WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE 9/13/2011

had the worst experience with the customer service at the Queen Anne B&B. My husband and I were slated to stay there late this summer for two nights and two days before we check in they call to tell us they had overbooked the room. They indicated that they would find us an alternate bed and breakfast within the next day. The next afternoon no-one had called and so when we finally called to find out where we were staying we were given the name of a bed and breakfast in downtown Denver. The next morning I call to confirm with that bed and breakfast and they have NO RESEVATION with our name. We call the Queen Anne and no one can tell us where we are staying. Late that day we finally get a confirmation from a different Bed and Breakfast (too bad the room they booked for us at this new BnB cost more than our original reservation at the Queen Anne!!). Following that we get a call from the Queen Anne staff saying that for our inconvenience they will reimburse us the cost of taxi fare to the airport. I thought that was a great gesture and we were able to return our rental care the night before our flight in a leisurely manner. When we get back home I realize that we have not been credited for the room at the Queen Anne that we never stayed in. I reach out to Queen Anne mngmt and also let them know the amount to credit from the taxi fare. It takes FOUR weeks of calling every day to get in touch with the owner and when we finally do he indicated that he is only willing to reimburse half of the taxi fare to the airport. Apparently, what they meant to say was that they would pay the taxi from the Queen Anne to the other bed and breakfast.. REALLY?, come on?? After all the confusion with our reservation, the lack of communication, and the fact that they actually put us in a room that costs more than the one we booked with them so we are out $60 ..they refused to reimburse us for the taxi because of a misunderstanding on our part more

Adorable Bed and Breakfast! 6/27/2008

This place was wonderful. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and had helpful tips about what to do in Denver. It felt like a stay at a friend's house. The breakfast was delicious - home-made biscuits and omelettes with fresh fruit and great coffee. The location is ideal - it's only blocks from downtown Denver, in a very adorable historic district. I highly recommend Queen Anne's to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and friendly place to stay. more

Lovely Denver B&B 5/19/2008

Several years ago I had occasion to travel to Denver on business. I was able to plan for a few extra days to see the downtown for the first time. I did a search for bed and breakfasts and as luck would have it I found the Queen Anne. I have stayed there many times since. I have always been treated extremely well. From the morning breakfast that is always well prepared to the evening tasting of Denver wines everything is excellently done. They have always gone out of their way to make my stay go well. Once I even had to check in late at night and leave early in the morning. They made sure I was able to come in after everyone was in bed and in the morning I found breakfast prepared extra early and waiting in the hall outside my door. References to local restaurants are based on my preference for that day and directions are always accurate. They have even called in my reservations for me. The King family and the Queen Anne seem to attract people who are fun and interesting to sit in the living room and share experiences with. If you're coming from Denver Airport, ask Tom first for directions. He knows better ways based on time and traffic. \r \r I have found the theme rooms both interesting and well prepared. I like the combination of old world Victorian surroundings, using real furniture rather than hotel chic, combined with clean well prepared rooms and modern conveniences that were certainly not there when the place was built. They even have WiFi in every room. \r \r I like to walk in downtown Denver and I especially like to haunt Lower Downtown, or LoDo. This is a 15 minute walk away. In a different direction and a bit closer is the 16th street mall area. Across the street from the Queen Anne is a park. This makes for restful surroundings even though it's close to down town.\r \r I'm looking forward to many more visits to the King family and I would recommend the Queen Anne to anyone. Pros: Friendly, well prepared, very good knowledge of area more

very accommodating 4/6/2008

We really renjoyed our stay and were impressed with how accommodating everyone was. You are so close to the heart of downtown. We enjoyed our daily walks to the city and the park across the street adds to the charm and character. Everything was neat/clean/appropriate. Would definitely stay again. more

A Quiet Place to Stay in the City 3/31/2008

My husband and I pass through Denver once a year, and we always try to include a night at the Queen Anne Bed & Breakfast Inn. It is a very special place in the heard of the city yet away from the traffic and noise. There is a park across the street and across from the park is a fabulous neighborhood restaurant (Dish). The Inn is within walking distance to the art museum, capitol buildings and the 16th St. Mall. We have always found the King family to be welcoming and accommodating. They serve up a great breakfast, and the daily wine tasting is always a treat. The theme rooms are tastefully done - we are partial to the Remington Room which has a very good hot tub. We look forward to being there again in 2009. more

A Thing of Beauty 3/22/2008

From the friendly and helpful late arrival to the equally friendly and helpful early departure, the entire stay (3 days) was a thing of beauty. We were able to treat the place as our home! Even the visit of our young granddaughters was a thing to be enjoyed by all. They were welcome, period. I do not know what could be changed to make the visit better. We will return. We will recommend it to anyone that will listen. Pros: Everything! Cons: None! more

Wonderful, romantic getaway with private hot tub!!! 2/24/2008

My husband surprised me for our 15th wedding anniversary and had my clothes put in the room before we arrived for ""dessert."" There was wonderful piped in music playing, a dozen roses, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries with a secret crunchy ingredient. I was totally stunned and surprised!!! Then there was a hottub on the roof underneath the moon and stars, and even though it was freezing the tub kept us warm and cozy. The owner was great and made us delicious quiche and warm croissants with a secret coffee blend and fresh fruit for breakfast. I would totally recommend this find in the middle of downtown Denver for everyone. The owner's Dad was a kind man who also made us feel very much at home. What a fabulous way to celebrate any event. My husband will get a lot of mileage for this one!!! more
