Editorial review from Citysearch 8/21/2013

Worst apartments ever. 1st off: payed waaaaaaay too much to get ""luxury"" living as I did not want the typical cheap apartment experience. Well, the only thing luxury about this place is a few exterior cosmetic upgrades to make you think you're in luxury. But don't let appearances fool you - the construction is super cheap. \r \r 2nd major gripe: the walls are ridiculously thin & there is no noise insulation. The girl above me had 2 small children that RAN back and forth all day and late at night while she was out partying (her parents would babysit & didn't care what the kids did). It sounded like a heard of elephants banging around. It even rattled the lights in the living room. \r \r Also the girl below us had 2 big dogs, and she worked nights so while she was gone they barked... And barked.... And barked. All night. Every night. Again, there is no insulation so it sounded like they were in the room with us. \r We complained a million times to management, even escalating it to corporate, they did nothing. We even had videos as proof of the noise we sent them. They did nothing. (Greystar is the management company FYI. I'm not impressed by them). We called the peace officer many times, they did nothing. They wouldn't even answer most of the time or even call back, and not once did they ever come to investigate the noise. We also knocked on the neighbors doors numerous times & if they didn't answer left notes on their doors. Nothing changed. \r \r The walls were so thin I could hear the people's TV / stereos / conversations next door, could hear their baby crying at 2 am, could hear the people above & next to us having sex! And could hear their alarm clock going off at 5 am. Also the patio/front doors slamming was nonstop. Ridiculous. \r \r 3rd gripe is the severe lack of parking. I get home at 8 pm and there was never anywhere to park. I had to park 3 or 4 buildings away most of the time. \r \r Fortunately we did not have any problems with pests as some others did. We never got our unit exterminated either. Perhaps it's because we were on the second floor. Not sure. Only positive thing was maintenance was fast to respond to a request. \r \r By the way, I lived here in 2011 more

Overpriced Non-Resort Style Living 10/4/2011

First, the complex is way over priced. For the amount charged it rent, it is sad that they can't landscape the entire place. Only the entrance and units close to that are done. Units built later were forgotten as they overspent their budget. The 'beautiful preserve' behind us only brings unwanted guests in the form of HUGE spiders and small snakes and other critters. Dog owners don't pick up their dog waste and pet rent has been increased. Walls are very thin and conversations in neighboring units can be heard as well as tv or stereos. Patio doors slam at all hours of the day and night. Due to the location of the exits, all traffic seems to exit out of the secondary exit which makes for busy travel on one side of the complex. Parking in some areas is well abundant but on others is non-existant, luckily I have a garage but visitors are unable to find reasonable parking. Appliances and wood floors are very cheap. They will paint your unit, but the paint chips very easily. I love my apartment layout and if they hadn't cut so many corners while still charging us outrageous rent, I may be able to overlook some of the issues... but together, it's just not a good place to live. more

STAFF MEMBERS ARE PUSHOVERS 6/17/2011

I think the place in general is nice but, most tenants with dogs do not follow any rules especially the one about keeping your dog on a leash and not letting them in the pool area, mngt do not care much unless you keep reminding them to go outside and take a look. Once I even saw a dog in the pool taking a swimm, I complianed and one of the staff menbers mentioned that she was a nice lady and she waited to see if the lady would leave on her own, she did not and almost 45 min. later she went outside and told her to take her dog out of the pool area, by then the dog was already laying down by the pool, even new potential future tenants were there that day and saw it too , It was Sunday and only one lady was there.another time I called the number to reach security late at night one of the neighbors was drunk and too loud (3 am) for the second time, no one called us back or showed up at all. there was also a theft in the pool area couples of weeks after we moved in and no one took any steps to make the place safer. they will tell you before you sign that they have many police officer living there and that the place is safe, well, officers that live there are useless, Once an officer was walking his dog ( the one with the white dog) and took him into the pool area, chated with other people, one of the staff members came out to the pool area petted the dog sat down and had a good time watching the game, did not do anything about the dog being in the opool area. Most tenants do not follow rules someone has to enforce them, that's where mngt comes in but, they do not. that is why we left the place, maybe if there was a good mngt co. in charge things would be different, unfurtanately, they believe (mngt) that everything is under control, when in fact have many flaws. units are nice, ammenities were OK, normally grills did not have propane tanks filled, once a requested a tank for the grill and the lady there said we do not have any but we have the other ones where you put charcoal in them, for the money they charge to live there, the least they can do is have the grills in good working condition. pool is not heated. We used to take walks around the place and eventually we had to stop due to dogs running free and wild (no leash) and potentially dangerous. Mngt is not that nice once you start making observations about the place, even the community manager, the only one that always acted professionally and nice was( the red head) I do not recall her name. Make sure you ask a lot of questions before you move. Another really annoying thing the slamming of patio doors all day, It really get in your nerves after a while especially late at night when should be quite it, walls are to thing and yes you can hear everything that is going on on the next apt, including sex noises and fights. if you have children beware. more

I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/10/2011

I don't usually review things but I don't think it is fair to judge a place this great by one negative review. I have had a great experience with my apartment and the staff. They did encourage me to renew my lease and offered to clean my carpet and do touch up paint. The maintenance staff is always prompt and very sweet as well as the office staff. This is a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE!!!!! If you are having any issues with nature maybe you should not get an apartment that backs up to a nature preserve...or take advantage of the pest control service that comes once a week if you need it. This is truly grade A+ resort style luxury...don't believe everything you hear. more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE 6/8/2011

This Place is WAY OVER PRICED!!! I was one of the first tenants to move into these apartments. The "natural Preserve" next to it attracts many HUGE spiders and other unwanted insects into your home. Not only that the staff is rude. You would think people representing there company would be a little nicer in reguards to making me sign another lease to stay but nope. Everytime I call for a question in reguards to my apartment there short with me and talk to me like I am an idiot. The only thing that I was pleased with is the actual apartment floor plan although everything in the apartment is nice it is made very cheap. The wood floor scratches easy the walls stain super easy. When I signed my lease at the Beginning of the year I was looking forward to a wonderful year in a resort style home. Quite frankly I was wrong! more
