Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital

I just moved to Pleasant Ridge and took my dog in to see Dr. Jaax on a Saturday (bonus!). My dog has been getting a lot of lumps under his skin in the past year. I took him in expecting the worst and she instantly put me at ease. She aspirated all of the lumps (4 total), a process that only took about 15 minutes, and recommended removing one that had abnormal cells. I was concerned about the cost, but she and the techs explained different payment options available, like setting up a payment plan or applying for a line of credit with 6 months interest free. I was able to get the payment issue sorted out right then and there and set up an appointment for the lump removal less than a week later. I asked them if I could get his teeth cleaned while he's under anesthesia, which would save me a bunch as opposed to having his teeth cleaned at a later time, and they said they could do this as well. After having our first experience with putting a dog down, I have to say I was VERY impressed with the compassion shown by everyone at this office. My husband and I cried, Dr. Jaxx cried, the techs cried--and they didn't really even know our dog!\r The techs made a clay paw-print for us, which now hangs in our house, and a week after we had to put her down, we received a condolence letter from the staff. Wow!\r They even let us take her home so we could bury her in the yard.\r Although it was a sad occasion, Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital made us feel comforted and at such a sad time, it was really wonderful.\r They understand that a pet is a part of the family. I'll never take my dogs elsewhere while I live in Cincinnati. more

Dr. Jaxx and Dr. Chase have provided nothing less of excellent care since my first visit. My dog has epilepsy and they are the ones that diagnosed her and managed her treatment and monitoring. I have several conversations on the phone with each of the doctors regarding my dog's condition. I just recently moved and it will be hard for me to find another vet that will measure it to their standards. more

I wouldn't even consider taking my little girl anywhere else!!! My Jack Russell Terrier is my baby. They treat her like a queen at Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital, as if she was their dog. But I get to take her home. more

I met Dr. Chase at Covedale Pet Hosp. 12 years ago. And to my surprise one day I found out she had left me!!!! So I found out she opened The Pleasant Ridge Pet Hosp. and away I went. It takes about a half hour to get there but it is well worth the drive for my dogs and myself. Dr. Chase Dr. Jaxx and staff treat us like we are family. They have a wonderful say "Tableside/Bedside" manner with us and they understand that our dogs are our kids. They always go out of their way to help us out. The staff is AMAZING!! There is only two people I trust to do Andy's nails and they know who they are and they are so patient and caring with him words can not describe the length all of them will go for you. Dr. Chase even came from home one night and met me at the office to take care of my ferret. She kept him all night maybe even 2 nights (I can't remember) so she could monitor him to see if he was getting any better. We've had nothing but good experiences here in the last 6 years. They lovingly cared for two elderly cats and a new dog over this time. They are polite, professional and always accommodating! more

Dr. Chase and Dr. Jaax and their staff are to be noticed as the best pet clinic in cincinnati! I have owned 5 dogs in my married life and used a few vets. The staff at Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital is caring and supportive. Everyone from the receptionists to the lab technicians is helpful and kind. My dog and I were treated as individuals rather than just clients. Drs. Chase and Jaax are top notch. They supported me through a challenging year with an adopted rescue who had many problems. They sat on the floor to examine him because he was so scared. Dr. Jaax spent time on the phone with me to decide the fate of my dog, and she cried with me when we put him down. Convenient evening appointments are always available. Phone calls are returned promptly. I have used two other vets, and these are the best! more
