Puppy Paradise

I bought a Yorkshire Terrier puppy from this Puppy Mill in my despair from the death of my Yorkie of 17 years. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY unless you are prepared for major Vet bills from over breading and inner breading. I love my little boy Yorkie but all if his problems could have been avoided with correct & conscientious breeding. These people make it look good, but do not care about the dogs. They are only in it for the money. The dogs pay the consequences! more

Jennifer and Stormee....have you actually bought a puppy from this lady? I have. I followed my chihuahua pup from the day she was born until the seventh week when I took her home. I am a Physician and my brother is a vet. The nursery at this kennel is clean and well maintained. I stopped in at multiple times UNANNOUNCED to check on my pup and Never found anything that I felt placed any animal in danger. The nursery pens were immaculately clean. I never saw feces or urine in the pen or in anyothers. My chihuahua is the Best pup I have ever had and I have had four. She is very healthy and extremely good natured. She weighs 3 lbs at six months. You have no idea what you are talking about and if I owned puppy paradise I would sue you two for Slander, Liable, and Deformation of Character. An attorney can find out your true identity and sue you for your ignorance in attacking this breeders character. You both sound like loud mouth redneck radicals with an ax to grind. Go harass someone else but leave this nice lady alone! You both are acting on hearsay not on facts. I would buy another dog from this nice lady and would recommend her to my friends. You should both be ashamed of yourselves for making such outrageous statements with No first hand knowledge. Buy a puppy from puppy paradise next time before you become an expert at slandering this hard working lady. The only reason this place got one star is because I have to click at least one. Everyone who has a puppy talks about how healthy they are. One woman said her puppy had mites but acts as if that is somehow normal because of the number of dogs. That is WRONG. Everyone who buys a pup here is contributing to the suffering of EVERY animal used for breeding...PERIOD. We own one of the former breeding animals from this place. She was bred repeatedly until she was too old and they literally got rid of her. They took no responsibility for finding her a home, just had someone else come do it. This dog was tested and immediately found to be FULL of heart worms. Read up on heart worms...it is eventually fatal and the dogs suffer a great deal. The dog almost died...she went into cardiac arrest and the only choice was to give her a very expensive treatment. I have photos of this poor dog after her first treatment. She had to be put on pain meds and moaned for HOURS in pain despite the pain meds. There is a risk that she might not survive. This woman claims to take ""excellent"" care of her animals, but here's a little tid bit for you. Heartworm preventative costs $30 for 6 months for a little dog. That breaks down to $5 a month. This woman sells puppies WITHOUT papers for $800, but can't spend $5 a month to keep the breeding dogs healthy? This is NOT an opinion, this is fact...she IS the reason animals are suffering, and some dying. If you buy a puppy from here you HAVE contributed to this suffering. ANY reputable breeder WILL let you see the parents to show that they are in good condition. Heartworm, mites, fleas, etc are NOT representative of dogs being well cared for. I'm glad to hear that the puppies from this place lucked out and are healthy and happy, but they came from diseased, suffering parents. Ask Clayton Animal Hospital about tihs place. They are the ones now treating an animal that was used, abused and thrown away from this ""family run"" business. Family run doesnt mean they a heart, it just means daughter learned from mother how to make an easy buck while giving no regard to the suffering going on around them. Again, look up heart worms. Read about the worst case scenarios. That is exactly what their breeding dogs are going through. This dog doesnt have ""some"" heartworms, here heart is literally full of them. Even with this treatment, there is the risk she will die. $5 a month was all it took to prevent this. Enough said. more

Everyone has an opinion, I LOVE my beautiful puppy I got from Puppy Paradise. This is a family run buisness. Everything was clean and nice. The owners were great! My baby is healthy and happy! more

I live near this disgusting excuse of a puppy breeder. This place should be called puppy hell instead of puppy paradise. My mother purchased a dog from here and she had tapeworms. In case any of you don't know tapeworms can be transferred to humans. The only reason my mom purchased the dog is b/c she felt terrible for it. In the summer this place wreaks of urine and feces even worse than in the winter. If they are such credible breeders why won't they let you look at the adult dogs? (trust me they won't let you back there). This place is disgusting. Don't bother to waste your time driving here. more

I bought 2 puppies and i had only one problem.... mites.\r But it is understandable with all the dogs there. My dogs were in good health!!!!. I bought them 2 yrs apart from each other and would get another. I paid 800 dollars without papers and that was what i could afford. If breeders would come down on their price i would have went there but they were too much money!!!. I do feel bad for the people with problem but this place has help me with aqiring my angles and i thank them for it. Pros: The price was what i can afford more

I couldn't even give this place a rating, but had to, because it needed a star. I don't think it deserved a star. I took my two sons there because they each wanted a pug. Like an idiot, I put down a deposit, I believe it was $150 a puppy, so $300 total on two pug babies. The remainder was going to be $1000. One of my sons changed his mind and adopted a ""pound hound"".Smart kid!! I asked if the other deposit could go just to the one pug. I was told no, because she had a business and she would lose money doing that. I reluctanly agreed and paid $800 for ONE pug. She gave him his shots, but he had never seen a vet. When he was six weeks old, we went to pick him up. She actually has a VISA machine in her kennel.....I was floored. I knew that I had been swindled by a miller. I mean really if you give someone with a good conscience $150, they would refund or apply to another account. I use this terminology since this is a ""business"". So, I got my little $800 pug and took him home. He was full of fleas......I mean hopping, biting, in between his facial folds, in his ears and even on his tail. I took my little puggie to the vet the very next day. The prognosis was worms, fleas and very underweight due to the first two conditions. And to the person who stated the ""wonderful care"" she gives her puppies: They only come in the selling/whelping room when mama dogs are about to give birth. The rest of these TOY dogs bear the outside elements daily. And when mama dog's pups are all sold, she is put back outside, only to await her next heat and litter. I'm sure I made a mistake by buying a pup from her, but I can't change time. But I won't repeat my mistake...Oh I forgot one other thing. You can't smoke in alot of restaurants in this area, but the smoke in her whelping/selling area was so thick it make you sick. No fresh air at all. I get nauseous just thinking about it. How newborn pups and nursing mamas adjusted to it is beyond me. Cons: Dogs unsocialized, flea ridden, at mercy of the elements more

This is a puppy mill. Would love to see them shut down. Puppy can be sick or get sick in letter years from the way there breaded. There are lots of breeders look for one that keeps there puppy's in there home are in a good clean place .Breeders that care will only breed one or two different breeds. more

To the two people that decided to write nasty comments about this dog kennel, let me clear you up on a few things. This is not a puppy mill, it is a kennel. The owner of this establishment has been in business for 29 years, and has always kept a wonderful reputation. She sells only to the general public, and not to pet shops, or other puppy auctions. She has worked very hard to keep this place going for so many years. Her love of dogs, and the knowledge she gained over the past 29 years, has helped her become a successful businesswoman. This kennel is very clean, and scrubbed everyday. The outside pens are cleaned everyday as well, whether it's rain, shine, or snowing. All her dogs are fed and watered everyday. In the summer, all the dogs are dipped for fleas, and the pens are sprayed down for fleas. All her puppies are given shots, and are wormed up to date, until they are sold. And you must not have paid close attention to the so called ""tiny cages"". The puppies and mamas are in fairly large pens stalls according to their sizes. They are fed, and watered everyday as well. The stalls are cleaned and bleached down everyday. Clean newspaper is used. These dogs receive wonderful care everyday of the year. I'm sure their pens and stalls are bigger than the cages you are keeping your precious puppies in at home. There is not a tiny cage at the kennel. All dogs have proper shelter and medicine as needed. You don't even know the long hours that is spent caring for these puppies. I wish you knew all the nights she has stayed up and bottle fed newborn pups, because their mamas pushed them to the side. And the trips to vets at all hours of the night because a mama had trouble delivering. Her kennel has been reccomended by several vets in this area. She also gets people from out of state here buying puppies. And if you thought this was such a bad place, you shouldn't have bought a puppy from here. This is a puppy mill. Dogs bred over and over their whole lives living in tiny cages. Never knowing what it is like to walk on grass. Sure, the puppies are cute BUT look at the parent dogs living in feces and filth. RUN from this place!! When you buy a puppy you are just opening a new slot for another one and keeping the cycle going. Don't be a part of this abuse!! more
