Don't Waste Your Time Using PSG 7/23/2013

STAY CLEAR OF PSG-UNETHICAL AND UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS PRACTICES\r This company posts jobs that do not exist. They make up job descriptions and claim they 'have an opening with a client' for such a position. I was told straight out by my PSG representative that the position I was inquiring about was not a ""REAL"" position. I told him this was both unethical and unprofessional. It's wasting the time of candidates who are making very serious attempts to find work. I have submitted resumes to agencies who openly state they are posting a 'general calling for candidates' for certain job titles and skills. I'd rather see this than be misled by PSG's lying. Your rep also wants you to tell them if you get any telephone or in-person interviews not from them! That's NONE of their business. Their mission should be to earn money by promoting and placing candidates. What I'm doing in my job search outside of their efforts has nothing to do with them. I don't care how many people they have on their 4 teams that they take you upstairs to show you, and possibly impress you, they are not to be trusted under any circumstance. I've written them off. I agree, there should be a negative rating.\r more

PSG STAFFING IS THE WORST AGENCY TO LOOK FOR WORK!!! I WENT TO THEM BECAUSE I WAS BEING LAID OFF FROM MY JOB, IN NOVEMBER THEY SAID THEY WOULD HELP !!! IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS AND I STILL DON'T HAVE A JOB!!THEY PUT FALSE AD'S ON CRAIGSLIST TO ATTRACT MORE UNEMPLOYED, JOB SEEKERS, THAT ARE STRUGGLING AND LOOKING FOR WORK!!! I WONT EVEN GIVE THEM A 1/4 OF A STAR!!! THEY ARE JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER STAFFING AGENCIES!!!! THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THEM!!! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/10/2012

Did not respond, highly unprofessional. I first contacted PSG through their online chat on their website. I spoke to an individual name Mallory who directed me to email my resume to a provided email address (likely hers) and was told that one of her co-workers would follow up with me early the following Monday. I did not hear back from anyone, so I contacted them again early in the following week. I once again contacted them via the online chat and spoke to Mallory. She first said that she would review my resume and contact me. She then stated that one of her co-workers would review the resume. This individual clearly does not have the ability to be consistent or follow through on her statements. I called the company later that day and left her a voicemail (which I never heard back from). This individual (and I expect the organization as well) is highly unprofessional and unable to perform her job properly. The time I spent on PSG was a complete waste. I had much better results upon contacting Beacon Hill Staffing, another staffing agency in the Boston area. They responded to me in a reasonable amount of time and communicated well; I recommend this agency over PSG. more

I've never used any other agencies so I don't have much to compare it to, but my experience with PSG was very positive. I had been let go from my job of 2 years when I decided to give them a call and they put me to work right away. I was able to network a university they placed me at, and while I found a perm job on my own, I still keep in touch with some of my contacts from that job. They kept me busy for about 4 months while I was on the hunt for a permanent job in my field of study, and I couldn't ask for much more.\r Pros: Kept me busy during my job search more

They don't even deserve one star 2/25/2009

Consider yourself warned! They will expect you to work for $9/hr while they sit in the office collecting $10/hr on each hire. They will take advantage of you, I suggest you go elsewhere or go it alone, you'd be better off!!! Pros: location Cons: everything but location more

Careless Staff @ PSG 1/22/2009

I typically never write reviews but this agency gets me all worked up. I've been in contact with the Professional Staffing Group several times throughout the past year. Not once have I had a good experience. The employees are incapable of their jobs. They lie and never follow up. I've had better luck on my own. It's a shame companies are using PSG to find talent. Cons: The Staff more

Attack of the Craigslist spammers... 3/3/2008

PSG comes on big with lots of craigslist ads, putting up average wages for jobs that everyone knows should pay more to begin with. Ask them about it, and they will blame the economy. \r \r This was the last agency I registered with before I FOUND MY OWN JOB. \r \r Tests: Great; Interview: they made lots of promises; Many calls later, No jobs.\r \r Why waste time setting up craigslist ads if the jobs don't exist...\r Pros: Lots of advertising Cons: Little follow up more

Not the best pay you can find 6/5/2007

PSG operates like all the other big agencies around, which is a good thing if that is what you are looking for. Personally I like the more personal approach of the smaller ones, but big companies like this one have advantages when it comes to the resources it has. If all you are looking for is a temporary assignment between jobs then this place might be good since it won't take long at all for them to find something for you. But where they fall short is the pushy salesmen mentality that is expected from big companies and that they pay a few bucks less an hour compared to many other agencies in Boston. The agents will push anything on you regardless of it's fit when they are in danger of not making their quota, so be aware of their intentions when they offer you something.\r \r I've known people that have had good and bad success with this agency, with no one is really in the middle. Mine wasn't the best, but since I know people that liked PSG I won't dismiss them entirely. Pros: Lot's of jobs Cons: Pushy, lower pay than others more
