Best

Decently fast for being super busy. Large menu, lots of new things to try. They have great egg rolls!

Super Good, Super Fast! 7/10/2003

What more can anyone ask for? This restaurant has excellent authentic Vietnamese food and the service is lightning fast. I am a frequent customer of Quang's. Even though they are crowded at times, the wait is no more than five or ten minutes to be seated. Once I place my order, the food usually arrives in 5 to ten minutes as well. I don't see service this fast at any other authentic restaurants. Plus, they have a HUGE parking lot right in front of the restaurant and another large parking lot behing it, on the North side. Pros: Delicious Food, Fast Service, Good Parking more

Awesome Food! 5/26/2003

If you've never been to Quang, I recommend you do so. You'll be in for a real treat! Their food is simply to best....from the appetizers to the salads, entrees and desserts. Their springrolls are the best in the upper midwest. You can't go wrong with any of the vermicelli salads, which are actually a meal in themselves. The noodle soups are authentic. The caramel flan is to die for and the peal bubble tea is becoming a hit there too! This is truly the best restaurant in the twin cities! Pros: excellent prices, extremely fast, efficient more

Still The One! 5/23/2003

I'm a customer of Quang's since they were that hole in the wall across the street from where they are now. The food was as fabulous then as it is now! The grilled marinated pork chops and rice (D1 on the menu) is one of my all time favorites. Now to my delight, they've added a couple more vegetarian dishes to the menu! If you've never tried Quang's, you are missing out on fantastic Vietnamese food. In my opionion, it is the best in the Twin Cities. Citysearch voters seem to agree with me on this... Pros: Fantastic Food, Inexpensive, Fast more

loan processor 5/14/2003

The service got worse every time I went there. Three strikes, you're out! Food and atmosphere are okay but they could care less how long you have to wait to be served. Don't ask for extra napkins if you don't want want the evil eye. I've vowed never to eat there again. Pros: resonable pricing, good atmosphere Cons: terrible service, crowded more

Good vietnamese food 5/14/2003

I've been here several times and the food here is good and it's traditional vietnamese food. I would not say that it's the best in the country but it's good for the cities. If marco_dane thinks that this is the best that vietnam can offer then he/she must not travel anywhere and lives behind Quang's. Don't get me wrong it's good, but not again the best. The service is not that great also because of it's busy there but who cares? It just needs to be ok to get you the food to your table. Try the Mi Wonton soup it's good along with the Bi string Rolls. Pros: price, food Cons: service, busy more

Loosing ground 2/15/2003

I have been going to Quang for many, many years. I was introduced to them by a vietnamese friend. I have suffered from Quang withdrawl when away for too long, but on my last visit I was very disapointed. I'm not sure I'll be going back, and my friend said she's had the same experiences. (where's ma Quang?) I don't know if the guys at Quang ever check out places like this, but I have to say that they'd better slow down and not get caught up in their own hype, because Quang'll go down in flames faster than you can say PHO. And I'd miss them! That said, I would still reccomend them, just not as enthusiastically. Pros: cheap, good parking, food is fast Cons: not as good, apathetic service more

Because your taste buds care 2/7/2003

Every time someone asks what restaurant I would reccomend, I always tell them of Quangs'. The food is excellent, well priced, and one order is more then enough. Pros: Inexpensive, Tasty food, Good service more

Abundant food with little flavor 1/15/2003

The service & food were equally bad. If you're looking for quantity without flavor, this is the place. more

what a soup! 1/13/2003

All I can say is the soup is two meals. I ordered one of the soups on a recommendation. It came with wonderful garnishes on a seperate plate. The soup was so packed full of rice noodles, seafood and pork that it was easily two meals. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Loud, Parking more

HOW CAN THEY BE? 1/1/2003

I HAVE BEEN A VEGETARIAN FOR APPROX. 15 YEARS. I'VE ATTEMPTED TO EAT AT QUANG REST. 3 OR 4 TIMES. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN MORE THAN ONE VEGETARIAN ITEM ON THE MENU. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS RESTAURANT CAN BE RATED AS VEGETARIAN. FURTHER MORE THEY HAVE BEEN UNWILLING TO ACCOMMODATE OUR NEEDS BY MAKING AN ITEM WITHOUT MEAT. more

Yum! 12/24/2002

The food was fabulous but the place was packed!! A great place to go for a quick meal. Pros: Great deal Cons: Parking! more

Wow! Cheap & Tasty 12/10/2002

I have been to Quang a few times, sometimes for eat in or sometimes for take out. Time after time it keeps drawing me back, eveytime I am in the cities. The food is tastes great, mildly spicy, and quick service even when busy. I highly recommend this place. Pros: Inexpensive, Fast Service, Good Food Cons: Cramped Seating, Parking (Sometimes) more

Quang's cafe dda rulez! 12/4/2002

I love the ice coffee at Quang's more than any coffee drink anywhere. The Pho* is great too!! more

food overrated!!! 11/24/2002

I visited this restaurant after the good reviews i heard but found it to be highly overrated. The pho soup i ordered was sour and not very authentic at all. My girlfriend is Vietnamese and she agreed also. My biggest complaint was that the service that we had was one of the rudest I have ever been to. The waitress never once smiled and basically threw the menus on the table without even acknowledging us.I would not recommend this place to any of my friends Pros: parking, roomy, easy to find Cons: long wait, poor service, not authenic more

Diversity & Enrichment 11/7/2002

I feel that Quang's makes the Twin Cities metro a better place to live (for my family at least). I almost don't want to let the secret out about this restaurant - but hey sometimes it's better to share. Having moved here from the West Coast a few years ago I have experienced a lot of sadness at the local dining and grocery store scene. I grew up in Los Angeles and learned about food from many sources - some of the best of which were my classmates grandparents (who may or may not have mastered English yet - but we communicated in the language of food). I took the culturally mixed variety of Califa's food for granted. The change that is under way here makes me feel at home again. Thank you to all the people who bring enrichment and diversity to the upper midwest! Pros: menu, preparation, inexpensive Cons: parking, not open 24 hrs, parking more

Best food 11/6/2002

Quang is the best place in town for lunch! Everything is so excellent and it comes to your table faster than fast food! The egg roll salad (I think it's called Bin Gio) is the best. more

Great Food - Best Pho 10/30/2002

Great food!! Great food!! Great food!! Great food!! Great food!! Great food!! more

Quang is reliably great 10/11/2002

The best VN sandwiches to-go in the Twin Cities, now $2 ea, up from $1.50 5 years ago! Look for the pile of white-paper bundles above the dessert case as you walk in. They have marinated cukes and fresh made pate inside. The huge, fragrant soups are great for a mid-winter jolt. Lots of VN mint, thin-sliced jalapeno chilis, and lime to mist your eyes and brow. Get the special seafood soups during the weekend, starting with Friday lunch!! Pros: good parking, inexpensive more

Incredibly fresh food! 9/12/2002

Wow! Incredibly fresh food with well-balanced flavors. Huge portions, small price. Very slow, inattentive service (Labor Day lunch). Highly recommend any of the soups and the lemongrass chicken. Clear, well-combined tastes. Spring Rolls were excellent. Must ask for Western tableware. Take-out! Pros: Inexpensive, Very fresh food Cons: Crowded, Slow Service more

Coconut Lover's Paradise 8/19/2002

I recently went to Quang after hearing rave reviews about the good food. I am glad that I went. The food was excellent! I had the caramelized lemongrass chicken on rice and the fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls. For dessert, I had the black-eyed peas and sweet rice pudding with coconut milk topping. It was fantastic. They also have a wide variety of other desserts made with sweet rice and coconut that are unbelievably good. Pros: authentic food, reasonable prices, fast service more
