Most folks that partake in our tours are aware that we are the ""messengers"" and not the ""makers"" of history. As such, a reasonable amount of intelligence is required to fully enjoy our thorough tours. more

Our family reunion partook in the African American Heritage tour, by Queen City Tours. It was awful to say the least. We felt as if the tour guide was racist. He made remarks that the ""jail is the new slave plantation."" filled with blacks and Mexicans. That statement was only one of unnecessary and derogatory remarks that he made during the tour. Not only did he constantly sway from the topic of African American history in Charlotte he spoke on issues that he was not qualified nor privileged to speak on in this particular setting. And if that was not enough he tried on several occasions to push one of his political agendas on the entire bus. Totally inappropriate. This is not how you conduct business at all. I would not recommend this tour to my worst enemy. I am very disappointed in the quality of service. And no, I do not work for the city of Charlotte. more

I am a newcomer to the area and had taken the light rail, trolley, walking, and horse and buggy tours before coming across the Daily City Tour by Queen City Tours. After taking the tour I wished that I had discovered it earlier because I learned more in just over two hours than I learned on the other tours combined. Not only did this tour cover the local history, it went into the history of North Carolina and tied the local history to U.S. history. The vehicle used was clean and safe, and the driver/guide was very hospitable, and at time humorous. I am also aware that there are some mean-spirited people that work for the city that have given it bad reviews because they do not want you to know the true history! As the guide explained on our tour, President George Washington referred to Charlotte as a trifling place because of the actions of some of the locals. Pros: Tells the true history! Cons: Visit Charlotte recommends another non-safe tour more

This tour was not only safe but quite enjoyable. I am new to the area and di dnot know much about Charlotte. This tour answered all my questions and much more than I learned by riding the light rail and taking the horse and buggy tour. The review below has to be false and should not be believed.
