Great Work Ethic 9/23/2019

We had our pool deck resurface by PROtile 15 years ago which worked out very well. It was easy to clean and was still in pretty good shape when we decided to redo our pool, deck and cage this year. We had no second thoughts about installing PROtile again for the pool deck. Their team from selection of the exact pattern to the installation was truly exceptional. It took 4 days to install and involved removing the old coating and applying multiple layers of the pigmented new surface. It was hard to believe but they did this without making a mess. They covered the pool and utilized a dust collector during the demolition phase and when they finished the area was clean and neat. The job involved vertical surfaces as well as the deck which presented no problem for the installers. I was amazed at their work ethic and professional manner as well as the quality of the finished product. more

Terrible Customer Relations 4/2/2017

In February 2016 we contracted for Pro-Tile to repair and resurface our pool deck. We paid $160 deposit and they agreed to do it in October. Just before they were due to start they advised us that they could not meet the agreed date. Reluctantly we agreed they would do it in December, although we would not be there. They agreed to email photos of the completed work, which they did. The photos did not show enough to assure us that it was OK. So we proposed to pay $1,000 on account and hold back the final $505 until we returned early January. At which point the ProTile representative became abusive and very unprofessional, implied that they had done us a favor by agreeing to do the work in our absence. When we returned home in January we saw that they had blasted paint off the house walls and our pool service company billed us for clean up of the pool that was necessitated by Pro-Tile leaving debris in the pool. We paid the balance and do not plan to talk to them again. more

ProTile would not honor the Contract they submitted 12/2/2015

I received a Proposal / Contract from Pro-Tile that stipulated that I had 90 days to accept it. Approximately 1 month later I phoned Pro-Tile to accept the contract, further discuss color options and firm up a work schedule. In this conversation I was told Pro-Tile would not honor the Contract due to a concern about ‘possible’ future delamination of the overlay. They were unable to offer an explanation as to why this was not mentioned earlier or included in the original contract. I phoned in a 2nd time and spoke with the General Manager and a 3rd time and spoke with one of the Pro-Tile owners. Both shared that they were not willing to honor their Contract. Interestingly enough each gave me a different reason for this posture. I should note that I had to place at least 2 follow up calls to make these connections as Jennifer did not honor her commitments to provide feedback. The BOTTOM LINE . . . Based on conversations with 3 different Pro-Tile Representatives I received 3 different answers for why they would not honor the Contract they submitted. These varied responses along with their customer unfriendly business practices are unacceptable and not typical of reputable companies. Whatever the real reason . . . REPUTABLE COMPANIES do not run their businesses in a manner that lacks integrity and takes on these customer unfriendly overtones. more
