I must say that I would not describe my experience with Dr. Jetmalani and her office as positive. In fact, I have made the decision to not use her as my dermatologist any further...

Very unprofessional and rude more

Editorial review from Citysearch 4/15/2013

I had an appointment with Dr. Alexander and it was the WORST experience EVER. He spent less than 6 minutes with me (the average appointment time is 15 minutes) He did not even listen to my concerns. I have family hisory of melanoma and plenty of sun exposures and tattoos, Im high risk and he didnt seem to care much about anything expcept getting out and onto the next patient. I also suffer from psoriasis, and when I asked him about it he simply said ""that looks like psoriasis or eczema or something...."" great answer doc. Never ever ever again, the other doctors there are amazing, I know plenty of people who go there and love it but steer clear of Dr. Alexander. SERIOUSLY. more

Portland Dermatology Clinic / Dr. Alexander 2/22/2012

Dr. Alexander at Portland Dermatology Clinic and his nurse told me I would have a tiny little scab on my face, and upon removing the bandage the next day, it was NOT a tiny little hole. I didn?t have a good feeling from the first time I met Dr. Alexander. more

Wow, the Doctors are always late. They 2/13/2012

Wow, the Doctors are always late. They made my wife feel like a peace of meat, and haven't helped her much at all, but what really makes it feel uncomfortable is that they have an administrator named Alicia that is very rude. She doesn't mean to be, but naturally comes off tart and acts as if you are a pain her her butt. Furthermore she talks to the other staff members like they are dysfunctional children. The whole waiting room overheard her and we all felt awkward and bad for her fellow employee. That stuff needs to stay behind closed doors. That woman needs to find work at Walmart....... Pros: null Cons: null more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! My visit with Dr. 1/20/2012

SAVE YOUR MONEY! My visit with Dr. Bremner was worthless. Perhaps med school was too boring and caused so much debt, that all doctors care about nowadays is their $$$. Pros: null Cons: null more

Late 10/14/2010

My total time at the office was over an hour! Over half an hour in a gown waiting for the doctor with no warning. I was tired after working all night and had made the appointment for first thing in the morning. There was no apology either. The office was great and I might switch to another MD there, but I found Dr. Alexander to be a little condescending, and not too thorough. I had concerns that were not fully addressed and left unhappy with the visit.\r \r For example, when I asked about my facial skin problems, I didn't get advice or tips, I was asked if I wanted a prescription acne treatment. That's not what I wanted, I wanted advice on a natural health product line that is good and non-irritating. He didn't even take the time to ask about the products I used, because he felt that there are too many people out there selling stuff to make money. He's not the doctor for me. more

Dr. Wrong 9/21/2010

Dr Adler failed to diagnose my problem and wouldn't run the tests I asked for. Sent me home with OTC Cortizone cream for a severe food allergy causing severe skin lesions. I immediately went back to my allergist in Vancouver and got taken seriously- they ran the tests and I was diagnosed with the food allergy- and given Rx to treat it. My skin problems have been gone for 6 months now. And Dr Adler got paid anyway. more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE 5/12/2010

I have severe actinic keratosis (pre-cancer) on my lip. I waited for over an hour for Dr. Adler. When he finally came into the room, Dr. Adler spent approximately 30 seconds with me in my appointment. Not only did he dismiss me, he also gave made incorrect information about how to treat my lip. I have been in agony for the past week, and Dr. Adler completely dismissed my condition. Thank goodness I talked to another doctor. Dr. Adler should NOT be rated among the best doctors in Portland. He is awful. more

Great Experience: Exceeded Expectations 4/30/2010

As a health care provider myself, I am generally suspicious of these MD review sites, as often those who post negative comments have bigger issues that have nothing to do with their actual appointment. The docs cannot answer back negative criticisms because it would be a violation of patient privacy. But, that said, a good review should be shared! more

Great Experience: Exceeded Expectations 4/29/2010

As a health care provider myself, I am generally suspicious of these MD review sites, as often those who post negative comments have bigger issues that have nothing to do with their actual appointment. The docs cannot answer back negative criticisms because it would be a violation of patient privacy. But, that said, a good review should be shared! I had my first visit today with Dr. Adler. The receptionists were friendly, ready to help me right away, and flexible when it turned out I didn't have my insurance card with me. No sooner did I sit down to complete my paperwork, and I was being called into the exam room. The room was clean, the medical assistant was professional. Dr. Adler arrived within 5 minutes of me getting into the exam room. He did a skin exam that was very thorough (more thorough than I've ever had before). He addressed my skin complaints and discouraged me jumping to expensive treatments like laser, etc until I had tried some more basic treatments that he felt would solve my problem without costing a fortune! I was very impressed and will definitely go back. more

Very unprofessional and unhelpful. 3/10/2010

When I first arrived for my appointment, I was not greeted...the receptionist did not even look up. She was texting someone. When she did finally call me up the process was pretty easy, I registered as a new patient and waited to be called. Pros: Free parking, nice office Cons: Everything else more

When I first arrived for my appointment, I was not greeted...the receptionist did not even look up. She was texting someone. When she did finally call me up the process was pretty easy, I registered as a new patient and waited to be called. When I got into the exam room, the nurse asked me if I would like to have a full skin exam since I was a new patient--I agreed. So, there I sat for about 20 minutes, naked, in an exam gown waiting for Dr. Resnick. When she finally arrived in the room, she asked why I was here to see her. I explained my problem and she looked me over very briefly and told me that it was nothing and that I just needed to moisturize. Okay???? As for the skin exam, she looked on my arms, which were mentioned in my problem areas and my legs, she mentioned some mild acne on my face and that was it. There was no exam. She gave me some over the counter samples and sent me on my way. She seemed very rushed and was very dismissive. This appointment was total waste of my time. I saw my primary care dr. and they ACTUALLY treated me....imagine that. I thought going to a specialist was the right thing to do....maybe it is....just not here. If I could give this place and that dr., no stars, I would. Pros: Free parking, nice office Cons: Everything else more

Flexible Appointments!!! 3/4/2010

I have had patient visits with both Dr. Alexander and Dr. Bremner; the patient care was extremely professional and efficient. I thought that I kept having a bad allergic reaction to something I was eating; but it turned out to be Psoriasis. I've been inaccurately diagnosed for the last year. Both proved to listen to my problem and ask a lot of questions to make sure they understood the details. If it wasn't for their high standards of patient care, I'd probably still be battling my skin problem. Thank you! Note- the staff were extremely friendly and helpful; I didn't feel rushed or ignored one bit. Pros: Genuine and Professional Patient Care more

Always helped me out! 11/4/2009

I have very sensitive skin. I have seen 3 of the doctors at this practice and they have all been very helpful. They were able to immediately identify pityoriasis rosea and cure various other small skin issues. One of the best testaments I know of to their skill lies in the experience my mother had there. She had a pre-cancerous spot "removed" by Patricia Norris (another dermatologist in town). As it turns out, Patricia did not remove it all. She went to get a second opinion at Portland Dermatology and they removed the rest of it as well as scheduled multiple checkups to make sure it was all gone. These folks are more than proficient and I could possibly owe the health of my beloved mother to them. Love this place! Pros: very experienced & knowledgeable more

Portland Dermatology Clinic gets a gold star in my book and I have spent many hours in reception areas waiting to receive medical care. The staff was friendly, took time to make sure I understood the care I would be receiving. The physician I saw was friendly, warm and offered alternatives to better care for my chronic skin condition. I would highly recommend! Pros: friendly atmoshpere Cons: ran a little late, but staff informed me of schedule upon arrival more
