Quality 1st Basements

I can't believe how people rated this company so high. I chose this company based on these review, but now I am in the process of suing this company. I am the seller of house in NJ and I really needed to get this done quickly to sell my house. The representative was very kind at first. Don't be impressed. He will ignore you after the job was done and get paid. I chose them over other company even if they were more expensive because the representative said that I may can get the date within a week. WRONG. Don't believe it unless you get written commitment. Actual job date was 3 weeks later. Oh well, what can I do? Fine. After the job done, I asked the job receipt specifies that the date of job, work scope and warranty document indicating life time warranty. The representative said that just use the proposal he sent to me initially because they do not even have those documents! Come on...The proposal signed by myself only does not mean anything. I used many contractors, but I have never seen that one did not provide job receipt! And I spent more than $5,000!!! Even for $100 job, I got the receipt without even asking it. It is not that hard to provide one. I requested several times, but he ignored me totally and never get back to me. I ended up losing potential buyer who want to buy my house because I could not provide receipt and warranty information. Thankfully, I am an attorney that I can sue them without hiring attorney. This is just ridiculous. more

Once they install and have your money, they're done. If you have a problem, they somehow turn it around that it's not their responsibility and that it wasn't included in the contract and charge you more... Customer Service is terrible. Would NOT recommend! more

We had a young man Jaun Niera who was foreman of our job, and the only way to describe him is excellent. Extremely professional, polite, go the extra step to please the customer, great work ethic, and a real asset to your co. I am 76 and not always easy to please, yet Jonathan was a complete pleasure. He's a keeper. more

I had a TripleSafe sump pump system installed a few years ago. The installation was to be in an existing sump area that already had an overflow pipe but no pump during flooding as well as a french drain at my basement exterior door. For 3 years, I had no flooding and thought the problem was solved. Then I had 2 floods within a month this summer. This company does NOT stand by its product, does NOT honor warrantees and will NEVER call you back if you try to get a resolution especially if they are negligent. I discovered after these floods that they closed off the overflow pipe and buried it outside of the sump so there is no place for the water to go except in the basement. They actually made it worse. They are crooks and are quick to take you money but and sell you a ridiculous $450 battery backup replacement but will not unfuck their work. I would suggest if you want a company that will support their customers if their work fails, then run like the wind from Tom and his band of incompetent workers. more

On August 29, 2012, Juan Garcia and his crew waterproofed a basement for me. They worked all day non-stop and completed the job quicker than I anticipated. The basement was left very clean. You would never know jackhammers breaking up concrete to do the job were ever there. Whatever questions I had were answered to my satisfaction. Juan is an excellent representative of Quality 1st and I would highly recommend the company based on Juan Garcia and his work crew. more

I had a waterguard system, sump pump,clean space wall covering . A group of four came early and took time to protect everything in my basement with plastic. They proceded to work without stopping and finished quickly. The work was beautifully and professionally done. Juan Garcia and crew were great. more

I used Quality 1st Basement Systems because I had a wet basement and I needed a new sump pump. They did a fairly good job. I did not love how they ended up tracing the drain - they put it into my front yard and now there are always puddles which is very annoying. more

I was recommended to Quality 1st Basement Systems by my son. I saw the work they had done on his house and liked it so much I requested the same guy to work on mine. He came in about a year ago and put a pump that discharges fluids outside and has a battery backup. It has been working perfectly so far. They do a very neat, diligent job at Quality 1st Basement Systems at a good, reasonable value. I have already recommended them to my neighbors because I was so happy with their work. They had to go through a little wall that I had recently refinished and you couldn't even tell they touched the wall. I would recommend them again. more

Quality 1st Basement Systems showed up on time, they had the right materials, and they knew what they were doing. They didn't have to use any of my tools, they cleaned up after themselves, and they even left extra towels in case there was anything that needed attention later on. They did a great job. more

The crew from Quality 1st Basement Systems was excellent. They came out and started immediately. The job took 2 days, originally they thought it would take 3 days. They were very hard-workers. This was an exceptionally tough job and they did it all by hand, carrying out the broken concrete. It was very labor intensive work and they did a good job. We are very, very happy with it. I thought their price was invaluable, for the work they did. I really like their actual system. They had a unique way of doing the water proofing. They dug a channel under the cement drawing the water away from the basement. I think the owner invented the system, from what I read in their information. We have had problems with flooding in our basement for years. They did this work before the big storms came through, so it was perfect timing to see if it worked, and it did! There wasn't a drop of water to be found anywhere. It stayed as dry as can be. I would highly recommend them to anybody! more

I did some online research and found that Quality 1st Basement Systems had gotten really good feedback, and had no real bad feedback. I was very happy with the work they did. I decided to try my luck in one of the corners, but it didn't work out for me so I called them back again for that corner too. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them to anybody. more

Quality 1st Basement Systems came in and setup, did the work, and left everything the way it was before they came in. The job was done right, the first time. There was nothing for me to worry about. They put in a new drain system and a sump pump. I was very satisfied with the finished product and would highly recommend them. more

Quality 1st Basement Systems was personal, nice, and went through everything with me. They showed me all the paper work and I got everything I wanted. I received the turtle lining which they put in a crawl space to seal up a hole. They gave me everything I needed. more

I had intereviewed FOUR other companies before interviewing Quality One. Talk about HIGH PRESSURE??? The other companies pressured me so much, saying things like they had a crew on staff for the following day and could do it right away, etc., etc. When you're spending this kind of money, you want several bids. Quality One was ZERO pressure and they were LESS EXPENSIVE than anyone else. They even tried to talk me out of doing a few extra little things! From the initial call to the sales rep who came to the house (fantastic, no pressure, presentation) to the people who actually came to do the work (BTW, they use some type of machine that pushes almost 100 of the dust out of the house! amazing!), they were terrific! I've already recommended them to several of my neighbors who have used them and are very, very happy. When I came home from work after they were done, it was like they weren't even there! I would recommend them to anyone! I'm extremely pleased with their work. more

Quality 1st Basement Systems came out when they said they were supposed to, and they accomplished the whole thing in one day. I think there were three guys, and they came out and worked their tails off. Everything worked really well, so it was a good experience from top to bottom. more
