Poochi's Pet Salon

We've been bringing our shihtzus, Winston and Betsey, to poochi's for 10 years. Robin has always taken great care of them. Betsey fur is thick and prone to mats and as much as I try it happens sometimes, but my dogs have never been hurt at poochi's. the prices are great, the people are so friendly and love the animals, and the establish,ent is super clean. Give them a shot and you won't be sorry. more

Called other shops in the area looking to get my dog groomed this was the ONLY one who would kindly take me same day. The staff was friendly and I loved her haircut. Its a shame that others had a unpleasent experiance but I can say from my experiance that they are my first choice as far as my sadie is concerned. Took my dog there after reading the reviews on this site. Met the girls there they are great super friendly and great with the dogs. I walked into a clean shop which was a nice change. My dog came back pretty and happy. I guess sometimes we all have to make desicions for ouselves. I tried this place and I loved it. A groomer at this salon was observed yanking tangles from a dog rather than gently working through them. I came to this site to write a review and was surprised to see a previous negative review on this site for the very same reason. This groomer wrote a rebuttal blaming her bad behavior on the dog's owner for allowing mats to form. THIS IS NO EXCUSE FOR HURTING AN ANIMAL! Customers entrust you with the care of their pet. I want to take the time out and respond to the negative feedback. I was the groomer that was BIT by the little 10lb shih-tzu and I think it was very sad that you found it amusing. I think I would not have been bitten if he was not matted and brought in more often. I could handle him being upset I UNDERSTOOD why he bit me several times because being matted is painful. But on a lighter note we have gotten MANY new customers that are extremely pleased with our services. So you can now read both sides of the story and choose for yourself. These people are INCREDIBLE. I finally went here because everyone else does. I couldn't believe how CLEAN and kind everyone was. The prices and the quality of the grooming FAR exceeds anyone near to this place. Pros: Price and QUALITY Cons: None that we can think of more

Do NOT take your pet to this place. I have been taking my dog here for 11 years. The last time I took him, I was told he was ""bad."" (Please keep in mind this is a 10 lb shih-tzu...not a pit-bull). When I took him today, I reminded the owner, Martin, that this was the dog who almost got kicked out the last time. He told me it was not that my dog was bad the last time I took him, it was because when they told me how bad he was, I ""laughed."" I then asked for an explanation (I could not believe they would get mad because I laughed). He then told me to leave his business. I could not believe it and asked why. He then told me to, ""Get the f*ck out of his business."" He told me he was going to call the police. I advised him I work at the Orlando Police Department (have been working there for over 8 years) and to call them. As I left, he called me a ""b*tch."" I waited for the police officer to arrive. Once the police officer arrived and went inside to get their side of the story, he came out laughing and advised me to just take my pet to Petsmart because of how unprofessional and emotional the staff was (ROBIN and especially the *male* owner, MARTIN). He told me Petsmart is better and cheaper. Do NOT take your dog to this place!! The owner of the business is a poor excuse for an owner and is the most unprofessional person I have EVER run across. I am so sorry my 10 pound, 11 year old shih-tzu was bad. I will put him in the corner and tell him not to EVER disrespect your staff again! HA! What a JOKE! DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!
