I get almost every dress I buy altered, so I have spent a lot of my life with seamstresses and tailors. Things aren't always ready on time and they don't always turn out right the first try, it's the nature of the business. \r
\r
Not at any tailor, not at any business, ever, have I come across such atrocious customer service. (I don't usually review businesses, even when I have a bad experience, but in this case I felt it was my duty as a good citizen to warn others.)\r

I showed up to pick up a dress that I had dropped off four days earlier (along with four other dresses). I asked that this dress be ready today so that I could take it to an out-of-town wedding that I am leaving for tomorrow. I had an unlimited timeline for the other pieces. The only alteration required on the dress was to let out the hem. The dress was not ready when I arrived. I was annoyed. I asked why she had not called me to tell me it would not be ready as promised. \r
\r
The owner did not once apologize to me, but instead immediately began berating me for not giving her enough time. She questioned me about how long I had known about the wedding. At this point I asked that she return my dresses, as I'd prefer to take my business elsewhere. She peppered me with questsions and inferred I was lying about my conversation with her colleague when I dropped of the dresses.\r
\r
When I didn't take her bait she said: ""Whatever terrible things you're thinking about me, I promise you we're all thinking those things about you too, plus some."" After a bizarre episode where she kept insisting I sign various papers to take the dresses back that had not been altered, I left the store (having signed as she asked) only for her to follow me into the parking lot screaming and hollering about who knows what.\r
\r
It's very sad because the woman I worked with when I dropped the dresses off could not have been more lovely. She was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. But, Polly ... Before logging on here I thought she must have been having a nervous break down or a psychotic episode. But, it seems more likely based on these reviews this is just the way she does business.\r
