Port Salon & Day Spa

I had scheduled my wedding party at this Salon this past Saturday, to say I was disappointed in the finished product would be an understatement. Though my dis-satisfaction started earlier in the week. I went in for Highlights and Lowlights, I showed a picture of what I wanted and came out nothing like that as well as didn't bother to touchup my current highlights where it was growing out. Fast forward to a couple days later I had to have a trial run on my hair and makeup, hair was not what I was expecting and makeup well that was a complete disaster. I was hoping that I would look really good coming out of the Salon with professional makeup done, but was the exact opposite and looked like I was punched in this face, as well as when I said I wanted a smoky eye the girl drew like batwings in the corner with no shadow on the eyelid it looked absolutely horrendous. I was petrified and went home and had to completely redo my makeup. She mentioned not to worry that come my wedding day it would be better. Oh and of course no discount was offered and still charged full price for something that looked like a kid drew on my face. Obviously I was concerned now going in on my wedding day but couldn't do much about it because it would have been to late for a wedding party of 10 to go somewhere else. My concerns quickly became reality, my cheeks were bright red, as well as the eye shadow on my lids were red yes red doesn't exactly say dark smoky eye. My mother you couldn't even tell she had makeup on, and all of the girls except for one had problems with the makeup. Luckily we had 3 hours before the start of the wedding, and my friend brought her makeup we went to the venue and she completely redone everyones' makeup. She then went and bought a straightening iron to help fix some of the girls hair. Oh I also forgot to mention I had received a spray tan and couldn't even tell. After all of this no discounts, apologies, or anything was given. The makeup girl knew we were not happy. I ended up pouring over 400 in this place in a weeks time for hair, make up, tan, wax, color and cut and brought 9 others in with me. Only for everyone to walk out completely disgusted and I felt ashamed for choosing this place.\r \r more

My daughter and I get a massage every 6-8 weeks so for my birthday my loving clueless husband bought a gift certificate from Port Salon...had the receipt & everything, for the price that he paid for me to get a massage both my daughter AND I could have gotten one somewhere else so I tried to get my husband's money back...instead the only thing I could do is waste the certificate or pay more for my daughter to come. That was the WASTE of money...the 3 of us could have gotten a massage for that price. Then there was the waste of time...only got 25 minute light rub down...no massage what-so-ever...I could have done that to myself. I don't think they were certified massage therapist just fill ins. So far from the truth! I also was in the salon, as a client getting a full day package. This person caught my attention because of the foul language she used and the constent degrading in which she continued to complain about her own mother, being psycho. Well, the apple doesnt fall far from the tree!! more

My daughter has always had her updos done at the Port for all the dances including prom. We have never had a problem. She looked beautiful. She's already decided that the Port is the place she will get her hair done for her wedding. Thanks again for making her day. more

I find everyone at Port Salon and Day Spa to be very friendly and helpful! I would recommend them to everyone that I know!! more

DO NOT GO HERE! I recently got married on the 24th. I had spent 50 the first time on a trial bridal hairdo that started falling out before i made it home. while she was doing my hair she told me she specialized in color. So i trusted her to put blonde highlights in my hair. I went had my nails and toe nails done and partcial blonde highlights costing around $180 the day before my wedding. It takes my hair a long time to dry so after i left it was several hours later when my fiance asked me "i thought you were having blonde highlights put in your hair". You couldnt see the differnce what so ever. I called and talked to the owner she offered me a 10% discount but wanted me to pay to have my hair done for my wedding. At this point I didn't trust them to touch anything but my nails (which i could have gotten done cheaper and prettier at any nail salon). I went to a high dolar place because i figured you get what you pay for but not at this salon. The owner was rude and doesn't care about her customers and everything their website says about customer satisfaction is a lie. I will never go there again they do not care and are only out for your money! I feel like they own me $200 and did nothing to fix the situation and still wanted more money and wanted me to have my hair done there for my wedding while being rude. Very bad business. more

I have been to Port salon and Day Spa multiple times for different services! I have enjoyed my experiences there so much that I plan on going back! Jayne did my hair and did a wonderful job! I also find it to be a very clean and friendly environment! more
