We have had R&S to our home for service and repair of our motorized driveway gates on multiple occasions. Their most recent service will be the last at our home.
I cannot recommend this company. Shocking, given they must be the largest name in motorized gate and overhead door repair/installation in the Bay Area.
In our case they have replaced motor driven arms on our gates. This is the same replacement made just a few years back back by R&S. While their service technician on the last visit explained that the last set were not installed correctly the first time, R&S has accepted no responsibility for the work. They were delayed in scheduling the work. When the work was scheduled they arrived with the wrong parts, only further delaying the repair work. They also charge (in my opinion) a extremely high service charge to visit and diagnose the problem.
We have paid them literally thousands of dollars of the past years for repair and maintenance work but they still pass along the initial visit charge. Seems petty given the fractional time they spent and large $$ spent by this customer.
I will credit their field repairman. He was super courteous, knowledgeable, and helped explain why the motor arms had failed in the past. Their office staff and management however lack on all fronts; from coordination and scheduling to providing any customer service.
Extremely dissatisfied.
