I had a good experince, easy and fast appointment. Got my laboratory tests called to me and my prescriptions called into my pharmacy. I got reading material ( homework!) so I could learn more. Nice doctor, clean clinic, nice staff. Good job. more

This was my first visit back to see Dr Puri after spending the past 5 years living in Manhattan . Wow what a beautiful new building!The first thing i noticed was how busy they seemed to be . I was not suprised great Docs like great actors are in constant demand. I arrived 20 mins early to check in and hand over my charts from my New York Docs .To my suprise i was called back right on time and with in 5 mins or so I was meeting with Dr Puri . Dr Puri took his time going over all my options .I left that day felling secure and confident in my doctor and my future !Enclosing I would just like to say do yourself and fellow patients a favor . Come early and prepared insurance card co pay medical records ect.Take it from me the 96 percent of us who do dont want to listen to the 4 percent who dont bitch and moan ! more

Excellent experience. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr. Puri is an excellent doctor. He is extremely knowledgable and really cares about his patients. Very user friendly website which is full of useful information. Would highly recommend this practice if you are looking for a lung or sleep specialist. more

I liked this office. They have an excellent website. I was able to register online saving me a lot of time. There are handy patient relavent materials there. I could look up some diseases and also look up asthma treatments. more

My first impression when I walked in the office was that it was clearly overbooked. The waiting time is beyond the normal for a doctor's office. more

I came in for a simple sleep apnea test requested by my doctor. A month later I'm still trying to get in for appointments while hes having me do a hundred other things. There is also one specialist there that is rude to all hell and I actually refused to do a test since he was the only one to administer it. I guess his wife works there, or his sister. I know she shares the same name. But she had me move my car OUT of a NON-reserve spot, so she could park in TWO parking spots. They need to realize, you become a doctor for people, for your job, and for the love of knowledge, not for the god damn perks of bossing people around! Not to mention Dr. Puri insulted me quite a bit when we first met. I understand I am a woman going for medicine track, but it doesn't mean all women either have to be a nurse or a pediatrician. I am closing in on a surgery in 2-3 weeks, which I CANNOT push back any farther, and I still can't get my stuff done from them. I am absolutely PISSED and I don't want to go back to this place EVER again. I'm probably going to call around to see if I can get my info from them faxed to another office so I never have to go back here, and I can get my stupid test done so I can get my surgery! more

This doctor is not a professional in my experience. He does not want anyone questioning him AT ALL. He suggested a surgeon for a procedure and when I indicated that I would talk to that doctor and also get a second opinion he was furious. more

He was irate when I asked questions at my third visit about his diagnoses. I simply asked why he thought I do not have narcolepsy after being diagnosed with narcolepsy by three other doctors. He became irate and yelled at me. That was the last straw. Like the other reviews my appointments were canceled w/o any calls to me, they were disorganized and rude. If you have a problem with Dr. Puri you should file a complaint with azmd.gov. Cons: He won't explain his diagnoses, he yells @ patients & staff more

I had a sleep study done and found out that I have chronic insomnia. I have had to call the office a couple of times, and as we speak I'm still on hold, only to be put on hold and never have them pick up the phone again. When I do call back and get to talk to someone I've been told that they will ""talk to the Dr"" and get right back to me. I did this on Friday morning and it is now Tuesday afternoon and I'm calling them back!! When people have sleep problems getting the infomation you need or the prescription you need is vital. The office staff certainly need some more training! I'm not sure that I would go back to Dr. Puri as he didn't have anything different to tell me that my regular GP hasn't already said! I absolutely dreaded going to Pima Lung & Sleep. The office staff confused me with another patient, cancelled an appointment by mistake, and, I believe, lied to me about receiving referrals/medical records. They treated waiting patients with indifference bordering on rude, and had loud conversations inappropriate for work for the entire waiting room to hear. And I'm not alone--TWO friends of mine had similar experience and also dread their appointments. I was able to switch to Tucson Pulmonolgy, and I'm so glad I did. Best Doctor I've ever known. Amazing how opinions differ, but the other person who complained about him is all wet in my book. No office I have ever seen takes time to research new patients like him or to offer electronic accessibility to handle paperwork issues without coming into the office. He's Great! Office staff is very helpful and most know how to communicate with patients who speak Spanish primarily. He has been given super reviews all over the state; but you can't judge people without your own experience to back it up. His fees are fine with my insurance carrier, so I would have a hard time complaining about office charges if I were happier because some doctors get paid less for less service. Dr. Amitab Puri charged me $520 for a routine office visit. No tests were taken and no prescriptions offered. He spent 2 to 3 minutes with me. I had to see another Doctor to get any help. Her office charge was $100 and she ran tests and wrote me prescriptions for an inhaler and advair. Plus ordered me a nebulizer. This guy is a joke. Please avoid this place at all costs.
