We've been taking our dog and cat to Prairie Oak for a couple of years now. The staff is always friendly, caring and interested. We take advantage of the conveniently located scale in the waiting area to check our dog's weight each month. The desk staff never fails to ask how he's doing and make a note in his chart about his current weight. Dr. Burks has gone out of her way to help us figure out both our dog's best diet plan and our cat's problem with scratching furniture. She has personally called us back to answer even our stupidest questions. She spent a good half hour one evening calculating the k-calorie content of our dog food for us! I have chameleons and snakes, and its not always easy to find a vet who can help. My baby chameleon was ill, i didn't know what to do. He had gone from beautiful, fat and healthy right down to skin and bones with sunken eyes within 3 days... They helped me to feed him, gave him medicine and promised to do everything they can to help me get my little guy back to health over the next few days. I worked for this clinic for an 8 month period and I still continue to take my animals to them. They are wonderful and have the best animal care in my opinion. They listen to their clients and make them feel comfortable with the care their pets recieve. They also have excellent care for smaller animals such as pet rodents, reptiles, etc. more
