I have been with R&S Erection of Concord for 3 years already. The gentleman who came replaced a broken chain from my garage door that I had to previously open manually. He was very nice and efficient which are qualities very important to me. more

One of the springs in our garage door had been broken in half and it would not open or close. So, we called R&S Erection of Concord and even though they were far away, they managed to come fairly soon to my house. When the serviceman was done fixing our door, he noticed it was not rolling properly so he went above and beyond and lubricated it and now it feels like a whole new garage door. They do excellent work and their prices seem to be very good which is an extra bonus! I was very pleased! I was realy impressed. more

Poor service at extraordinary rates 12/16/2014

We have had R&S to our home for service and repair of our motorized driveway gates on multiple occasions. Their most recent service will be the last at our home. I cannot recommend this company. Shocking, given they must be the largest name in motorized gate and overhead door repair/installation in the Bay Area. In our case they have replaced motor driven arms on our gates. This is the same replacement made just a few years back back by R&S. While their service technician on the last visit explained that the last set were not installed correctly the first time, R&S has accepted no responsibility for the work. They were delayed in scheduling the work. When the work was scheduled they arrived with the wrong parts, only further delaying the repair work. They also charge (in my opinion) a extremely high service charge to visit and diagnose the problem. We have paid them literally thousands of dollars of the past years for repair and maintenance work but they still pass along the initial visit charge. Seems petty given the fractional time they spent and large $$ spent by this customer. I will credit their field repairman. He was super courteous, knowledgeable, and helped explain why the motor arms had failed in the past. Their office staff and management however lack on all fronts; from coordination and scheduling to providing any customer service. Extremely dissatisfied. more

The Best Possible Broken Garage Door Experience 12/5/2014

All of the personnel we dealt with were highly skilled and professional. They're the sort of people you want to have in your home, and they gave us premier service. Ryan had to trouble-shoot many different problems due to the odd, outdated structure of our garage door; he made it his problem, not ours, and he solved it efficiently. Frank gave us different price breakdowns for various scenarios, and it was clear what we'd be paying for. Moses instantly figured out what was wrong, unlike others from another company. He gave us a reasonable estimate, too. Ken orchestrated the whole process and personally followed up with us. This is a company that takes pride in its work, and we will definitely return to them. more

Great Service 12/5/2014

I had R&S install a new insulated garage door at my house, and they did a great job. I have them provide an annual inspection and service just to make sure everything operates properly. The technician arrived on time, was professional and a nice guy. I highly recommend R&S. more

Disastrous mess of my gates 12/2/2014

Horrible mess of major gate upgrade. Not only was the work inferior, but it was dangerous. Was unable to leave my property for two hours. Couldn't even open gates manually more

Poor service, unresponsive management 12/2/2014

Have used R&S for 14 years. Inherited Concord in 2009 when Hayward could no longer service my gates due to geography. That's when the nightmare began. With the exception of Justin who is an outstanding tech and very responsive, my experience has been they rest ofmthenorganization is completely inept. Just completed a major gate upgrade with new controller, new loops, gate security reinforcement, etc. First rain, the new metal rusted (wasn't painted correctly) circuit board shorted out (screw was left off the box) gates went down, couldn't open manually (tech knew that but didn't inform anyone) I was captive and unable to leave my property for two hours. The emergency tech response was appalling as was the lack of customer service from Tom the Sales Manager. I have five messages into Ken the owner who has never had the courtesy to return my calls. Have never receive any type of conciliation with the exception of Justin. Even the office staff has no clue what is what. Once I had signed the paper work it took R&S two months and much badgering to start the work. more

R&S Erection of Concord installed electric gates and a garage door 12 years ago and they've serviced them both ever since. They've done a couple of repairs and have always been fair, on time, and answered all my questions. more
