and felt like we got a fair price. We also got good customer service; we had a specific concern, and it was handled professionally and promptly, with an email answering our question. We'll be sending our friends there! more

Rude and unhelpful 7/28/2011

I called about buying some gold coins and was told that they wouldn't give prices over the phone. When I asked if they could at least tell me their markup over spot, the gentleman said ""Hello, can you hear me?"" in a very rude and condescending way as if I were stupid or deaf. more

I have sold jewelry before through parties, but I found this experience to be so easy and professional. There was no pressure to sell and the staff member was friendly, courteous, and professional. I was in and out in about 15 minutes and they paid me a fair price for my silver and gold. After doing my research on selling gold, then going to a couple of places and talking with the staff. I have to say hands down that Raleigh Fine Jewelry & Coin was the best for me to do business with. meeting with the staff to go over my old gold that I was looking to sell, I didn't feel pressured to sell or looked down on like some of the other places I had visited. I loved how I was shown and explained the process of testing the gold when we were not sure of the gold content. This was done in front of me and weighed. This is one aspect that stood out above the others as they wanted to take my gold and weight it where I could see and I was told my rings were not gold when in fact they were. So if your looking to sell don't waste your time by going to the other store out there.. well you can if you want to get ripped off.. Exceed my expectations! 7/18/2011

I wanted to sell some old gold/jewelry and after extensive research on gold buyers, I finally decided to visit Raleigh Fine Jewelry & Coin Jewelry. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service provided. The staff were warm, kind, and professional throughout my visit. I was not only ""served"" but educated in the whole gold buying process. My expectations were definitely exceeded with the service and the price I received for my jewelry. I also loved browsing their jewelry showcases. They have some exquisite estate pieces. I plan on going again soon!. more

Pleasantly Surprised 7/13/2011

I didn't really know what to expect but it was a great experience. I was told by a friend to go here and I was greeted at the door, very nice, treated with respect. Everything was explained to me and nothing was hidden and I was in an out of there in less than 15 minutes. I would highly recomend Raleigh Fine Jewelry and Coin to anyone! more

Excellent Gold Prices 7/10/2011

I returned to Raleigh Fine Jewelry and Coin for the second time to sell some gold jewelry that was in pretty rough shape. It was all to be melted down and they gave me a great price plus I used the 5% extra coupon that I had received on a prior visit. Next time I will be taking coins in to sell. The staff is very courteous and even got a chair for me to sit on while I waited to be seen. They also have wonderful jewelry for sale. I highly recommend this store and look forward to doing business with them in the future. more

I was very apprehensive about selling my jewelry & coin. I am by no means a coin collector and have/had no reason to keep it. I needed the $$, so I did a little research and this seemed like the best place. My research paid off. I felt very comfortable and was treated very well. It had been several years since I had last sold some of my jewelry, and I was reluctant because in the past it had always been a hassle, but I must say that dealing with Raleigh Fine Jewelry really changed all of my preconceived notions. The staff is warm, friendly, and helpful, the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, and the service straightforward and honest. I had done my research beforehand, and thought had a pretty good idea as to what to expect, but these folks not only paid more than I had expected, they made the whole experience positive in every way. Compared with experiences with other jewelry stores, I found the experience here to be transparent, friendly and professional. The value I received was approximately 25% higher than another jewelry store offered during a promotion where they promised prices 20% higher than their regular prices offered for gold. I recommend this store very highly. more

Did a lot of research online about different gold buyers, current gold prices, weight and pricing conversions, etc. before deciding on Raleigh Fine Jewelry & Coin and I'm glad I made the right choice. They were excellent to deal with! No trickery with weight and price conversions, no gimmicks....just what came off as an honest, friendly approach and transaction. They were very thorough about making sure you were educated and knew exactly what you were selling by gold type (14k, 18k), accurate weight, and explaining the price. Very straightforward, relaxed, not rushed, and I was offered a very reasonable price for my gold based on what I knew was the current price on the exchange. I would hightly recommend and will definitely go back to them again! more
