Pleasant Street Dental - Dr. Meena Yegneswaran DMD

Dr. Meena Yegneswaran and her staff were most professional, kind, expert and excellent in their dental service. I had a problem with a cracked, hollow tooth and they gave me an immediate appointment and performed the remediation very thoroughly. I later had another dental problem and they made an immediate appointment and did a great job on it. Dr. Meena and her staff were also most helpful in the financial and insurance details. I highly reommend Dr. Meena and Pleasant Street Dental for healing, expert and caring dental work. more

I made an appointment here earlier this year to take care of an abscessed tooth. When I finally got a staff member on the phone (after leaving several phone messages) she booked an appointment for me but never asked what the appointment was for. When it was time for the appointment I found that the dentist was not there, only the dental hygienist because they though I was there for a cleaning (???) and they told me to come back later for the exam! Since a dental abscess is very serious and I was scared of having to delay treatment any further, I demanded that they do x-rays and give me a refill on my antibiotics that I had already received from my urgent care visit. My actual appointment with Dr. Meena was ok, but her office staff was rude to me - especially when I noticed that they charged my insurance for my x-ray after I had paid for it out of pocket and asked why (not to mention the attitude I got when I tried to explain on my first visit that I had insurance that had just gone into effect from my new job but did not yet have my insurance card - they refused to believe me). I have further dental work that will be done this month but am I going back here for it ? NO WAY! more

I went to this office thinking that I would be seeing another dentist. Once I got there it was told to me that this dentist that I thought I was making an appointment to see was no longer there - as a matter of fact this dentist had not been there for over 3 years! I was told by the hygienist that I needed full mouth deep cleaning because I had periodontal disease. I questioned this because my teeth did not bleed when I flossed or brushed. I called the Board of Dentistry and they told me that I would need full mouth x-rays for this to be determined and a full periodontal chart. Neither were done. As a matter of fact the dentist in YellowPages.com said that I refused this procedure, which was an outright lie. She also said "maybe I did not even know that a perio chart was being done". How crazy is that? I went to another dentist who told me that I did not need this procedure and then I followed up with a periodontist who also said that not only did I not have periodontal disease, but that I also did not have gingivitis! How many other people has this dentist scammed? The Board of Dentistry be the ultimate ones to make a conclusion regarding this dishonest dentist. I have had to put 1 star even though this dentist is dishonest. more
