Decently fast for being super busy. Large menu, lots of new things to try. They have great egg rolls!

I have been going to Quang for many, many years. I was introduced to them by a vietnamese friend. I have suffered from Quang withdrawl when away for too long, but on my last vis...

Good food, Great Service 2/22/2007

It's a very crowded and popular place and I can see why because the food and service is great. Eventhough it was busy and crowded during lunch hour on the weekend we were seated within 5 minutes and our food came out before we even knew it. We had pho, spring roll, and egg roll. It was very tasty and very generous on the meat for the beef pho combo. Pros: food, cheap, fast and friendly service Cons: parking more

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy 1/27/2007

I love Quang's and go there at least every other weekend for lunch. Go after 2, when the rush has died down and there's no wait. The pho is mouth-watering, with huge slices of lean beef (I like the combo with the meatballs - squirt some hoisin sauce on a plate and dunk your meatballs in it), tasty broth, and accompanying sprouts, basil, fresh sliced hot peppers, and lime wedges. My only complaint is that they are a bit skimpy on the noodles and fresh basil. Like a previous reviewer, I also suspect too generous amounts of MSG - I'm always quite thirsty after eating their pho. When I have time, I prefer my to make my own pho, but when I'm feeling lazy, Quang's fills the urge. I've tried to branch out and try other Vietnamese restaurants, but I've always been disappointed. Other gotta try dishes: mi won ton (wonton noodle soup), grilled beef/egg roll bun (noodle salad), and bubble tea (I know, it's made with powder, but I almost prefer these to the ""fresh juice"" ones). The egg rolls are a bit greasy and light on the filling, and the spring rolls are not too flavorful - most of it comes from the peanut dipping sauce. But when you want some good noodle soup or bun, Quangs is the place to be. Pros: Great, dependable bowls of pho and bun Cons: A bit too much MSG more

Rachael Ray was Right! 1/2/2007

I recently moved to Minneapolis from Los Angeles and believe me when I say I know my Vietnamese food! Pros: good food, good scenery more

Rude waitress, just do take out 11/12/2006

I've always like their food, but they hae got the rudest waitress ever. They automatically add tip on your bill and not tell, so get your bill itemize. Pretty slimy people work their. I would just do the take out. Pros: food, cheap Cons: slimy service more

great food cheap! 8/12/2006

I've eaten at Quang's for a couple years ever since I was introduced to the place. I don't get to the uptown area much but I make sure to stop by when I can. Very good prices, clean tables, about the noise level of a cafe so you can still talk to the person youre with. My favorite dish there is the Pho. BIG FAN! Thanks Quang's!! Pros: great prices, good value, always leave with a full stomach Cons: only one location more

Best Vietnamese Food EVER 6/25/2006

I don't even really like Vietnamese food but I LOVE Quang. S-9 is my special and I gotta say, there is little on Earth as good as the S-9 at Quang. Go for the food; stay for the crazy assortment of condiments. Pros: Food more

Good food, but not so filling. 4/25/2006

Cheap, yes. Authentic, yes. For a hearty appetite, absolutely NOT! Spring rolls and egg rolls were great for the appetizer. Not much for choices in the main dish category. A lot of soups and cold rice noodle salads. Each has a lot of stuff but not enough for a typical midwest diner. Sandwhiches by register are good and more filling. more

Excellent Eats 1/2/2006

Other reviews here seem to want more food. I would suggest that 1. Order more (at these prices you can double up on food) 2. This is not a buffet. Our food was fresh and tasty. The spring rolls wer a great start. Try the noodle dishes, they are sure to please. Our waitress was great. She stopped back multiple times to see that everything was OK and offered to go cartons and a bag to carry them with. Pros: Friendly, great food, low prices more

wonderful 11/28/2005

Loved It! 10/8/2005

It does not get much better than this! The food I had today was a good as what I've had on the West and East Coast. more

Authentic as it comes 3/2/2004

Quang's is by far the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the Twin Cities. The prices are low and the food is fresh, unlike some of the other Vietnamese joints (my fellow Viets, you feel me?) The dishes offered at Quang's are as authentic as it comes; come on, if a restaurant offers pho, you know its for real! Other places like, Lotus, who claim to be a Vietamese restaurant pretty much offer all stir fry dishes which give non-Viets the impression that Vietnamese food is similar to Chinese food. Overall, if you want REAL Viet food, go to Quang's! Pros: food, $$ more

Overrated 2/16/2004

This place use to be my favorite for Pho when they were in the old locations, but now the soup has so much msg in it that I feel so thirsty after eating there everytime. I m not allergic to msg or anything but they just use way too much. The value is not there anymore either. On another note their grilled beef vermicelli salad is quite good. Cons: , Service more

Food 8/11/2003

I don't think Quang's is the BEST. But it actually has good dishes. Their menus are wonderful, they actually have some pictures of what a ontray looks like! During lunch it's crowded, and weekends during lunch hours. The service is much slower, but it is much quicker when there are not a lot of people. Some of the servers are rude and give you weird looks, but I think there's 2 of them like that, but the rest are great. Pros: Good Parking more

Fast and uhh.. AWESOME 7/17/2003

Quang has the quickest, fastest service I've ever received from an authentic vietnamese restaurant. They're even faster than Mickey D's!!!! The food is cheap and exceptionally prepared for your dining needs. I recommend this place to any and all, especially if you enjoy a quick meal. Their vermicelli salads are what I go for everytime, which are meals and not actual puny salads. Pros: cheap food, great food more

Best Noodle Soups 7/16/2003

My favorite thing to eat at Quang is their Pho noodle soups. These are large bowls of rice noodles in beef stock seasoned with many different herbs and spices. These noodle soups consist of slice beef, brisket, tendons, meatballs, etc. make an excellent meal. Pros: excellent soups, fast, cheap more

Yum Yum 7/16/2003

This is the one Vietnamese place I take my friends and family to eat when they visit from out of town. The food is utterly fantastic! Over the years, everyone that I've taken there has been totally impressed with the food. I have relatives from California, NY, and Texas and none of them has eaten Vietnamese food this good in their respective home states. Not only is the food out of this world, it is extremely affordable and the service is very fast! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Pros: Delicious Food, Fast Service, Huge Parking Lots more

Quang not good anymore 7/16/2003

I used to eat there a lot because the foods were very good but now all of the foods are really bad and not authentic at all. I would never ome back again Cons: not authentic, parking more

Bad Vietnamese Restaurant 7/14/2003

One word - OVERRATED, you should check the other vietnamese restaurants which are much better than Quang's and of course the prices are much cheaper Cons: food suck, crowded, no parking more
