We are fans of these guys! 9/27/2011

We are fans of these guys! We used them for our move a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier. I used another moving company a couple years ago and these guys were much much better. They showed up a little early for our 9 am time slot. They had the whole place loaded up, couch and bed shrink wrapped, misc. stuff that we ran out of boxes for packed in a little over an hour. The whole move took 3.5 hours. They originally estimated 4.5-5 hours so that helped. They were really close to the estimate. They offer a free estimate where they actually com out to your house and look at what you have. I would recommend doing that. It's free, it takes 20 minutes or less. They did a really great job. Fast, efficient, detail oriented. more

I agree with the other reviews. I was looking for a mover in Charlotte and came across Principle moving reviews and gave them a call. Out of all of the movers in Charlotte, they had the good price, worked with my scheduled move and met me at the other end on time and with a moving truck. What a concept a mover in Charlotte that actually moves you ! Great price as well. more

My overall experience with pPrinciple Moving Inc was good. I was really careful to make sure that I had everything that I was transporting on my inventory after the representative explained to me that how important it was to receive an accurate quote. This wasn`t the first time I moved, but it`s very different when you have kids. I really wanted the packing to be one less stress, so I signed up for full packing service. This also gave me some piece of mind, because they were able to pack my things professionally, and saved me the trouble of buying boxes. They did an excellent job. more

I appreciated the fact that that everyone was very helpful and made the whole process easy to understand. From getting the estimate to the actual move. And not to sound like an old fart by noting these qualities, everyone I dealt with at Principle moving was respectful and very polite. Mike and Alex moved everything in a speedy manor, but took care with all my belongings. I only found one tiny scratch on my frigerator, but considering that they had to navigate stairs, I am very happy with the overall move. And my great, great grandmothers mirror arrived in mint condition! This was a major expense, especially since I'm on a limited income, but your services helped eliminate a huge part of the stress I was feeling with my move. I thank you and your staff for everything and would use you in the future as well as refer your business to others. more

Long Distance BEWARE! 8/18/2011

My family and I have moved cross-country four times now, traditionally parting with most of the big stuff to avoid the hassle. This time, we wanted to keep them and let professionals help. The price was great and the reviews boasted of a professional, dependable company. Tatiana took my inventory and provided me with a binding estimate, and said standard delivery from NC to CA was 4-14 days. She was very nice; we reviewed a calendar to determine which day would be best for pick-up. When the movers showed up late on the 22nd of July, they were obviously from a different company. They were in dirty tank tops. What happened to ?moving crews are carefully selected?? My husband and I packed everything but the TV?s, our (organic latex) mattresses; my stone map, and wood trunk-per Tatiana?s instructions. We even moved it all to the living room. We were told it would be wrapped with care by ?professionals? as described in their contract. The guys couldn?t move my mattress down the hall, so my husband finally grabbed it (alone) and carried it to the truck. When they were done, they sped up the dirt drive and broke several tree limbs with their truck, honking continuously. I began getting very worried. After arriving in CA on the 30th, my family waited patiently, making do with air mattresses and loaners from friends. On the 3rd, I called to check the status of our shipment. I was told that Tatiana no longer worked for the company. When I asked when I should expect our things, I was told ?when I know for sure, I will call you, ok?. What choice did I have? No call. I called the next day and Anastasia told me that long distance moves take up to 21 business days and that the only one who could tell me the status of my stuff was TIM-the supervisor, whom was not in. Again, no call. I called a few hours later and Tim told me that my stuff was still in storage and the truck would leave the 5th or 6th of August. I called the 8th to check. Tim said our stuff was still in NC and would be leaving in a few days. I became very upset. I emailed my contact # just to make sure that there would not be any problem getting a hold of me when they did arrive. NOT ONCE DURING THE 27 DAYS THAT THEY HAD MY THINGS, DID I RECEIVE ANY CALLS. I called Tuesday the 16th of Aug. to confirm my contact #'s with Anastasia, again. She said the truck had left a few days ago and would arrive on Thursday. I was given a number for the truck & told that I could contact them for info about an arrival time. I did. The driver-Mike (not from Principle Moving Inc.) told me that he could come a day early. Great! When they knocked on my door at 9:15pm and began bringing in my things, my heart sank. My kids TV looked as if someone had kicked the center of it. My framed Kalifano-stone map was cracked in three places, and the frame had dings and scratches. The bunk bed frame had chunks taken out of the solid wood. The lid of my wooden trunk was hanging off; even our safe had a huge dent in the top. My lat more

Impressed Actually 8/17/2011

Hi guys. Don't want the guys at Principle Moving To freak out; this is actually a good review. The reason I gave 1 star is because people tend to pay more attention to the bad reviews other than good, plus you guys have a lot of 5 stars so I decided to mix it up a little. I wouldn't say that it was a great experience all the way around, but you know what, the result is what really matters. I submitted a request online and started getting all those phone calls from a whole bunch of moving companies. Some were calling from NY some from FL others even from IL. I was moving from Kernesville NC to Brooklyn NY and was really looking for a local company. I got a call from principle and by that time was tired from phone conversations so I insisted on having an onsite done. The next day the person came to my house, surprisingly on a motorcycle, a handsome young fellow: tall, dark long hair, blue eyes. He had a copy of the contract with him for me to review and a list of references which was very helpful because I did call some of them up. At the day of the move the truck was a little late, so I started to get a little nervous, I called the office and no one answered the phone, luckily the onsite guy left me his card so I called his cell phone directly. The move was supposed to start between 7-8am on Sunday. Tim (on site guy) explained that office opens at 10 on Sundays and that the crew leader or the foreman was supposed to contact me, which he apparently didn't. When the crew finally arrived they said that there was a truck malfunction or something, but still didn't explain why I was never called. From that point I was very skeptical about the whole move. Before signing the contract I instructed the guys of how I want everything to be made. I specifically requested the furniture to be padded and shrink wrapped. The way the guys were working made me feel very secure, and then I realized where all the good reviews came from. The guys really did an amazing job of protecting all my furniture. My leather sofas were padded and shrink wrapped as I requested, beds taken apart and also padded, there was not a single item that was left without a pad. After the guys loaded everything I expected the deliver to be made within 10 days. A week down the road they called me and said that the truck will be there Saturday morning. That Saturday the driver called me and said he is running late and will only be able to make it in late afternoon. So I sat at home all day waiting for the delivery, which was very frustrating. After the truck came, there were the same 2 guys that picked everything up in Kernesville. They looked tired and beat up but insisted to unload everything the same day. I was a little worried that they might damage some of the furniture, but surprisingly everything went just as good as it did on the other end. The guys were very professional and energetic despite the fact that they probably didn't sleep for the past couple of day. At the end of the move I checked every piece of furniture, which I strongly advice to do, everything was in the same condition. At the end I would like to thank principle movers and their support through out the whole move. I hope you guys get a lot of business. more

DO NOT TRUST- Cant give a negative star 8/15/2011

When it came down to my move everything was great. Unfortunately once my things arrived to my destination things went down hill. The top of my $1600 stove was destroyed while my $1400 refrigerator had a big dent and scratch in the front door. I understand things can go wrong in a move so when I called the company about the damages I was polite. They instructed me with what I needed to do and I did. 3 months later there is still no resolution. Never once has this company called or emailed with updates. After the initial email when they claimed that someone would call within a week, they never called. Those that have used their service and have no complaints that is great. However, I would not recommend them because should something go wrong, they wont step up. To show how bad this company is, they've even ignored the BBB. Oh well. They should be served sometime in the next week with their papers for court. more

I would like to thank the moving crew of Principle moving and especially their manager for helping me move my mother a few days ago. We had enough complications timewise during the process but they were with me all the way. Everybody was very patient and understanding and of course they did an excellent job. I am really grateful and will recommend them to all my friends and family. more
