Precision Auto Care

This shop is horrible! The techs aren't certified, repairs as simple as an oil change take all day, the customer service of all employees, including the owner are beyond unprofessional. I went in for a simple radiator swap, was there for 5 hours, the tech that worked on my car never changed out a radiator before. And two days later my transmission starts leaking and slipping gears. Come to find out, radiator was installed improperly and Precision Auto Care wouldn't acknowledge the issue and instead I got screamed at by the bosses son/tech. I have heard and seen too many complaints to ever go back, I advise you to stay as far away from this shop as possible. Mitch(the owner) can't employee the same techs for longer than 6 months either. more

Went to Precision to have my radiator repaired and left with more issues. They broke a part and caused my transmission to leak. Went to the shop and they yelled at us and would not claim any responsibility or even look at the problem. Will never return to this shop. Mitch hires non certified techs that yell at customers. more

I took a vehicle in that had a couple simple issues that needed addressed. I received a fairly large bill for the work, but was pretty confident they had done the job right. It turned out that when the problems continued I had a friend who knows a bit about mechanics look at it and nothing in the least had been done to the vehicle to fix the problems. So I took it back in and told them nothing had changed, and I sort of expected them to fix it properly with little or no cast. What happens? I get stuck with a new costly bill. Two thumbs way down. more

I was traveling south on I-5 when a belt broke. I just picked this place because it was close. I found them to be courteous and helpful. They had to order the belt but they did a safety inspection and found I needed four other belts. I thought there prices were reasonable. They fixed the problem that day. And they went the extra mile for the safety check. I am forever grateful and will be going back to them again - hopefully, not on an emergency basis! more

When I moved to Salem one of my first priorities was to find a mechanic I could trust. Mitch and his staff have met and exceeded my expectations. I have had oil changes, factory maintainance, and major repairs done at Precision and have been impressed with their knowledge, timliness, and honesty. more

Precision Auto Care's work is high quality, quick, and accurate. I have been using them ever since they opened, so several years. They have done some major work for me including transmission work, engine work, and comprehensive auto care. I would highly recommend them; they are accurate, honest, and a pleasure to work with. more

I have used Precision Auto Care for years, even before Mitch owned it. With auto repair shops, you have to find someone honest and place your trust in them. Under Mitch's ownership, they have maintained the same standards of integrity. They tell you straight up and down what needs to be done, and they explain your options to you. They have done a variety of work for us over the years. Most recently, they did an engine replacement. They have been great. more
