Absolutly terrible. Way over priced, and the technician has no idea what he's talking about. And then I find out they charge people different rates depending on what you drive and stuff. That is terrible!!!! GO ELSEWHERE more

Lives in Minneapolis 7/9/2011

I requested an oil change ($24) and possible brake job. Was told to bring in the car & would both be done in 1.5 hours. About 30 minutes after I dropped off my car, I got a call from the guy behind the front desk saying my brakes needed a complete re-working and the cost would be approximately $600 for my 2002 Honda. I said no way, I'll wait, and he tried over and over to convince me to get it done. I said no. Too expensive. Approximately 5 minutes later, the same guy called me back and said he hHmmmm. Why didn't he check with both vendors right away and offer me the best price?? He tried to offer making payments with free interest on their credit card, and many other incentives to get the work. I said definitely not. Scam! Well, then he said it was going to be another 45 minutes for my oil change. 1.5 hours for total brake job plus an oil change?? Now, 45 minutes more for simple oil change? Deceptive..... 6/15/2011

Got a discount coupon at Cub for an oil change at Precision Tune. Seemed like a good deal. Went to Precision Tune and they didn't want to honor the rate on the coupon but only offer money off their highest priced oil change. Confused but I agreed to go ahead anyway. When finished with the oil change, they said my car was unsafe and needed immediate repairs. Since I was already suspicious with the bait and switch dealing with the coupon, I declined the repairs. Brought my car to a mechanic and they told me none of the repairs needed to be done. My car only had 70,000 miles on it and was still in good operating and mechanical condition. Precision Tune wanted over $300 for unneeded repairs. Word to the wise, be careful. more

Worst Customer Service Ever. 3/20/2011

When I dropped off my vehicle for a simple oil change and tire rotation i was given an estimate of 90 minutes. After 3.5 hours I finally complained (after watching through the window and not seeing anyone lay a hand on my car). The desk clerk started to argue with me rather than take me seriously. This was one of the most frustrating retail experiences of my life, due to their lack of attention. Clearly they don't care. Go somewhere else, avoid the jerk behind the counter. more

overfilled oil, problems with coolant and rude service 1/18/2011

I took my car here for an oil change, tire rotation, windshield wiper blades and winter check up. After they finished with my car, I drove back to my home. On a 15 minute drive, I noticed my car was smoking and the oil temp was higher than usual. They left the coolant cap off. The heat stopped working when my car was idle, and the oil temp was getting high enough to be in the danger zone. My father who knows quite a bit when it comes to cars looked at it. Turns out Precision overfilled my oil by a quart and messed with my coolant system. We brought the car back in (I had my dad go with me this time). The man at the front desk argued with us a lot. He claimed he gave me a form and that he offered me services for my coolant, neither of which he did. The mechanic fixed my car, but the front desk person was very rude. I will never go back there again. more

Dishonest 12/31/2010

I made the unfortunate decision to take my car here for an oil change. What they do here is lure you in by advertising an oil change for around 20 bucks. Then, they will try hard to sell you additional expensive auto service and lie to you in the process about the price. The front desk person quoted a certain price verbally to me for transmission flush service to which I agreed. After the service was done on my car, I was told that the price was 90 dollars more than what was verbally quoted to me. Although the printed copy of the estimated quote showed the price as 90 dollars more than what I had expected and was given to me before the service was completed, I didn't notice it because (1) the amount was printed very small at the bottom (2) the guy never pointed the correct amount to me on paper and (3) he verbally quoted me at a lower price. I was mad. When I confronted him, he simply denied ever saying the price to me instead he pointed to the amount on paper. I understand that more

I had a great experience with Precision Tune in Eden Prairie. Mechanics were always honest about my cars condition and never tried to up sell. They even gave me tips on what would be easy and cheap to fix on my own/ with my friends help that would cost me a fortune in the shop! Dont have a single complaint about this shop. more
