Absolute Scam 8/9/2011

If I could put together a class action law suit against this company I would. They do not adhere to their contracts at all and their ""money back guarantee"" is a complete scam. I ended up getting a small modification but with no help from them but rather my husband and myself working directly with the bank and yet Pro City ended up with our money and did nothing for us. The bank said there was a minimal amount of attempts to call from Pro City reps and no docs were ever sent by anyone but me to try and work a deal with my bank. When trying to contact Pro City we always got voicemail and had to finally drop in to the office to speak with a rep only to find the employee turnover is very high and no one we originally worked with were there. We asked for our personal file and records showing what has been done to try and modify and we were never shown anything. I am thrilled to hear they are no longer around but wish we had been smarter to not have dealt with them from the beginning. Anyone that ever tells me they worked there will not be getting my business in the future. more

Pro City is your best advocate for a modification 3/30/2010

I am acquainted with Pro City, not as a customer, but as a professional in the field. Common sense dictates that, in any business, there will be dissatisfied people. I, personally feel that the modification business specifically lends itself to high levels of frustration for those involved.\r \r In my professional and qualified opinion, Pro City is far and away the best modification company I have researched or familiarized myself with. Actually, there simply are not that many left and even less good ones.\r \r I have read from disgruntled homeowners and professional alike, that one should not hire a company to assist with the modification process. Not only do I disagree with this broad-based, uninformed advice, it's objectively wrong advise to give. Has anyone actually called a ""free"" service? Has anyone actually dealt with a volunteer HUD counselor? Good luck! I am very qualified to say they, in this instance, ""free"" is way too expensive. They, like most free government programs, are a complete joke and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. As an alternative to the poor advice mention above, many encourage homeowners to do it themselves with no professional intervention. Anyone who says this automatically give away their lack of experience on the matter thus rendering their advice useless, as no one with experience could, in good conscience recommend that homeowners ""take a stab"" on their own. Homeowners fending for theselves on the lender's turf is absolutely preposterous in a vast majority of instances. They have no clue what to look for, and wouldn't know right from wrong if their, well, HOME depended on it.\r \r I know Pro City, like any other company, has a few customers that are not happy with the experience and/or result but I also know a couple other things: one, Pro City has helped thousands in this process of modifications and two, any bashing in these posts are a mixture of former employees, competition, trollers, legitmately upset customers and those that are embellishing or misrepresenting the circumstances. That's the nature of these kinds of forums, as I'm sure you know. Pros: Smart & Knowledgable People Cons: Challenges of the process itself more

Thank You Pro City 3/29/2010

Pro City Mortgage Saved My Home.\r \r I tried for almost four months attempting to modify my own mortgage. I did everything they asked… sent everything they requested… spent countless hours calling… and holding only to receive a letter in the mail from my lender stating DENIED!!!!\r \r I was very skeptical about paying a company upfront with money I really didn't have to spare. I was already strapped… hence the reason I needed a modification. I kept hearing these radio commercials as I'm sure most of you have and decided I had to do something if I was going to keep my house. I called Pro City Mortgage and then visited their office to see if they could do what I was unable to do…\r \r The process took about six months for start to finish… definitely longer then I was hoping, but Pro City got my $2025 interest only payment down to just under $1400 principle and interest. I did have to do a 3 month trial that I just completed. I feel that Pro City was very upfront with me and made this experience much easier then when I tried and failed on my own. I had a good experience and feel confident sending people I know to Pro City Mortgage.\r Pros: Professional, Honest and Upfront Cons: Expensive... but worth it. more

Pleased with Pro City 3/23/2010

Calling Pro City was without a doubt the best financial decision I have ever made. As a recently divorced single mother of two, I was struggling and falling further and further behind. The negotiators that worked with me were empathetic and knowlegeable, and genuinely had my best interests at heart. Pro City recently completed my Loan Modification, and I couldn't be more pleased.\r Thanks Pro City, you gave me back my life!\r \r more

horrible dishonest 3/13/2010

I have too today filed a complaint w/ kvor 13 ""call curtis"" I have also filed complaints w/ the Attorney General & the BBB.\r please contact me if you would like to further discuss, I believe that I have come up with a couple of ways that PCM has been deceitful & is in violation of breaking their own contract. Now its just a matter of getting enough people to prove the case.\r I have found that PCM has changed their contract numerous times, not to mention what they were charging people.\r PCM may have started w/ the best of intentions, when they started doing modifications, but then they saw $$$ signs & case load that got way to big & that all went out the window.\r I can be contacted @ jakchel@surewest dot net Pros: zero Cons: dishonest more

DO NOT TRUST PROCITY MORTGAGE!!!!! 3/11/2010

Do not give them a dime. If they are so confident that they can get you a modification then they should go get it and charge you later. They have complete control over your file once you pay them. They wont contact you because the game is to get more people to sign on the dotted line. Everytime you call you will get a new person to talk to and the last person you spoke with last time will no longer be with the company. There is nothing good I can say about this company. Do not believe a word they say.. You can do it your self so do it. They will tell you they have the inside back door to talk to the negotiators but they don't . They have the same 800 number that you do....SCAM! \r \r The rating I give Procity Mortgage is ZERO but they do not give us that option. Pros: Absolutely NOTHING Cons: Here today gone tomorrow! more

Please contact me if you had a bad experience with PCM 3/2/2010

Please, anyone that has had a bad experience with Pro City Mortgage, contact me. My wife and I have never been late or behind in any payment....ever, with our Mortgage or any other bill, but because we were in a really bad adjustable loan, we wanted to get into a fixed rate loan. Well, needless to say, why I am writing this is because my wife and I have also had a bad experience with Pro City Mortgage. Basically, we gave them $4000....and they have really done nothing except contact American Home Mortgage. They had promised to call us every 2 weeks with updates to our loan modification.....we've only heard from them once since we sat wtih them and initiated the process back in Aug. '09. Since then, I've had to call them 3 times and never gotten an answer to my questions nor has the Modification Specialist made any contact with AHM since the process began. I, myself have had to call AHM, find out who their negotiator was on their side, and have been having to deal with that negotiator myself since November and as of today, or loan still has not been finalized and not sure we even want to finalize on the modification because now we find out that, although they told us that they were getting us a fixed rate loan, I find out yesterday from the AHM negotiator that our loan is only fixed at 2% for 5 years...and that after that, the 2 years following it could go up to 4.8%. Well, in seven years it's even more important to us to have a low percentage rate because by then, both my wife and I will be retired or close to it! Pro City Mortgage has not followed through on 1 promise made to us....and we feel like they have stolen our $4000. \r If anyone else has had a bad experience with Pro City Mortgage, please email us at jbcroker at hotmail dot com. We are contemplating taking legal action...and maybe some of you would like to join us!\r Let's go after them!! Pros: There are no pros... Cons: Just walking into their facility is a mistake more

Scam Operation 1/28/2010

Yup, it's a scam. STAY AWAY!!! They took my $3,450 and didn't do a damn thing. They stopped working on my account when the 4 month contract was up without finishing. I had just started on modifying the 2nd mortgage after being denied on the 1st mortgage. All they do is forward your paperwork to your lender (and they aren't very good at it). In short, I could have done a better job myself for free. I have already filed a BBB complaint and I'm in the process of filing a DRE complaint. I will soon be in small claims court. Doesn't that sound fun? Don't end up like me. Find someone else to do your loan modification!! If I could have given them zero stars, I would have. One star is misleading rating. Cons: they steal your money more

Dont trust Pro-city 11/11/2009

they never give the updates every two weeks like they said, they havent done anything for us for 8 months now, now they tell us that there is nothing that they can do and they will keep our $1500. We were told that our situation was perfect for a loan mod, they lied to get our money. I am going to sue to get it back Cons: they must have hired a bunch of old used car salesmen more

Ripp off 9/21/2009

Worst business that I have ever had to deal with, the phone calls to keep you up to date are suppose to be every 2 weeks we got them about once a month with no ral updates to speak of. Then after almost 6 months they decided that they could not help us and walked away with $2840.00 of ours with no results. more
